Don’t forget to decompress.

Holy Moly it’s November! These last few months have flown by like nobody’s business!
Not sure about you all, but for us, November is insane!!!
We have 3 families, all of whom we celebrate Thanksgiving in it’s entirety.
I know that seems like a really weird thing to say, but for us there is no half-assed Thanksgiving with families 1, 2 and 3.
There is full blown Thanksgiving with families 1, 2 & 3. Which means we pretty much have only 1 weekend in November where we’re not being stuffed full of Thanksgiving dinner, watching football and playing in the snow.
It’s AWESOME!!!
And it also means crazy weekends and crazy weeks!
Dylan and I are absolutely committed to making it into the top 150 on the Empower Network leader board before we go to the Release your Inner Badass Event in January.
That means we are, pardon the expression, balls to the wall in our business. We get up and get after it before the kids wake up to get ready for school. When Little Man (our 2 year old nephew, whom I babysit during the day) is napping or playing by himself, I’m after it. As soon as Dylan get’s home from his day job, we’re after it.
This is on top of getting the girls ready for school in the morning. Doing homework, dinner, and bedtime routines and of course with the holiday season upon us…they’re out of school quite a bit which means constant insanity and chaos in the house .
And then we’re right back on it as soon as the kids are tucked in for the night.
We refuse anything but success and achieving our goals.
However, there must be balance. We have to decompress.
You see, the best part about what we do here at Empower Network, is that it is not only financially rewarding, but it’s just damn FUN!!!
It is damn fun and rewarding to share what you do and what you have with thousands and thousands of people and watch them get just as excited about their success as you are about your own.
But, like I said, there must be balance, and amidst all of the massive action, don’t forget about yourself.
Whether that means you spend a couple of hours, reading a good book, doing a craft project you’ve been wanting to do and most importantly, don’t forget to be nice to yourself and get some fresh air and exercise.
Personally, I have to be careful with the books and crafts or I get sucked in for hours and hours. I set a timer and when it goes off, I have to be really disciplined and make myself put it down or clean it up.
Give yourself 20 – 60 minutes each day to focus on doing something nice for your body and your mind.
You know that feeling of not having enough time to exercise? It feels awful! But just remember, you are in control of how you spend your time and it’s not going to do you any good if you spend hours spinning your wheels lamenting your current physical and mental state.
We have an assignment for you. This is an easy one!
Check out how Richard Branson, Anthony Robbins and any other of the greats. The people who really make their mark, spend their mornings. You will find that, with very few exceptions, they spend at least one hour each day on themselves.
My favorite way to decompress and get my head on straight for the day, is a minimum of 20 minutes of yoga.
