Ever wonder how some of these internet marketers, online small businesses and entrepreneurs are making huge profits on a daily basis?
Were you aware that blogging for profit even exists?
Great News! I’m about to share with you the 27 tips to pumping up that blogging muscle for greater success. Apply these tips to start generating more leads, making more sales and earning more income.
Why A Business Blog?
Good question…and so many people still today are asking that. Why a business blog…. Did you know that a blog is simply a website except it has far more abilities to connect, engage with your target audience and market your business?
At a recent event I learned that over 80% of all online marketers, small businesses and entrepreneurs use a blog.
About 50% percent of those marketers or businesses blog daily… and blogging daily is producing a higher percentage of sales and ROI rather than businesses or marketers that only blog monthly.
This is powerful information that can start turning your online business into a …. profit generating machine once you start pumping up that blogging muscle.
27 Tips to Pump Up Your Blogging Muscle For Bigger Profits!
1 – Business Blog for Profit …far too many new marketers or online business owners want to start with the ‘free’ blogging platforms. Don’t do it! Instead, set up a self hosted domain blog. It will not only be more professional so people know you are in a business and not a hobby, but will give you the platform to promote and market your business, products or services. So start out the right way…get the right blog!
2- Leverage Your Brand or Image …decide if you are a business, marketer or professional wanting to brand your company or brand yourself. Self-employed business owners may consider leveraging to build your brand, but professionals, marketers and entrepreneurs may consider leverage to build you, your image as people will connect to you on a more personal level.
3 – Who Is Your Audience …don’t guess, but instead do some research on the perfect customer for your online business or profession. Take some survey’s or ask questions on social media is a great way to start gathering valuable information in determining your target market.
4 – What’s The Niche …you have to know what niche or market you are in. Your products and programs will certainly represent the niche you will be focusing in on. For example, cooking, traveling, interior design, online marketing are all examples of niches.
5- Story Telling …jump start right out of the gate by getting personal with your audience. Let them know your story in bite size amounts. You can do this by incorporating a little bit about you in each blog post.
6 – Pull In The Passion …keep your blogging content interesting and engaging by pulling in your passion. When you write and share information that you are passionate about, people can feel that through your words. So go for it!
7 – Vision Matters …before getting started, be sure you understand where you are going, what is your vision as this will help you to maintain consistency in your content when blogging.
8 – Say It With Images …we are visual beings and adding eye popping, attention getting images into your content is key. Make sure the images are large enough and of high resolution. Crisp, sharp pictures are what will attract your audience.
9 – Video Is A Must …too many new marketers or business owners are not comfortable making videos. If you want to see bigger profits, then you must get out of your comfort zone and start making videos. Start with you smartphone and take a 1 minute video. Each one you do will get easier and more fun!
10 – Header Message …go check out other popular blogs to see what their tag line is or the header message. What kinds of images do they use, verbiage and other ideas that will spark your creativity. Keep it interesting and informative at the same time.
11 – Tagline …you may have heard of this term or not. Every blog platform will have a field you fill in called; tagline. This is an area to put in a very short message that represents your site. Don’t dwell on this too much, but everything you do should be consistent with your blog theme and message.
12 – Using Colors …since we all love visual images, we also love color! Even black and white images catches our eye and of course bold, bright colors do as well. Key is not to be so bold that it is distracting to your reader, you want them to return right?
13 – Blog Themes …there are tons of blog themes and you can also customize your own theme as well. Being consistent to your branding and message will be a factor in determining the theme you choose. So choose wisely!
14 – Creating Content …this probably is the most important thing on your blog. If you took everything else away, it is the ‘content’ that pulls in the eye balls, holds people’s attention and hopefully gets them coming back time and time again! Blog daily if you want to see your profits soar.
15 – Keywords Are Key! …before you write that blog post, consider the specific topic you are going to share. Find a keyword that represents that content and sprinkle it in every 100 words or so. Utilize google keyword planner or other keyword finders to help you save time.
16 – Categories/Tags …this is probably the most misunderstood part of a blog. Categories and tags helps your visitors to your blog to be able to search for specific information that may be looking for. No need to use a zillion tags as the search engines no longer really rank for those, they are more for the convenience of your reader.
17 – Call To Action …this is a biggie! And generally most new marketers and small business owners will always forget to ask people to buy or to click a link or to get onto their email list. If you want to pump up your blogging muscle then get used to adding a call to action in every blog post.
18 – Blog Pages …this is a great way to create other interesting areas your visitors and readers can check out besides your blog posts. Use pages to set up an About page that shares information about you, your company and also use pages to highlight certain things about your business, products or services.
19 – Banners Baby! …no need to buy expensive advertising. Put up some nice banners that link to your capture pages or sales videos. When you are blogging daily and pulling in that traffic, they will see these banners…and trust me, people love to click! So get some banners up on your blog site.
20 – Syndication Is Sharing …one of the biggest mistakes that new marketers or small business owners make about their blog site is not sharing it on the social media sites. Your blog doesn’t do that automatically. Share your content on social sites but also with your email list too.
21 – Comment For Sure …part of getting your audience to become a buying customer or new team member is to encourage your visitors to your blog to comment on your blog post. Once you start getting comments, be SURE you reply and provide substantial reply, not just …’nice post’ or ‘thanks’
22 – SEO …which stands for Search Engine Optimization is a way to get your content seen by the search engines, get you on first pages and to maintain that first page status. Using the Kalatu blogging platform has built in SEO on the platform, so if you don’t have the time or want to take months to learn about SEO…then just grab the Kalatu blog!

24 – Guest Blogging …once you have around 50 blog posts on your site you should consider asking other blog sites if they are looking for content and allow for guest blogging. It’s a great way to build more exposure and to pump up your blogging muscle!
25 – Opt-in Forms …now you don’t necessarily have to have popups or popins, but you certainly should have an opt-in form on your blog for people to ‘opt in’ either to your email list, to a sales video, capture page or to give away a report or pdf.
26 – Blogging Challenges …one of the best ways for new online marketers and small business owners to get going with blogging for profit, is to get into a blogging challenge. Here is one that I highly suggest and you can win prizes as well. The 21 Day Blogging Challenge
27 – Blogging Groups …want a quick and easy way to get even your first blog post seen? Join some blogging groups where you comment, like and share 3 to 5 blog posts, and then you add your blog post so others in the group will visit, comment and share. Pretty cool right?
Well that’s it….
Pretty much if you implement these tips, you will have a head start to really pump up that blogging muscle for greater success in your business. Whether you are new to internet marketing, new online professional or entrepreneur…blogging is going to be the very thing that will propel you and your business into getting your name and brand out to the masses.
Don’t forget that building your business blog for profit takes time.
Your positive energy and consistent use of your blog will determine the amount of results you will start seeing in a very short period of time.
Your business blog is the home hub where your audience gets to come and visit 24/7!
Treat your blog like a business and you will benefit with seeing more traffic, leads, sales and profits!
The biggest mistake most new online marketers, small business owners and entrepreneurs make is thinking you don’t need a blog for your business. That way of thinking is not being open to realizing how other highly successful people are making six and seven figures all while blogging as being the primary source for results and success.

Lynn,
These are some awesome blogging tips…in fact some of my favorite. From titles to syndication and list building to knowing your audience. May bloggers can take away so much value from these tips.
One of the biggest issues many bloggers face is the lack of a call to action. I’m so glad you highlighted this. The #1 call should be to join the list / newsletter. Building your list and communicating with your list often should be top priority for every marketer.
