You certainly don’t want a fanpage on Facebook that looks like this:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/YourPageName/41983932023
You want it to look like this:
https://www.facebook.com/XarahsEmpowerPage
It’s called a Vanity URL or short URL.
This is how you do it:
Once your page is “LIKE”d 25 times, then you may go to:
http://www.Facebook.com/username
It’s possible though that you don’t need 25 likes anymore. It changes all the time.
Then select your page which you would like to have your vanity URL for.
Providing you have at least 25 “LIKE”rs, and you have not already selected a Vanity URL previously, then you will have a box where you can type your Vanity Name.
BE CAREFUL!
You may only select your Vanity ONCE!
Do not select an undesirable name. Do not spell it incorrectly unless that is what you are aiming for. You can ONLY DO THIS ONCE!
Type in your vanity URL (Less the http://www.Facebook.com/), in other words, only type the last part of the URL which becomes your unique page URL name.
Enjoy your new short link to your Facebook page!
