Today I want to do something a little different. I was on a conference call the other day, probably the most intense call I’ve been on. And the guy leading the call made some absolutely amazing points.
How To Have Success!
How to have success in anything: life, family, relationships, or business. I want to share with you what I took away from this call! I know this isn’t something I would regularly do, but I believe that when you take these principals and apply them to everything in life you can have success.
The first two steps I have already covered when I asked Where Are You Going?
These are two very important steps and if you haven’t read that post, please stop now and go read it HERE! It sets up a firm foundation which you will need to carry out the rest of the plan!
3 Steps To Have Success!
Step 1: Know Your Destination
I covered this in a lot of detail in an earlier post. But you have to define what success means to you.
Only when you know where you are going, can you map out a route to get you there!
Step 2: Write It Out
I also covered this in more detail in the post: Where Are You Going? Please if you have not already done so, go and read that post so we can build on that foundation!
Step 3: Take Massive Action
Now this is where I want to focus on the remainder of this post. And a little disclaimer: I said I believe these principals will work for you in all areas of life, and in order for that to be true these are mindset and attitude habits to get into to find success!
Believe Success Is Possible For You
This is an essential part of success. If you don’t believe it can happen, well guess what….It won’t. You have to understand that all these successful people you look at and up to are just normal people, like you and me, who have put these practices in their lives.
You can do it. I believe in you! And I know a whole lot of people who will get behind you and believe in you until you can believe in yourself!
To have success, you have to believe success is possible for you!
Act Like The Person You Want To Become
I’m sure you all have heard the saying, “Fake it until you make it,” right? Well, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m not talking about pretending to be something you’re not, but rather handling yourself the way the person you want to become would. Did that make sense?
Pretty much, knowing the habits “this person” would have in their life and putting them into yours NOW! But this is hard to do if you skipped steps 1 & 2. Making the Daily Disciplines (that we are talking about now) a part of your normal routine, right now. Not waiting until you have success, but right now.
NO GOING BACK!
I think this one should be pretty self explanatory. No going back. There is no Plan B! My only option is to make this work, no matter what.
To have this kind of mindset is very important to have success in any area of life. It’s not, “well I’m going to give it a shot and see what happens.” It’s, “here I go, I’m going to do this!”
Try not. Do or do not!! There is no try – Yoda
We have to make up our minds that we will succeed or die trying!
Choose to have Success today!
