Or how to get a video viral…
… hoping no hater will see it
I’ve discovered awhile ago that I can share images and videos on Facebook. Ok, a long while ago. And once in a while I would share something, a video, a quote, an image.
Videos on Facebook
A few weeks ago together with my friend Steve Harris I discovered how to share a video or image on Facebook with my link. In other words when my Facebook friends (and theirs) share this video or images with my link on it, it gets spread much further than through my own efforts alone.
This is called going viral.
Having something go viral is the dream of any internet marketer.
Sharing on Facebook
Steve and I had fun finding fun and amazing videos, download them and upload them to our wall, add our link to it and then share it in a bunch of FB groups.
We would also share each others stuff. And share tips we discover.
We wanted to spread some fun and if somebody would click on our link and find it useful or interesting… even better. Right? Wrong.
Yesterday I noticed one and then when looking more closely several of my videos had disapeared.
Facebook deletes videos
Further investigation showed that ALL the videos with the share url (www.xarahrecommends.com/2share) got deleted. All the other videos where I occasionally added a blog link (thinking to get some traffic to my blog and my a comment or two) or to my FB fanpage are still here.
Message from Facebook
Today when I got on FB I got a pop up window with this message:

This is the video:
Actually, the date they mention above is wrong. I had uploaded it days before, then after it had disapeared, I uploaded it yesterday again, this time I think I linked it to my fanpage.
Why did this video got deleted?
So, what happened? Copyright? I don’t think so. Lots of other people are sharing this video. And other videos.
Doing a quick search I even found somebody who uploaded the 10’000 iphone video to their Youtube channel.
I think somebody is plain and simply jelous.
I for now take it as a message from the Universe.
Facebook = time stealer?
Facebook can be a real time stealer. I often spend hours on Facebook. It’s so damn distracting. There are so many awesome quotes, and videos to watch and even blog posts to read.
Maybe the Universe is telling me to get back to what I had planned to do and got distracted from doing and forget FB for a while.
I’ve been wanting to empty my inbox, I finally installed the new Email client. I’ve been wanting to work on my self. They say if you are vibrating at a higher level you will attract the right people and the right circumstances.
There is this video in the 15K Formular, the first one, I have been wanting to listen to for a couple of days now.
Taking a break
So, Facebook, I’m taking a break now from you. Oh, I will go in there once or twice a day to check my messages and to check my groups but that’s about it for the moment.
Besides this whole thing made a great blog post, don’t you think so?
If enjoyed today’s post please ‘like & share’ this page so someone else can benefit from it!
