What Is Empowerville?

A while back, I started searching for a good Empower Network community. I was surprised to see that the few that I did come across, really didn’t have much going on.

I don’t know about you, but I think that Facebook is a terrible platform for archiving information, sharing insights, and collaborating. I actually started my own forum, exclusively for my team a while back (thebigideaforum.com). I spent quite a bit of time writing content and trying to get my team to use it, but it was a bit cumbersome and a lot of work for me. My forum didn’t take off the way I had anticipated and it was painfully difficult to get my people engaged with the material.

Again, I searched for Empower Network forums, communities…anything to allow me to collaborate with other EN members, but my search turned up empty.

I forget exactly how it happened now (which is how it usually happens huh?), but I was somehow introduced to Empowerville.com. The site looked appealing at first glance, so I entered it. When I got in, it was immediately apparent to me that the creator was creative and resourceful. I was met with interesting articles and more importantly, I was impressed by the amount of people who had already joined.

Apparently I had joined the site a little over a week since it went online. The people in there are friendly and you don’t get a feeling that it is just a place where people are rampantly marketing to each other. It feels safe. It’s also a great place to network.

When I was in Denver at the Don’t Be A Wussy! event, I came across a few people who had heard of Empowerville, but were confused about what it was and how they could use it.

Essentially, it is a social network of Empower Network members and possibly others who are thinking about joining Empower Network. The site is team independent, free, and open to anyone who is interested in learning unique marketing resources. The site hasn’t been around for a long time and yet a ton of people have already joined the site.

Empowerville roused the compliance department of Empower Network for some reason or another, but the site itself doesn’t appears to be nothing more than a community that is interested in sharing ideas and learning from each other.

The runs off of a WordPress plugin called bbPress. It’s pretty impressive. The layout is smooth and the admin has done a great job of setting the whole thing up.

If you are looking for some new resources or want to connect with some new Empower Network members and especially if you are thinking of joining EN, Empowerville is a good place to visit to network with people who are serious about their businesses.
