If you grew up in the 80′s playing 8-bit Nintendo (NES) System… you’ll surely appreciate this… especially if you ever had to blow in the game-cartridge to “fix” it!  It’s really great to see that Google has a sense of humor like this.

This 8-bit Google Maps version is based on the “Dragon Warrior” game series (later changed to its Japanese counterpart’s “Dragon Quest” title).  I distinctly remember trying to kill that freakin’ dragon that was holding the princess hostage… *%&*$^!!

This was one of the coolest shoot-em-ups around!  It had 2 simultaneous players, both horizontal-scrolling and vertical-scrolling levels, plus a “3D” level or two, and epic bosses to fight which made this a “must have” in the late 80′s!

Nowadays, you can play most of your favorite Nintendo games on the Wii console.. so you don’t have to run out and by a NES system… but a  lot of people like to have the old one anyway just for the retro-factor involved – so if you can’t resist the idea of blowing in cartridges again and again… you can get your own NES system below!
