4 Essential Elements in Your Internet Entrepreneur Video
Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.
As an Internet Entrepreneur you have to become good at different kinds of marketing tactics. Video marketing is a really important one. People love to watch videos, and YouTube is the second largest search engine. Those are reasons enough to do video marketing.
There are lots of ways to do videos, and many purposes for them, but I wanted to share with you some tips on what you need to do to get attention, and attract people to your offer.
What are the 4 Essential Video Elements?
You don’t have to make a feature length film here. Just be yourself, and keep it under 2 minutes. Here are the 4 things/actions each video should include:
1. Break State
That simply means break the current state of your visitor. Get them to look away from what they are doing, or what else they are looking at. You can do that by being provocative, funny, or entertaining.
You can also start by saying something compelling. So many people start with something boring, like “I can show you a great system”, or “The company has been around for ten years.”
I’d click away, wouldn’t you?
Just a little more on this because if you’re an internet entrepreneur, you have to catch people’s attention. If you don’t get people to stop what they’re doing, if you don’t get them into your video, you’ll never get them to your call to action.
2. Story and Reason
Why should someone listen to you? Can your audience relate to your story?
3. Value
You have to show some kind of value of why the video is there.
4. Call to Action
People won’t act unless you tell them exactly what to do.
I quickly shot this video yesterday to show an example of what I’m talking about. It was fun, short, and hopefully something that people could relate to.
Breakdown the Internet Entrepreneur Video
So, let’s look at how I included all 4 elements in the video.
1. Break State
I opened with a compelling line that should hit a corporate worker’s pain and frustration with having a corporate job.
2. Story and Reason
The story is about me working from home and that I obviously enjoy it. The reason for the video is to show someone that there is an alternative to having a corporate job
3. Value
I explained that I could introduce the viewer to a community that could help them learn how to be an entrepreneur. I’m offering a solution to their painful existence.
4. Call to Action
I told them to click on the link, or click on the ads.
And, I did it all in just over one minute. Short and sweet.
Internet Entrepreneur Goes Hollywood
This video was done to show how to use these four points. If I was going to use it for an actually campaign, I might fix the lighting, or be very specific with my story or value.
But you get the idea. Right?
Once you get better at video, your production values will improve, your scripting will improve, and your conversions will improve.
Remember, video is a very powerful marketing tool. Start incorporating it into your marketing mix today.
