Living From Heaven To Earth

Such a strange title for a blog, I know. But I want to learn this better for my self. How to live from Heaven to earth.

This sounds like a matter of perspective, doesn’t it? Exactly. What do we do the best? We live in the here and now! So if we are here and now, seems that our perspective is limited by only what we see with our own eyes.

Living From Heaven To Earth

But what if it were possible to live from a different perspective? Think of it this way, where can you see the best. on the plain or on the mountain? If you stand on the top of a mountain, can’t you see so much more than when standing in a valley? Its all about perspective!

Try this simple exercise. Close your eyes, and imagine yourself the perfect you that you can be. What would you look like? What would you be doing? Would you be fit and healthy? Would you be doing whatever is your passion? You certainly wouldn’t be  unhealthy, working at what you dislike, would you? And what about the clothes that you would wear? And that hairstyle that you always wanted? Hey, while you are imagining the perfect you, why not also get your emotions involved, how do you feel emotionally? Happy? Excited to be alive?

Living From Heaven To Earth

Now, lets change it up a little. Close your eyes and imagine yourself the person that God says you are. What would you look like? You would be peaceful, no stress. You would be perfectly healthy, no sickness in any part of your body! You would be kind, compassionate, and loving! You would know who you are, so anything that doesn’t look like you doesn’t bother you.

You probably won’t hear this preached from a pulpit, but if it were, I think it would help people. In the business that I’m in, we are taught to imagine ourselves as we believe we are supposed to be, then act like it.

Reflected in our lives, we know that Christ died for our sins, so we are forgiven. So then what do we do if we are tempted to do wrong things? We don’t do wrong, because that isn’t who we are! We know we are healed, so what do we do if sickness comes? We don’t accept it, because we are healed! What do we do when people say hateful or spiteful things toward us? We forgive, because that is who were are!

Living From Heaven To Earth

We are all more than who we are right now. I remember hearing a man several years ago, his name is Bishop Joseph Garlington, say this, “I see you in the future and you look much better than you do right now!” If we could see ourselves in the future, and see ourselves exactly the way God sees us, we would be impressed!

Lets try to do this exercise more often. Think about who you are supposed to be. Take your time, leave nothing out. How do you look? How do you act? And most importantly, how do you feel? Now, what do you do when you are who you are?

Conclusion? Be! Be who you know you are! Live the way you are supposed to live! Live from Heaven to earth, and not the other way around!

  1. For sure our perspective is how we view our surroundings and to view them using your exercise you suggested would no doubt give us a glimpse in a new way of living.
