“Wealth flows to he who can give”

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Hello. In my relatively short time being involved in making money online, home business ownership and affiliate marketing, I have discovered a certain ‘truth’ that appears to be well verified by a number of examples that are self evident.

“Wealth flows to he who can give”.

I have chosen this phrase to sum-up the concept here that may be expressed in any number of different ways but that all amount to this basic concept.

Those people who seek desperately to ‘get money from the internet’ are very often greatly disappointed with their return of time and effort, and give up before they have actually generated or created anything of lasting value.

Others, somewhat wiser, realise that not only having something valuable to offer to the market, but beyond just a dollar value product actually create something far more valuable in the form of a realtionship with their customers and potential customers, such that a non-tangible but nevertheless very real value exists between the provider and the client.

In this short article I want to at least open the door to be able to view this concept, because, when it is truly understood, is the make/break of a great many endeavors of this type.

That extra something that people feel when they interact with, buy or use a certain product or service, which to them is just as real as the book, CD, artwork or whatever that they physically have in their hands.

What people might not realise is that they also buy a feeling. A feeling of success, or of belonging, or “connected to a greatness” or some abstract difficult to explain sense that is purveyed by the provider of the service or article.

This is a very important part of ‘branding’ as it might be labeled, and goes along also with the “look and feel” of the associated website. The website of the Royal Albert Hall has a distinctly different style and ‘aura’ to that of Iron Maiden for example.

Note however that people who buy into these concepts do so because of what they feel associating with them.

It is a very worthwhile exercise to recognise what you feel when you have bought or connected with certain companies, associations or “philosophies of life” (for want of a better wording).

We are of course here looking at this from the perspective of marketing and attracting customers to our offer.

We would not offer our product or service to a middle-aged businessman in the same way that we would to a young single mother for example, though we may have a product or service that could be offered to both.

If this were the case we would need to run two different campaigns.

If we were “just trying to sell to everyone” we are in fact selling to no-one, and if you aren’t selling much perhaps this is part of the reason.

This is covered in great detail under the subject of a “targeted audience”.

If you can give to your prospects the idea that they will receive a product or service that solves a problem, or that just makes them feel good for some reason, you can sell.

If you can give something more than just a basic product, you’ll collect your share of the market.

If your selling solutions to marketing problems, why would someone buy your solution rather than any of the others out there? If you look carefully over what your product or service provides and what else your customer gets in addition, that might not necessarily have a dollar value, then you can win over a certain client group in this manner.

Work out what you give to the marketplace and promote that, so your offer has it’s uniqueness, and be proud to present THAT uniqueness to your prospects.

Remember, many people buy from Mr A rather than Mr B, just because there’s “something that they like about them”

Give your uniqueness to the marketplace and may the wealth flow to you.

Flourish and prosper!

I appreciate your attention and I hope that I have been of assistance and value to you.
