How can you create a ‘Sting’ in the market place with your home-based business? Create a communications plan using a promotional cycle. That’s how.
With the lists you’ve already captured, you need to continue to nurture your relationship with those leads while you are trying to sell them your stuff.
I’m sharing a concept here, that will help you to build trust amongst your followers. And, consequently it will increase your conversions and sales.
What is a Promotional Cycle for Home Based Business
When you send emails to your leads, or write autoresponders, you can’t always be doing a hard sell. You are not a used car salesman.
People will get sick of it and ditch you. They’ll unsubscribe.
You need to also provide value. By providing training, tips, or insightful information, people will stay connected, and start to trust you. If people trust you, they’ll buy from you. If you keep providing value, they’ll buy from you over and over again.
But, you can’t just provide value and not sell anything. You have to do both. You have to provide value, and you have to try to sell your stuff.
Think of the promotional cycle as a clock – just as an visual representation. Don’t do the following on the hour
At 12:00 Start with a hard sell. They’ve opted in to your list because they were interested in buying something. Start there.
But then you have to change it up. You can’t be in their face all the time.
At 1:00 and 2:00 Provide some value – a lesson, some secret tips for home based business
At 3:00 Slam them with a hard sell
At 4:00 and 5:00 – Send more value
At 6:00 – Shoot out a short burst of direct promotion
At 7:00 and 8:00 – Share your value again – they’re really starting to love you
At 9:00 – Sell it like you mean it!
At 10:00 and 11:00 – Be the person they look for to provide value
This cycle of combining a hard and soft sell approach could be done over a 30 day period.
Get Your Home Based Business On The Cycle
Okay, so I’ve told you to provide value on more occasions than just always throwing a hard ball at your lead’s head. But, even in your ‘value’ communications, you need to provide a link so they can go buy something if they want to.
And, communications length should be changed up as well. Your copywriting should be engaging, and interesting, but you don’t need to write a novel each time. Sometimes you can entice people to click with just a few short sentences.
You’ve got a list or maybe many lists. You have to keep connected with the people on those lists by communicating with them regularly. That’s the only way to build a relationship…and to sell your stuff.
Now start building that communications plan based on the promotional cycle of mixing direct selling and value. Then, hit your lists!
