Blog Audience
There are so many avenues that can be taken when it comes to increasing the size of your blog audience, and the quality of your blog overall. That is why this topic is broken up into 4 parts. You can go back to the first post from here, or navigate between all 4 at the bottom of this page. They all have unique tips to help take your blog to its optimum potential. I am using many of the tips myself, however some of them I have learned from research, and haven’t had the chance to put into practice yet. It’s up to you decide which of these number of tips you’d like to implement.
Give the People What They Want
If you ever need content to blog about then why not ask your blog audience what they would like to read about? A survey is the perfect way to do this. Once you receive the results from the survey this can inspire you to do a number of things. You may decide to do a blog post about the topic your blog audience is interested in. Or this may inspire you to start a little discussion about the topic on your particular blog site. There are various possibilities when you know what your blog audience is looking for, and surveys are a great way to achieve that.
Utilizing sites such as PollDaddy and SurveyMonkey can be an efficient method to survey your blog audience. Experiment with a few surveys to see which ones yield quality results.
Leverage Popular Conversation
When it comes to the internet, blogging is its own little world. That’s why you’ll hear some bloggers say ‘blogosphere’ because blogging is universal. Keeping this in mind, you can indulge yourself in a variety of blog niches for more traffic and to connect with a widespread blog audience. Even though you’re blog may be centered around a specific niche, you can tap into other niches and create a connection from their niche to yours.
I was looking at a post earlier where Rand Fishkin, a staff member on the popular blog SEOmoz, was discussing how he tested this tactic, and it gave him a back link from a very popular blog. He found a blog by Fred Wilson on AVC.com about marketing in which he publicly disagreed with the point that Fred Wilson’s post was making. Wilson then created another blog post, in direct response to Rand Fishkin, and also back linked to Fishkin’s blog post.
This means that Fishkin now has a link on a very popular blog, in turn bringing traffic back to his blog, and he also gave value to the conversation, which recognizes him as a respectable source of information. And it also gives a link back to Fred Wilson too, because Rand Fishkin linked back to Wilson’s post that he disagreed with. Basically this method rewards everyone with a larger blog audience.
Integrate Your Blog Into Other Content
Majority of you have several profiles on various different websites. For example Youtube, Facebook, Vimeo, Twitter. A great way to utilize these profiles is to put the URL of your blog on these profile pages. When someone visits your profile and wants to know more about you, they can click the link to your blog. This may gain you a new loyal fan, more shares, or both.
You can also reference your blog in content like videos and powerpoints. You can have the link to your blog appear in the beginning and end of a video, along with putting your link in the description of that video. You can put a watermark of your blog URL in a powerpoint presentation. Utilize all of your resources, and make your blog an extension of yourself. When someone sees your content, your blog should be somewhere near by.
You May Want to Hear This….
Probably the most important thing that I believe all bloggers should know is to not give up. Building traffic for that blog, and then receiving results for that blog can and will take time. And any blogger that is successful now will surely attest to that. It takes some bloggers at the very least 5 or 6 months to really develop a blog audience, and start seeing the visits roll in consistently. And then it takes some bloggers 2 years of hard work and dedication before they get their big break. And we’re talking working on your blog every single day people. However the point is, to not give up, and if you’re serious you won’t.
I Have a Gift for You!!!
I’m sure you remember how in that last paragraph I talked about how it can take you so much time, blogging everyday…..for months…..or years….. to really see results. And this is after that blogger has paid hundreds of dollars to set up their blog, if they really want it to look unique and high quality. Well what if I told you that you could blog and get results a lot faster, I mean A LOT faster. Would you take that opportunity? Would you take the opportunity to get a blog that already has a professional design(saving you hundreds)? How much would that be worth to you? And if you could, would you like to start getting consistent results with your blog, in half the time that I talked about before, or less? If so, then click the picture below.
