Duplication is a Myth
If you are in Network Marketing I’m sure you heard the term “Duplication” and how important it is.
Most people think duplication is how to find people for their team. And they think they have to do the same as they were found.
I was stuck in this believe for a very long time.
Because nobody is like me
Let’s say, I bumped into a car with my shopping cart. The guy gets out, we shout at each other and then calm down, exchange cards and because on my card there is a URL to my business, and because the guy is curious, he goes, visits my site and signs up.
Duplication kicks in
Of course now he has to shove his shopping cart into other people’s cars! And so do they! That’s duplication!
Let’s say I make all my sign ups through Traffic Exchange. Does that mean you, who found me through my ad now also has do to Traffic Exchange? Of course not. Nobody stops you though, but it could be that you are new to TEs and don’t really enjoy surfing and looking at other people’s websites all day long just to get a few points and hoping other people will sign up to you.
But maybe you are a Youtube person. Maybe you love to create videos and you are really good at it. Then do that!
What Duplication Doesn’t Mean
Duplication doesn’t mean your team now has to create videos. They suck at it, they rather watch videos. But they have a few thousand contacts on Facebook or on Twitter.
Duplication does not mean that their team members have spend their days on Facebook or Twitter maybe they are much better at talking to people, on the street, on the phone.
Their new team member whom they talked to at the Wallmart cassier box might love Skype and has lots of contacts and is just good at conversation and conneting.
Their new team member just loves surfing and has a dozens of Traffic Exchanges and is really good at copy writing….
What Duplication really means
It means to get what your sponsor got. If they got the big package, get the big package. If they got all the products available, do the same, or at least as many as you can now and make it a goal to get the rest ASAP.
It means to go through all the training.
It means to blog daily.
It means to pick your one traffic generation and marketing tool and stick to it. Master it.
Duplicate Yourself
Ok, I admit, I have not done that yet. Oh, I am all in at Empower Network – of course! But I’m still trying to find my one traffic generation system. I do Skype. I do Youtube. I do Facebook. I do ping.fm. But I am learning I have to find my one and only because it’ll be easier. Just focus on that one way and I get done more. And it’s most probably time saving, too. And I can spend more time on my writing.
Just focus on getting one sale … per day.
Just focus on one.
Just focus.
