Celebrate Freedom

Today is Independence Day here in the United States of America! A day when we celebrate our FREEDOM as a nation. A day to remember those who have fought and gave their lives for this freedom.

The traditional celebrations usually include cookouts with friends and family and fireworks! Everyone loves the fireworks.

Quick side note: Fireworks were actually created by China back in the 7th Century and has spread world wide. The very first celebration of Independence Day was in 1777, six years before Americans knew whether the new nation would survive the war; fireworks were a part of all festivities. (From Wikipedia)

True Freedom

I am very grateful to live in such an amazing country. One who can actually celebrate their freedom because of the men and women who have so selflessly laid their lives on the line to protect that freedom!

I would like to also take today to celebrate true and complete freedom. I am proud to say that I am free. In my own life free because someone laid their life down over 2000 years ago to ensure my (and your) freedom!

This man, whose name is Jesus, sacrificed his life so that I may be able to live a life of freedom. To live life to the fullest. Not bound by the chains of sin or anything that would separate me from God.

Sorry if I got a little preachy there, but I just want to celebrate my freedom. Not just that I live in a free nation, thanks to the men and women who have laid down their lives, but also that I live as a free man because Jesus laid his life down for me and you!

Financial and Time Freedom

Now let me talk about freedom in all areas of my life. I will be honest and say that I’m not quite their yet, but I am working very hard on having freedom in this part of my life.

I am working hard so that I will not be a slave of money! Where I have to work my life away just to earn barely enough to get by on. But rather I am working hard to ensure that I won’t have to work for someone else the rest of my life.

I believe that we should be free. Free to be able to spend the time with our families without having to get someone else’s permission.

I’m actually going to do something really strange here. I received an email from a friend and I want to share this email with you. So here it is:

Freedom.

It’s sad that so many people don’t even know what true freedom is…

They think that being someone else’s economic slave is “freedom”….

They think it’s “normal” and healthy to be stuck in a daily commute sitting on a freeway on the way to 2013′s Plantation…

They think it’s normal to have to beg (as an adult)
to have a day off to hangout with their kids…

They think it’s normal to have to depend on another person “TO ALLOW” them to take a lunch “break”… or a “sick day”….

They conform with society’s scam that they can’t vacation and relax and enjoy life and travel with their family or loved ones… but maybe just
1 little week in a whole year…

They think it’s “normal” to be always broke

All this…

Is considered “normal” and if you try to speak out they tell you to SHUT UP and be “realistic”…

Well you know what?

I’m glad that one day I became a MAN and when they told me that I turned the other cheek but only to respond with….

“SCREW YOU! I OWN MY OWN LIFE AND
I WILL LIVE A FREEDOM YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN!”

You stay broke and shackled…

I’m going to be FREE and I’m going to free others and you can’t stop me.

And I found a band of sisters and brothers who helped me do just that.

Call it “hype” I don’t care but how much is in your pocket right now?

Call it “hype” but I can give a rip… are you having those thoughts from inside your cage (cubicle)?

You can call it whatever you want…

I call it an invitation to LIVE MORE, to BE MORE and to SPEAK LOUD about it… so others with the ears to hear… can find us.
