Empower Network Denver Don’t Be A Wussy! Event…enV2 Revealed!
Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.
Breakthroughs in entrepreneurship always come from being front and center at events like Empower Network’s Don’t Be A Wussy! event in Denver, Colorado from July 19th-21st. They allow us to escape from the digital world for a while, even though our cameras, tablets, and phones remain close at hand – ready to capture that next video clip or epic photo.
For me, it was also a chance to visit with four people on my own team who I am incredibly proud of for going all-out to attend: Jim McGivern, Michael Keesler, Jim Asaro, and Jordan Fournier. I have no doubt this event inspired them to break new ground in their businesses. It sure did for me.
When people like Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe burst onto the stage, wearing superhero costumes and overtly bulbous looking athletic cups, you know things are about to get a little wild and crazy. Repeatedly prompting the audience to yell out sayings like “that’s dirty” and “but wait..there’s more” to poke fun at their own schemy marketing tactics, perfectly characterizes the true culture of Empower Network.
Empower Network Denver Opening Scene
Just like the last event in Chicago, the special effects were grandiose…especially coming from a network marketing type of event. Empower has clearly raised the bar as far as entertainment is concerned in the Internet marketing industry. Gone are the days of wearing a suit and tie to a powerpoint presentation. Empower blows the doors off of these kinds of lame gigs. At Empower, you are free to just be yourself.
Video awards were given out to outstanding individuals who wowed the audience with new levels of creativity, diplomas were handed out to high income achievers, and fancy diamond rings were put on the fingers of individuals who cranked out over a million dollars in sales!

The energy is always extreme at these events and the Daves excelled at keeping Empower fresh by dropping the bomb on their new blogging, social networking, and mobile broadcasting system that they spent several millions to create. Two years in the making, they are calling it enV2 and it is sure to capture the attention of people who are looking to take their online businesses to the next level.
enV2 Introduction by Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe
enV2 will make posting content infinitely easier than the older EN WordPress blogging platform ever could, while allowing you to have multiple unique blogs and domains attached to a single account. The mobile portion will allow you to access all sections of your account so you can blog from Google and Apple platforms easily and efficiently.
The blog is being completely redesigned from the ground up. The time to make a blog post will soon be considerably shorter, posts can be restricted to your own teams or can be made public. The attention that the new commenting system received caused the auditorium to erupt and begin chanting “screw you Facebook.”
About Empower Network 2.0
While I’m sure Facebook won’t exactly be quaking in their boots, EN members are clearly going to have an edge over other Internet marketers in the leverage department. The system should be up and running in full swing by August. If you have been on the sidelines watching EN and wait until after the new system goes live, you are about to wish you had joined before because EN is going to have an 8 day waiting period after the system goes live. During this time, no one will be able to join EN, though existing members will be able to get up-to-speed on the new system for themselves. The result will be a hype machine of majestic proportions…just the kind of “schemy” things that Dave and Dave are well known for doing.
But instead of having a single event, EN will do 4 total events starting in October. Events will be located in Anaheim, CA (right near Disneyland), Orlando, Florida (right near Disney World), Washington D.C., and Austin, TX. The Daves wanted events to be a bit more intimate…harking back to the days of Atlanta, the location of their first event, which had around 1500 attendees.
But none of the special effects, the glitz and the glam, or Dave Sharpe dressing up in a Steve Jobs outfit to announce enV2 could outshine the main message of the entire event – that being that if you want something badly enough, you need to be willing to do what it takes to get you to that place. You have to know exactly what you want, be willing to follow your mentor, remain consistent, and stay positive and focused in order to reach your goals.
My friend Felix Castro and I stood at the bottom of the steps to the stage, proud of our achievements and I know, one day soon, I will be wearing the red lanyard instead of the blue one (the red one signifies that you are in the top 200 of the affiliate contest leader board and is a milestone of achievement).
Seeing and hanging out with my friends again is exactly what I need to propel me forward and remind myself that I’m not alone in my quest for freedom so I can fulfill my dream to travel the world and work from a laptop.
