Folks, obviously the income examples discussed are extraordinary. The income claims presented are not intended to serve as a guarantee of income. Instead, they're designed to give you an idea of what's possible. Success in this business requires leadership, hard work, and dedication. Since we want to help you make an informed decision, we've gone above and beyond with our income disclosure document.

If you want to see the average earnings, please visit the page at www.empowernetwork.com forward slash income.php. Can you hear me? Can you shout if you can hear me? You all right? Okay, cool.

I was standing at the back there, and I was thinking, I've got so much to say, and I'm ready for this. I'm pumped. I'm excited. People were saying, are you nervous? I was saying, no, no, no, not really.

I'm just so ready to inspire some people, teach some people, and I'm standing at the back, and my legs are starting to go like this. So I'm really nervous, but I'm going to hold it together. I'm tired. We're just going to rock out. What I'm going to do is, we've heard a lot of inspirational stories, and what I want to do is, because I'm a lot younger, I'm 21, so what I want to do is just very briefly tell you my story, because there's not much of a story.

I'm just a kid. I'm a young gun in the eyes of Tracy Walker. And then I just want to give some training, because that's something that keeps coming up with people saying, well, how have you been able to build a team of 600 people? How are you doing this at 21? How are you winning contests?

So I just want to be able to actually just show you what it is that I'm doing, and the bullet points are the best things I'm doing in my business that are helping me make money and further my business. So does that sound good? Okay, cool. So I'll quickly introduce myself. I don't know if it's on the screen there.

Who is John Pemberthy, this strapping young lad there? And yeah, so my name is John Pemberthy. I live in the UK, and do you know what? It's funny, because especially these events, because they're in the US, whenever I meet someone from the US, and they say, you know, hi, how are you doing, and we have a little conversation, meeting, and I say, yeah, I'm from the UK, and they say, oh, you must know Claire. And I think they assume that, because they think the UK is such a small place, and because it's so other to the US, they think I must know everyone that lives there.

And so sometimes they even try to rack their brains of someone that I might know, so they go, oh, you're from the UK, you must know, and I just go, look, I'm just going to stop you there, right? If it's a friend of a friend, if it's a family member, or your British aunt's doctor, I'm going to just cut you off. I'm probably not going to know them, all right? So I get that quite a lot. So I'm from the UK, and my story is quite simple.

I trained as a chef. I came out of school. I trained as a chef, because, you know, school said, yeah, someone else loves cooking right there. Yeah, you're trained as a chef, because they say that you come out of school, you've got to do something, you've got to do something with your life, and I enjoyed cooking. So I went into that, but it was long hours, and, you know, I was always free when my friends were working, and I was always working when they were free, so it was a really unsocial job, and I just knew there was something else for me.

And I've always been someone who's quite determined, actually, right? I think it's a mixture of impulsive and determined. I decide on something that I want, and I just go get it. So to give you a bit of a stupid example, have any of you, I don't know if you've got these in the US, but have you got these kind of breakfast places where they have everything already laid out? So you've got the beans, the bacon, the sausage, the egg, and you just pay for, what, six or eight items, and you just pick, and you put it on the plate, right?

Do you have that here? Okay, yeah, so I, as a kid, I still do, but as a kid, I used to absolutely love beans, baked beans. Oh my gosh, they were the best. I'm not even kidding, they were the best thing ever. And so we used to go to this breakfast place with my dad, and I remember the first time we went, I was really young, and he said, son, you can have six items from this breakfast place.

And I saw the beans, and I was like, oh, wow. And I said to him, six of anything. He went, six of anything. So I went up to the counter with my plate, and I said, six beans, please. And I actually did.

She scooped me up six portions of beans, and my dad had a breakfast, and I just had a big bowl of beans. And he never forgets that story, because my eyes were just flipping bulging. I just absolutely loved this big bowl of beans. So that was quite an irrelevant story, but I think it's hilarious, I want to tell it. But I've always been someone who likes to, I know what I want, and I just go get it.

So that's been my mentality. So I decided I wanted to build a business, and so I decided I was going to go get that. And so I worked as a chef, but I would come home late in the evening, and I would be slaving away. Like some people think that, you know, we live this, I can't remember who, someone spoke about it earlier on this week, I can't remember who it was, saying that, no, it's Paolo, where's Paolo? You're there, bro.

Paolo was saying that, you know, it looks like we don't work very much now, and to some extent we don't, but it's because we flipping worked our asses off in the beginning. I promise you, when I was working as a chef, I didn't get much sleep, because I was doing 12-hour shifts, and I was coming home and working for hours on the internet, into the early hours of the morning, every single day, trying to crack this code, buying the next product that was promising me riches, and you know, click this button and you're going to make millions, and it was just, you know, I got scammed many times. So yeah, if we could just get this next slide up. I've got a few slides, right, and I'm going to just kind of take us through them, but I think I've got way too many, so I might have to go quite quickly to fit this in, but I was literally failing at everything I tried. I was trying to build this business, and I was just failing at every single system I bought, and then suddenly, suddenly after failing at everything, right, I tried everything, and after failing at everything, I failed some more.

I really did. I failed some more. I just went from failure to failure, then finally, finally I became an expert. Finally I became an expert at failing. I literally was an expert at failing.

Every single product I bought, I would just fail. I wouldn't make any money, and I was thinking, what is going on? I'm following this step by step, but oh, I've just gone to the next slide, so we'll just roll with that. There are three things that you need and must know to be successful online, okay? There's three things in my opinion, and I'm going to walk you through them pretty quickly.

All right, number one is you need, excuse me, you need determination, okay? There's a difference between determination and a desire. That's why I've crossed this out here, because I remember when I first started, although I was quite passionate about what I wanted to do, I had a desire. I was like, I desire to make money online, and you have to get this, okay? If you've got a pad, take this down.

You have to get this. There's a difference, a big difference between a desire to make money online and a determination to make money online. A desire says, I'm looking at something, or I'm looking at someone or some kind of success and saying, I desire that. That would be nice to have in my life. A determination says, I'm going to do whatever it takes to get that in my life, okay?

That's what determination is. Yeah, let's clap that up. Let's clap that up. So that's the difference between desire and determination. You have to be determined in this business, or you won't make it, because desire isn't strong enough.

And I'm going to talk about that a little bit later on. So number two, you must know your why, okay? For me, my why, I'm quite heavily involved in my church. I'm a Christian, and I remember just seeing people who aren't as fortunate as other people or people that, you know, I follow the Bible's teachings, it says serve people, be servant-hearted, be generous. And I was thinking, do you know what?

I really want to make a lot of money so I can make an impact on people who, you know, aren't as fortunate as us. So that was my why that kicked me off, was I was, yeah. That was my why that kicked me off, was I wanted to make a lot of money so I could help other people and support my church and things like that. So you have to know your why, because your why is going to be your driving force to make this business work. I promise you, you've heard it all weekend, you have to know your why, and it has to be that one thing that absolutely drives you to make this work.

So you have to know your why. Number three is you must know it's possible, okay? All three of these are flipping fundamental. I'm not kidding around. You have to be determined.

You have to know your why, and you have to know it's possible, because a lot of people look up on stage and see, you know, the leaders and think that we're some superhuman marketers, and I get this a lot, okay? I get people saying to me, you know, John, well you've seen success in this business because you've got a big list, or you know, because you know how to drive traffic and things like this. And I'm saying you've completely got that wrong, because you're then saying that my success is because suddenly I've got a big list. Oh, I've got a big list, I'll make loads of money with it. But it wasn't like that, was it?

I had to start, and all the leaders had to start at the same place where you're at. We had to start at the bottom, and we had to work our way up, learning, falling, learning, falling, learning, falling, until we had a big list that we can make success from. So you have to know it's possible, and you have to know that there's nothing different. I'm going to get a bit of water. You have to know there's nothing different between, you know, the leaders up here, the successful marketers, and you guys.

It's just a case of being determined and having persistence. I'm getting parched. So you have to know it's possible. That's something that is absolutely key. So I'm going to move on, because what I want to do is, this is very important.

Have we got this slide up? Perfect. This is really important. There's no failure online, there's only giving up online. I just want you to think about that just for a second.

There's no failure online, there's only giving up online, right? You can't actually fail when wanting to build a business. This is something that so many of you need to hear. You need to hear this, that you can't fail. You can't fail.

Failure is quitting. That's what it is. So as long as you say to yourself, I'm never going to quit, and I'm always going to work this, I'm going to be determined until I see success in this, then you will not fail. You will not fail, because failure is quitting. So don't quit, and you'll win this thing.

So how have I done it? How have I done it? This is what people want to know, and this is what I want to teach. One of the things I love doing is I love training, I love teaching, and just inspiring people. So how have I done it?

How have I been able to have the success that I have had at 21 years old? I've been in Empower Network around about 9 months now, around about 9 or 10 months. I got in January of this year, and I didn't go to Austin, because I joined about a week or two before, and to be honest, I didn't believe in the company yet. I was just deciding to just have a little fiddle around and have a look around, and I really didn't believe in it, so I didn't come to Austin. So how have I been able to have the success that I have had in this short period of time?

And I'm going to go over two of those points. What are my traffic secrets, and how did I win the contest? What are my traffic secrets? Let's start with that. Really simply, this is a question that comes up a lot.

What are the traffic secrets? Do you want to know what the secret is? Do you want to know what the secret is to get in traffic? Okay, go get some, right? Go get some.

Lawrence knows, because this is something that comes up a lot. This is what I think, okay? This is what I think. The people that ask that question and say, you know, what are those traffic secrets? How can I get all that traffic?

I think they're the ones that have already watched a ton of training videos on how to get traffic, and they decided that they don't want to do what they've been taught in those ones, so they're trying to find an easier way, or they're trying to find something that will work. And the thing is that there's no shortage of training on getting traffic. You've got it in the 15K. You can flip and go onto YouTube, and you can find all the different traffic sources and get some training there. There's no shortage of the training, but I just think that people just keep asking that question, what's the traffic secret?

People will stop me in the hallway, what's your secret? What's your secret? And I say, I just decided I was going to go get some traffic. That's literally what I decided, and I was going to watch some training videos and apply. Watch some training videos and apply.

Take action. Okay? And then how did I win the contest? How did I win the contest? It's going to be a simple answer again, isn't it?

I just went and did it, right? I literally just went and did it, and it sounds so cliche, but I just took action. I spoke very briefly about it yesterday. I just took action, right? I didn't fluff around with keep correcting my autoresponder and trying to tweak my landing page and doing all this different stuff.

I just took action. It's really simple. Seriously, it's really simple. Okay? But I want to give you some of my golden nuggets.

This is what I was doing. So I've kind of briefly told you my story, right? Very briefly, but in the time I've got left, I just want to teach you some stuff that have really helped me in my business, right? This isn't a blueprint. This isn't a step-by-step do this and do this, but these are four things that have just changed my business, and these are the key things that have made me lots of money.

Okay? Oh, and by the way, I just want to tell you one thing before I forget, is that when you persist and when you have determination, you'll hit a point where it will just click. I promise you. I promise you. You'll be watching training videos on traffic, and you'll be trying to learn this thing, and I promise you, it'll just click.

A light bulb will go off. I'm a big snorer. No, sorry, not a snorer. I'm a bit of a sleepwalker, right? When I used to live back home with my parents, I don't anymore, but when I used to live with them, I used to do the craziest things in my sleep.

I used to kind of sleepwalk and sleeptalk, and one of the things I did was it was always I turned the light bulb on, and then I kind of realized that what I was imagining was just not right, but what I would do is I'd be half awake, half asleep, and then one night I woke up, and my wall, I pictured it as an elevator door, so I just sat on the end of my bed like this, and I was just looking at the elevator door, and I was just waiting for it to open, and when it opened, I just walked straight into the wall, and then I did that over and over again. I was getting really frustrated. I couldn't get in this elevator door, and I sat back down again, and it closed, and I was just waiting for it to open again, and it opened, and I walked into the wall again. I really hurt my nose. And then what happens when I do this kind of sleepwalking is then I go and turn the light on, and I'm just like, oh, before I do that, I just kind of stand there or sit there.

I'm just like, surely not now, actually. Surely not. There's not an elevator door anymore. And then I turn the light on, and everything becomes clear, and so that's something you can apply is that actually there's going to be a moment where that light bulb goes off when you're kind of, you're feathering around in the dark, and you're feeling like nothing's really going right, and you're walking into walls and hitting your nose, and there'll be a point where you'll turn that light on, or just a light bulb will go off in your head, and it'll all make sense. So there will become that point.

That's something I can promise you. There's no income guarantee, but I can promise you if you persist, you'll make this work, because there's no failure online. Four things, right? I'm running out of time. So four things is number one, list relationship.

Number two is video marketing. Number three, keyword traffic. And number four, reply to emails. Can we just get that up on the screen just real quick? I'm going to go to my next slide.

I'm just going to talk you through them real quick, okay? Number one, list relationship. What is it? It's having a relationship with your list, right? Nice and simply.

So that instead of just building a list, and then not really knowing who you are, and not really connecting, is that if you actually express yourself to your list, if you actually take good care of them, if you don't just pitch to them every day, but actually kind of give them some value, right? Who wants to know how often I mail my list? Who wants to know how often I mail my list, right? I mail my list maybe once a week, if that, and most of the time it's content. Most of the time it's content.

Ooh, that's country. Yeah. And it works for me, and it works for me, because I get the things I'm going to talk about now. I get trust. I get seen as an authority.

There's likeability, because they're thinking, oh, this guy's different. I get pitched to every day. Who realises that people on your list are on everyone else's list in the industry? So do you want to stand out, or do you want to just be pushed down to what the other people are doing and never get noticed? Right?

You have to stand out. Okay? It's this analogy, mum versus stranger. Right? If you're walking down the street and your mum says to you, no, sorry, and a stranger says to you, you know, there's this brand new product.

You've got to go buy it. You've got to go get it. And then you're kind of thinking, oh, yeah. And then your mum says, flip an X, son. You've got to go get this product.

It's really good. You're going to go, all right, yeah, okay. I'll get X. My mum recommended it. Right?

If you've got a relationship with your list, and they know you, like you, and trust you, when you recommend something, they're more likely to go, yeah, all right, I'll buy that, because he's recommending it, and I trust him, or she's recommending it, and I trust her. So it's really important. And you get better open rates, you get better click-through rates, and better conversions. It just happens. Right?

Sometimes I can send emails out to my list. Not all the time, especially with the new thing that Google have done with their email. But, you know, I can get sometimes 30 or 40% open rates on my emails, and that's going out to tens of thousands of people. Okay? So that's what I do with list relationship.

It's something big that I do in my business, in my marketing, is I have a good relationship with my list. And it means that I can produce big results from my list, because then when I do promote something, they open my emails. Right? That's the first thing. They click on the link in my email.

Right? And they buy what I'm promoting, because they trust me. Okay? Video marketing. This is a way that you can build that trust, authority, and likeability.

Someone asked the question, how, before we've seen success ourselves, how can we, you know, why would someone want to join our team? We're not an authority yet. We're not a leader yet. Well, I think Tony Rush said it, is that you have to be confident on your videos. If you come on camera all shy and go, you know, I want you to, you know, join this new business.

No, you have to go join this flipping business. There's this new Empower Network. People are destroying the game. We're the richest company in the industry. People are making money left, right, and center.

Look at Tony Rush. Look at Lawrence Town. There's a link below. Flipping click on it and join us. People are going to go, all right.

Yeah. So they're just going to piggyback on that confidence that you have, and you can piggyback on other people's stories as well. So piggyback before you have success. Piggyback on the success of others. Right?

And use that as your sales force. And then when you start seeing successes, like Vic Streisand says, focus on the little successes. You have a success. You have a $25 day. Hey guys, I can teach you how to actually make money in this company, because you can legitimately say that.

You see what I mean? It increases engagement. Okay? People, I mean, you might have some people here that just love reading, but for me, I'd much rather click on a website and just watch a video play, and I'll just sit back and have it all said to me, as opposed to scrolling, scrolling, and reading, and reading. And that's why, if you look on all these different sales videos that are coming out now, everything is video.

The entire industry is actually changing to video. And there's a reason, because it works. And you have to be yourself. Don't try and be perfect. Okay?

If you try and be perfect in your videos, this is a barrier that stopped me. I don't know if I've got time to tell a quick story. I think I will. There's a barrier that stopped me as I was a bit of a perfectionist. I wanted to get everything right in my videos, totally scripted.

And one day, I just decided to just go for it. And I did the stupidest video you've ever seen in your life. I can't remember whether I put it online or not. I've got it on my computer somewhere. But it was me promoting, get it, an anti-snoring device.

That was the first thing I promoted. And I had these videos. I was about 12 years old. I don't know, about 12. I was really young.

I had the camera pretty much on the floor looking up at me. So I'm kind of like a bear over this camera. I'm young, so I've got, I don't know, like Legos up on the top of my wardrobe. And I'm going, guys, if you want to learn to stop snoring, just click on the link. All right, bye.

And it was like something like that. It was the flipping most ridiculous thing I've ever done. But I was putting the videos out. And that's what set me apart is I wasn't a perfectionist anymore. I decided I'm going to change that.

I'm actually just going to keep working and chuck videos out regardless of whether they're good or bad. Rhonda was saying you're getting real estate. The more content you put out there, good or bad, people are hearing your name. People are seeing your stuff. That's a barrier for a lot of you is you're getting all this training and you're deciding I'm not going to do anything with it yet until I'm ready, right, until I can perfectly organize my copy, until I can perfectly.

script my video. And that's not how to do it. It's not how to do it. Just get your content online. That's key.

Keyword traffic. What do I mean? Keyword traffic, very briefly, if you're buying a solo ad, how is that person that person's mailing to on your Baha? Who doesn't know what a solo ad is? Okay, good.

We're pretty much there. So when you mail to a solo ad, those people are on that list for a reason. Because they already searched something in Google. Then they joined someone's list, joined other people's lists. And now they're in the industry, and they never search on Google again, because they're in these, you know, they're just on tons of people's lists, right?

So what I like to do is I take it right back, right? Take it right back to the beginning of when someone came online, and they searched for a key term, how to build a business online, and I pick them up, then I pick them up, then because they're fresh. They're fresh online, they're just searching for that stuff. They're not caught up in all these big marketers lists yet. You know, they're just starting out, and I catch them when they're fresh, and it means that you can completely tailor your promotion accordingly.

So if someone types in, if there's a keyword you're targeting, which is how to make money online for single moms, right? If there's a single mom in the house, you can do your video and say, hey, do you want to, are you a single mom looking to make money online? You got their attention, because that person's like, wow, that person on the screen knows exactly what I'm searching for, right? So if someone types in, how to build a business from home, I would start my video. Hey, it's Jon Pempthie here.

Are you looking to build a business from home? Whoa, he knows exactly what I'm looking for. I'll join his list and buy his products. It's the way it goes. So, have I missed anything there?

No. Cool. We're actually doing all right for time. Reply to emails. This is very, very basic.

I'm sure most of you would do this, but when you start building your list and your business starts growing, there's a real temptation to not reply to emails anymore, right? I've got about 40,000 people on my list. When I send out an email, I will get sometimes hundreds of replies just to that email. There's a real temptation not to reply, but I do, right? I spend, some I just physically can't reply to.

If it's a massive paragraph, I either, I just can't reply to it or, you know, I reply to as many as I can and it shows that you're personal. Some people just want to email you just to know that you're a real person. They just want to know that you're there and just getting a reply to you via email, that's enough for them to get in and that's what they bring is reassurance. Is this up on this yet? It brings reassurance.

And the last thing is they'll join. I got an email from a guy recently and he emailed me back and it was quite an aggressive email I sent out a promotion. I don't know what it was. And he emailed me back and he pretty much called me every name under the sun. He was saying, you're a scammer.

This empowerment works, you know, went right off on one. I just replied back. Sometimes I have a bit of fun. So I don't really, you know, I normally, sometimes I don't reply to negativity. I just kind of leave it, but I really enjoy having fun with them sometimes.

So I just replied back and I just said, that's cool. You know, we're making money and I'm sorry it wasn't for you or something like that. And then I just leave it. And I kid you not, I can't remember who this guy's name was, but he replied back and he went, Oh, you are there. All right.

Send me, send me a link. I want to join your business. Go figure, he actually did. So he actually did join my business as a result of just me just replying and showing that I'm personal and bringing him that reassurance that he wanted to hear. So okay, cool.

Here are some of my favorite quotes to leave you with. Okay. These are some that have really impacted me. Excuse me. And I'm going to have to skip through them pretty quickly.

First one. When you want to be, when you want success as badly as you, sorry, when you want to succeed as badly as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful. Desire versus determination. When you have a desire, you're not going to do everything it takes. You just won't.

When you're determined, when you're determined enough to succeed as badly as you want to breathe, think about that. Then you'll be successful. That's what determination is in this business. Winners never quit and quitters never win. I kind of covered this earlier, but it's so important, right?

If you're a winner, you will never quit and you'll succeed. If you're a quitter, you won't win because you'll fail. Failure is quitting. Big one. Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life how other people won't so you can live the rest of your life how other people can't.

Wow. Wow. How powerful is that sentence right there? We as marketers, we're going to live maybe even a couple of years of our life slaving away on the computer, trying everything we can to make this work, watching every training video, getting on every coaching call, getting on every Empower Hour call, doing everything we can, right? Living a couple of years of our life how other people won't because they won't do that.

Then we can live the rest of our life how myself and Paolo and Kevin and Lawrence are where we work just a few hours a day and we get to travel the world like you guys already are. You see what I mean? Okay. Last one. I put this one together because I wanted to get my name in there.

What? Just as I was thinking about my favorite quotes, I thought, you know what? I want to write one. So I came up with this because I love the word determined. You must be determined to succeed or your failure will be determined for you.

Who likes that? Yeah. You see what I mean? You must be determined to succeed or your failure will be determined for you. It's basically just sums up what I've been saying.

So I was going to check. I haven't got any more slides. I haven't. I'm done. Thank you so much for listening.

I really hope that was helpful. Thanks a lot. Folks, obviously the income examples discussed in this video are extraordinary. The income claims presented are not intended to serve as a guarantee of income. Instead, they're designed to give you an idea of what's possible.
