How does Curating Content help a Blog?

More and more bloggers have adopted curating content into their repertoire. Curating content is an effective blogging strategy for a number of reasons. This strategy can help broaden the exposure of your blog immensely. This will obviously result in an increased rate of traffic towards your page. This sounds great and all, but what exactly is curating content?

Curating Content? You Want Me to Do What??

Curating content is a blogging technique in which a blogger finds the best available information on a subject and shares it with their readers in a newspaper kind of style.

Use this technique with a current event, hot topic, industry news, debates or opposing opinions for a particular subject, or just a compilation of posts related to something interesting.

Sharing important and informative information can strengthen your blog’s reputation as a reliable resource.

Curating Content: The Fun and LAZY way to Blog

Curating content can also be a useful strategy if you haven’t written any new blog posts. We all know how important it is to consistently create new blog content.

Content creation and the marketing of that content is a vital contributor to success. But we all have those days that just don’t seem to have enough hours.

If you have a sizable blog following or you’re in the process of building one, it is even more important to get content out there as much as possible. So what do you do when you’re pressed for time? This is where curating content comes to bat.

Learning to properly and efficiently curate content can really be a big help on days that you don’t have any original content. Curating content is a great way to supplement your own blog content. The content you choose should be entertaining, informative, and accurate. It should also be related to the main subject of your blog.

Think of content curation as a way to provide top notch quality content to your followers that YOU don’t have to write! Finding and compiling quality information can be beneficial to your blog. Curating content

The Skill of Curating Content and Traffic Generation

Although curating content can be pretty simple, it is important to do so properly. Just copying and pasting the first piece of news you stumble upon probably isn’t good enough. If you’re aim is to curate content concerning November’s presidential election, do your best to find the most intriguing information possible.

Post excerpts of multiple interesting articles on your own blog and pair them with a relevant YouTube video or photos.  As long as credit is given where it’s due and backlinks to the original article are included in your content, curating content is encouraged by all parties. You will be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t want increased traffic!

Diversify Your Blog by Curating Content

It is important for anyone trying to run a successful blog to diversify their blogging and marketing strategy. It is pretty rare to find a successful blogger that only spends their time blogging. The skill of curating content is one way to diversify.

Curating Content for Empower Network Bloggers

Although curating content is pretty much the same for Empower Network bloggers as it is for any other blogger, there are a couple extra things to consider.

If you are an Empower Network blogger, odds are good that you got involved with Empower Network to grow your mlm company and make some extra cash on the side. Curating content can help you gain credibility in you industry,  increase traffic to your blog, help you get more leads, and create more sales.

The most important thing to be aware of is the type of information you are curating. If you are in a weightloss company and you want to make product sales or get more reps, curating content about your local 4×4 off road jamboree, is probably not a good match.

Think about the type of people who will buy the products you have and provide them with articles related to YOUR industry.  Curating content that includes a few good recipe articles on making low-fat meals, or 5 different articles on how to get rid of stubborn belly fat would be perfect.

If you want to know the best things to blog about, check out magazines in your industry and become aware of the types of articles each magazine provides.  Your blog should focus on curating content just like a magazine. The more focused your are, the more successful your blog will become.

Curating Content: Create Some Side Income

Want to make a little side income with your blog? Find products that you can earn a commission from that would benefit your followers. Then, find 5 -6 articles that tell the benefits and disadvantages of the product.

Include a few product pictures or a video and compile the info into one blog post with a ‘buy button’ using your affiliate link at the end of the post.

The goal of most bloggers is to generate income online. To do that, you must become a reliable source for information. If you are able to achieve this status, your blog will undoubtedly have a considerable following, you will get leads, and you will make more sales.

By adding curating content into your blogging strategy repertoire, you can strengthen your blog’s status as a reliable resource and gain the reputation needed to be seen as a trusted expert in your industry. Curating Content
