The True Story of empowerment

Today I want to tell you a true story of empowerment.
There are a lot of them actually…
… but this is the one I know for certain…
…..because my family and I are living this story…..
From rock bottom….
Drowning in medical bills. Drowning in debt. Drowning in stress. Drowning in life.
Scrambling for that right thing to bring us to the surface. Thinking that, life just happened and we had to deal with whatever came at us.
When we started with Empower Network, we thought we were just going to make some money on line to help supplement what we had.
We were so far off the mark it’s not even funny!
Now here we are. A few short months later. We have our own online business and we’re helping others to empower themselves! To pull themselves up out of the muck and start living their lives on purpose!
Our true story is that we were on the verge of bankruptcy. We were miserable. We actually pulled told our kids at one point that “Life isn’t fair. Get used to disappointment.”
If there was ever anything that we could take back…that would be it.
Think about it. If every day you were told things like:
“we can’t afford it”
“money doesn’t grow on trees”
“life isn’t fair, get used to it”
If every day you witnessed your parents reacting with resentment and jealousy of people who had more….
” How would it be if….”
“If only we could have that too…”
“What’s in it for me?”
What would you believe to be the truth about the world?
Now, consider this…
Consider how you would perceive life if you grew up in a family with an abundant mentality. Who appreciated everything they had whether it seemed to others to be a little or a lot.
A family who were truly happy for those who achieved their goals, because they understood that there is enough for everybody.
People who gave freely from their hearts, expecting nothing in return.
A family who chose gratitude over despair.
Those are the differences between a Negative Mental Attitude and a Positive Mental Attitude.
Now think about a world in which we all make the choice to live with a Positive Mental Attitude.
Because it is a choice.
It is a positive mindset that brings people up from seemingly nothing to greatness.
It is the difference between the child who grows up in absolute poverty and chaos and remains in poverty and chaos until the day he dies, and the child who grows up in poverty and chaos, makes the decision to change and gets a scholarship to an Ivy League School.
That wasn’t luck.
That was a decision….
….followed by determined and focused action.
This life is your true story and no one but you can decide the outcome and the absolute beauty of it is….it is never to late to choose a new path.
