How to Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
In this video, business partner (and six-figures-a-month earner) Mike Hobbs will provide an over-the-shoulder view as he uses social media sites as the first step in syndicating his blog.
A Review of How to Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
1. Tapping into Social Media is an important step in syndicating your blog. Those that don’t have a social media following should consider building one. Those that have a social media following already should continue to build a following and harness the power that comes through sharing great blog content on social media sites.
2. Social Media Bar is an effective tool to use to make our content social media friendly. It provides a polished look by providing a thumbnail photo and custom description. Social Media Bar also makes posting to Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Facebook, simple and easy. (Social Media Bar is a great work-around tool if a social media network blocks the url from your blogging platform.)
3. Don’t forget to save the url link that you created in Social Media Bar to a spreadsheet or word document. (This information is not retrievable through the Social Media Bar website if you want to reference it later.)
4. Don’t overlook the power of Google Plus. There is additional training available through the Prosperity Team on using Google Plus. Your content will appear on the first page of a Google search for anyone that is in one of your Google Plus circles! Powerful!
5. Don’t forget to “pin it.” Pinterest has quickly become the third most visited social media networking site in the United States. (Depending on what I am looking for, I sometimes begin my search in Pinterest before I Google it!)
6. Outsource this task if you aren’t willing to do it yourself. It’s THAT important. Do it daily.
