Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary, as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.
To see our full income disclosure, please visit our website at www.EmpowerNetwork.com forward slash income. All right, all right, all right. Everybody, can you hear me? If you can hear me, I need to know. So, leaders, anybody in the chat, please let me know that you can hear me.
If you can't hear me, this is Tracy Walker, and we are getting ready to get it cranked up for tonight's Empower Hour Call. So, please, guys, let me know. Give me a message. Okay, great. So, Tara says that she can hear me, and I'm so excited to be here.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I want to welcome each and every one of you to this evening's Empower Hour Call. We are here every single Monday night at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and whether you are joining us on the phone or whether or not you are tuning in via the web, we are very, very privileged and pleased to be here with you. You could have been anywhere in the world tonight, but you are here with us, and I want to guarantee you that this will be one of the best ways that you could spend a Monday night, every Monday night ever, so long as you are connected to us here at Empower Network. So, again, my name is Tracy Walker, and I do want to let you guys know that I have a very special guest host with me this evening.
Her name is Angela Carter Tyson. Yes, she is recently married, and imagine this, ladies and gentlemen, she met her husband through our team here at Empower Network, and so they recently got married, and she can tell you about that a little bit later. One of the bonus benefits to being part of an environment and a community such as this one, you find like-minded individuals with the same types of hearts and spirits and desires and goals and dreams and beliefs, and Angela has definitely been one of those shining stars. I was able to find her knight in shining armor. I'll let her tell you about that in a little bit, but guys, I do have something that I want to share with you, so what I'm going to ask that you do right at this moment is to shut down whatever it is that you are doing.
If you are watching TV at the same time that you are listening to the sound of my voice, just mute it for a moment, turn it all the way down. If you are on Facebook, I'm going to ask that you just close your window. I know it's hard to log out. I know it's super hard to log out. I get it.
You almost feel like you get a cramp in your hand if you try to log out. You are so addicted to in-the-moment information of when somebody hits that like button on your photo. I get it, right? I get it, but please just minimize your screen. If you are doing something else in the house like, you know, cooking or getting the kids ready or whatever, if you could just take two seconds, right?
I'm busy too. I'm a single mom. We'll talk about that. I'm busy, so I get it, but what I'm getting ready to share with you deserves your undivided attention. I'm going to share something with you that I really, really, really need you to understand before we even get going tonight.
Otherwise, you're going to miss the whole boat. You're going to miss the whole boat, and I am a firm believer that if we are going to be in each other's company, that we need to be rowing in the same direction. Otherwise, if we're going to be in the same boat, let's be rowing in the same direction, right? It doesn't do me any good to be rowing backwards and you're rowing, you know, forward because then that puts us in a circle, right? We're just going around in a circle, and people live life that way.
I want us to both be either rowing forward or both be rowing backwards, and so right now, I'm going to suggest that let's just row forward. I need your undivided attention for just maybe 30 seconds, a minute, undivided. Nature is an inexhaustible storehouse of riches. The supply will never run short. Original substance is alive with creative energy and is constantly producing more form.
When the supply of building material is exhausted, more will be produced. When the soil is exhausted so that foodstuffs and materials for clothing will no longer grow upon it, it will be renewed or more soil will be made. When all the gold and silver have been dug from the earth, if man is still in such a stage of social development that he needs gold and silver, more will produce, more will be produced from the formless. The formless stuff responds to the needs of man. It will not let him be without any good thing.
This is true of man collectively. A race as a whole is always abundantly rich, and if individuals are poor, it is because they do not follow the certain way of doing things which makes the individual man rich. Now, I hope you got that. And just so you know, that is a little excerpt from one of my favorite books. It's called The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D.
Wattles. And I'm going to read the last sentence to you one more time because we're going to set the stage for what we're going to talk about here tonight. Or the last two sentences so that I can tie it in. It says, the formless stuff responds to the needs of man. Some of us call the formless stuff the universe.
Some of us call the formless stuff God. Some of us call the formless stuff energy, infinite intelligence, whatever, right? The formless stuff, it's the unseen, it's the power, right? The formless stuff responds to the needs of man. The formless stuff responds to the needs of man.
It will not let him be without any good thing, any good thing. And here's the last sentence. This is true of man collectively. The race as a whole is always abundantly rich. And if individuals are poor, listen to me, and if individuals are poor, it is because they do not follow the certain way of doing things which makes the individual man rich.
Now, my name is Tracy Walker. I am very privileged and honored to have been asked to share this call this evening with Mrs. Angela Carter Tyson as we bring forth some information to you this evening that where my intent is to change you from the person that you are when we start this call into being someone even greater, even in the slightest bit by the time that we end this call in the next hour. That is my intent for you. So the things that come out of my mouth, the things that Angela is going to share as well, this is not, I have not rehearsed this.
I have not prepared this from the standpoint of word for word. I'm not going to read a speech to you. I'm not doing any of that. This is the empower hour call, right? I am going to stand in my empowered space and I am going to allow this formless stuff or universe or God or whatever you would like to refer to it as.
I'm going to allow it to speak through me and share some things with you that I think would help you to realize that we are more alike than we are different. We are more alike than we are different. Let me tell you a little story. Back in 2007, I got started in a network marketing company in January 2007. The reason I got started in that company is because I was running a real estate investment company that was previously very successful.
When I say successful, I mean financially very, very profitable. We were really good at that thing. We were really good at that thing. The universe paid us according to that skill level and our ability to churn in that area. In 2006 and 2007, everything just basically went down the tube.
We had so many deals in our pipeline that we could not close on any of these deals. Because we could not close on any of these deals, what happened is that my house that I built from the ground up went into foreclosure. Two out of my three cars went into repossession. We had to hide them in my garage all the time. If ever I went to the grocery store, I would always take somebody with me because I didn't want the repo man to get my car while I was at the grocery store.
I was living in Chicago. I'm originally from Chicago. I had to go down to the state of Illinois and apply for food stamps. I had to file bankruptcy once to try to postpone the sale date of my home and then file bankruptcy a second time because we actually had to file bankruptcy because we were living off of our credit cards and we were maxed out and there was just no way we were going to pay everything back. The creditors calling and the harassment and just the scare and the threat of the foreclosure and not really knowing when the sheriff was going to come at a certain extent.
All of this was going on. I needed to do something. I was already an entrepreneur. I was a successful entrepreneur whose business had failed to a certain extent and I had to do something else. For me, going back to corporate, which is what I did when I first graduated college, was not an option.
I am psychologically unemployable. I have been for a very long time and going back to punch a clock was not one of the options on my list. It just wasn't. When I was invited to take a look at this company at that time, I went with no preconceived notions. I had no idea about what other people had said about the industry or the processes or any of that.
It seemed like a very realistic thing that I could do provided somebody showed me how to do it the right way. It seemed like it was easier than my real estate business. I got started and I did that business for a year offline. In other words, I did three-way calls. I did home parties.
I traveled all around town. I drove around Chicago with snow up to my eyebags. I did presentations and home meetings with one person in the room. I did presentations and hotel meetings with hundreds of people in the room too. I don't want you to think that it's all bad because it wasn't.
Our team did really well at that time in that company. I did some presentations with hundreds of people in the hotel room. Then there were times I showed up and got to someone's house with one person. What happened was that I was getting burned out from that. After a year, which would make this now 2008, I turned to the internet to see if I could figure out a way to automate stuff and leverage myself.
If there were a way that I could do these presentations without having to be physically in someone's house, if I could share it with them on video or something. This is what was going on in my head and this is what brought me to the internet. I've got to find a way to do this stuff without running all around town. I can't do it. My house was still in foreclosure.
I was making decent money, but it wasn't enough to pull out my house. It wasn't enough to get the cars out of repossession all at the same time. It wasn't enough to do all of it. I was using that money to stack the money basically so that we could move out of the house, move back to Atlanta, and then take this large sum of money because our credit was shot. Take this large sum of money and find a place to live and hand it over to a landlord where we would literally pay for one year's worth of rent up front because then that would avoid a credit check.
They would still do background checks, which was fine, but we didn't want them to run our credit and then we'd have to pay monthly because our credit was bad. We figured we could just give the people $15,000, $20,000 up front. It shouldn't be a big deal. Who wouldn't take it? That's a whole other story about that.
People literally thought we were drug dealers. People would not rent to us. I didn't get it. I'm giving you the whole rent up front. How is that?
Anyway, listen, we'll get into that another day, another time. The point was I got on the internet in 2008 to figure all this stuff out. That is when I started going down what our good friend Mr. Aaron Raskin calls the rabbit hole. It's all this different stuff that you've got to learn.
You're like, what? Okay, there's a blog. Then there's a lead capture page. Then there's autoresponders. Then there's sales funnels.
Then there's sales pages. Then there's up sales. Then there's down sales. Then there's roundabout sales. Then there's blunt sales.
Then there's all these different sales that you've got going on. You look at it and you're like, what in the hell is this? I don't understand it. It's a completely different language. The jargon is far, far out of your scope of comprehension.
All you can do is sit back and say, oh, it's too much. Instantly, when our brain doesn't understand something because it's foreign, you instantly deem something as being overwhelming. I know I did. I was overwhelmed from all that stuff. I just sat back for a minute and had to take it all in.
Eventually, I started to figure stuff out. Eventually, I started to get the hang of it. You know why? Because I didn't have another choice. I told you, I wasn't going back to work at someone's job.
My real estate business was falling by the wayside. There was nothing that I could do and pick up on very quickly with a relatively low cost barrier to entry than having an internet business. That's what I did. I grinded it out. I slaved at it.
Night after night after night after night. Some days, 24 hours. I built my blog from scratch. I deleted some crap from a cold I didn't understand. I know what I was looking at.
I deleted something. I deleted my whole blog. I did that like three times. I deleted my whole blog like three times. This was after I had started figuring out how to generate maybe five leads a day or something like that.
I started generating leads. Then I had leads and then my blog disappeared. Now, I'm crying every night. I'm stressed out. I'm trying to contact WordPress.
There's no customer support. WordPress. You get all these people trying to chat on a line and explain stuff to you through text. It was the worst thing ever back then. Yet, I continued to go.
Why? Because I would do better continuing on the journey I was on facing forward than turning around running backwards towards what seemed to be comfortable to me but comfortable was not what I was after. What I was after was freedom. That's what I really wanted. To go back to everything else wouldn't help me get there.
It seemed like that would be better, but the truth is that it wasn't. I kept going. I kept going. Then one day, I bumped into this guy. His name is David Wood.
We bumped into each other on the system. He came out of nowhere. He skyrocketed to the number one person on the leaderboard at that time. I was on the leaderboard then already. He came out of nowhere.
We were trying to figure out who his sponsor was and who is this guy and where does he live and this and that. Then he did this webinar one night. All the leaders at the time were on this webinar because we wanted to really know, is he really the real deal? How is he shooting to the top of the leaderboard from underneath the ground? He came out of the abyss.
We have not. All we knew, he just dropped down from Pluto or something and started making these sales. We had never seen or heard of him before. We get on this webinar. The first night of this webinar, this guy makes $12,000 on that webinar.
That night. From selling some affiliate tool, like a spinner or article something, a tool. It wasn't a business. He was selling a tool. It's just a tool.
He made this money from selling this tool. I instantly got on this list. I instantly started trying to figure out what was going on. We ended up befriending one another and staying in contact. Come to find out the man was homeless.
He was living in a van and had borrowed the money to get a computer from his parents or something. It was this story that was like, what? What? What? What are you talking about?
Then I met him. We were filming a DVD at this time. We all flew out to LA. This had to be the beginning of 2010, I think. We all flew out to LA.
This was my first time ever seeing him and meeting him. He had on this tan button-down shirt. It was super big, like a dress shirt. Then he had these slacks on, these black slacks on. They were like dress slacks.
For those of you that know David Wood and you've been around him, you know that is not his swag at all. That is not his MO. He does not wear dress slacks. and with shiny church shoes and a button-down shirt. It's just not who he is at the core, but he had this on.
This is my first time meeting him, so I didn't know. And we did this video. We did this video together at that time, right? And in fact, that video is still up on YouTube right now. It's amazing, right?
That was 2010 and 2009, even. Maybe 2009, right? So this is when I met him, right? So we fast forward a little bit further, and I'm still doing my business, and he's doing his thing in his business, and everybody's doing their thing individually. And collectively, we'll come together in this system and work things out.
And then there was an opportunity where he decided, oh, there's an opportunity for him to do something different, right? And he had this idea, and that's a whole other story. But he had this idea for what we now know as Empower Network, brought it together, crafted it out, shared it with some people, shared it with me as well. I got started in 2011 when the company first launched, which was October the 31st, 2011. Now, I want you to understand that my results are not typical, and any of the stories that you hear tonight from people that have made money or earned money or anything like that, anything that you see on the internet or anything that comes from Empower Network where you are seeing success stories or testimonials from the real people here, these things are no guarantee that you are going to make any money.
But we do have to let you know that you can see our income disclosure at empowernetwork.com forward slash income. But those are my results. And if it had not been for this little online business that David Wood was blessed with, I would say, with the idea, and not only just the idea, but the wherewithal to act on it. Because some of you guys have great ideas, but you don't act on any of them. You're scared.
What's somebody going to think? What's somebody going to do? You say, oh, I don't have the money. I don't have resources. I don't have this.
I don't have that. And you start talking yourself out of it. But how grateful I am that David didn't do that. Because this company changed my life in a matter of 27 months. And I will forever be grateful.
Now, I want to also share with you a story really fast that it was one of the events. I believe it may have been the Las Vegas event last year. And I told a story from stage. I told a story from stage where I had a near-death experience. It's a true story, a near-death experience.
Literally, I was hemorrhaging to death. And I did not know it. I mean, I knew I was hemorrhaging, but I didn't know I was hemorrhaging to death. Put it like that. And I had to have a blood test.
Found out that my hemoglobin was at a 5. And I guess a normal person's hemoglobin is like 13, 14, 15, something like that. So basically, I was done. Didn't know it, though. And so was rushed to the emergency room at the hospital and had to have an emergency surgery in which I could not have any anesthesia because you need blood in your body for anesthesia, of which I had none.
So I was fully awake, coherent, had a full surgery, felt everything. And literally, it was the worst day of my life. Or was it? I don't know. Maybe it was the best day of my life.
Because at that moment in time is when I decided that I would no longer squander time. I would no longer squander money. I would no longer squander my life and my guilt and the things that I had been blessed with because I really felt like that was it for me. That's how I felt. And I told this story from stage.
And there was a woman in the hallway. When I got off the stage, I came down, I gave the mic, I gave the production staff my mic, and I went out the side door, out into the hallway to kind of decompress, and there was a woman. She was sitting on the floor. And at these events, people sit on the floor, people sit, you know, on those windowsills. They sit in chairs, they lay down, they do whatever they have to do, right?
And she was crying and she saw me come out. And she jumped up and she was in tears. And she gave me a hug, right? And so I didn't know it but me, this is family, right? So instantly I returned the embrace, right?
And I said, well, wait a minute, so what's wrong? What's wrong, what's going on? And she goes, no, no, nothing's wrong, I said, well, why are you crying? What's wrong? And she says, I just want to thank you.
I said, for what, what did I do, what's going on? She goes, I wanna thank you for being so transparent because I've had a similar experience where I nearly lost my life and it was a very, very terrible time. And I've always been afraid to tell it. I've never wanted to let people know that I had this experience because I thought it would deem me as wanting sympathy or people would think that I was needy or people would think that I just want something from them so I was telling this story trying to manipulate them. And for you to tell your story, you made me realize that I can be free to tell my truth and I can tell my truth with an understanding that no, it is not my intent to take or hurt or harm anyone.
I'm telling my truth to help, to inspire, to uplift someone the way that you just did me. Now, that may not have been word for word but that was the gist of the conversation. Next thing I knew, I was in tears, right? So now she and I are both in tears, right? We hug again and I had to run, I had to go to the bathroom so bad, I had to pee so bad.
And I said, oh my goodness, but now I'm in tears and now this lady's in tears but what kind of smiling at this point? I'm like, oh, listen, sweetheart, let me tell you, listen, please, I promise if I could just go pee, if you just let me go pee, I promise I will come back. I will come back and we will chat and we will talk before the general session is out because I care, right? But if I don't go to the bathroom, it's gonna be bad, it's gonna be all bad, I promise you, I will be back. So me telling this story allowed someone else to break free, right, allowed someone else to break free.
Now, with building this business, I met a woman back in 2010, right? This is like two years of me being on the internet. I met another woman back in 2010 and she still serves as a mentor to me to this day. When she was building her network marketing company, she literally was making like 100 grand a month for a very long time, a very long time, right? Like 10 years or something, something nuts like that.
And at this time, she lived on the Pacific Ocean, she lived in San Diego, she had a beautiful home and me and my team at that time, she invited some of us over to her house, we were at an event in San Diego and I asked her, I said, listen, I said, what is the secret to like this business? Like, you know, what is it that people need to do, right? In order to just really, really experience life-changing miracles and, you know, income and this increase, right, this increase in life, this advancement in life. What is it that people need to do? And this is what she said to me.
She said, Tracy, I'm gonna tell you this. She said, it doesn't matter whether you're on the internet, it doesn't matter whether you're off the internet because she was not an internet person. She built her business belly to belly, doing things the traditional way for 20 years. But here's what she told me. She said, what you should focus on is getting at least 100 people, 100 of your team members to your next company event, whatever that company is, whatever that event is.
She said, when you get 100 people from your organization to attend, in the flesh, the company event, your life will change. 100 people is what she told me. Now, this is before Power Network started. This was 2010, right? Power Network started October 31st, 2011.
So I kept that in my head, I kept that in my head, I kept that in my head. I said, okay. But I didn't even know anything about Empower Network. There was no, you know, no year-long pre-launch. You understand?
Like, it wasn't, I didn't have a, I didn't catch wind of it. I didn't know anything about it until October the 22nd of 2011. Okay. I found out about Empower Network about nine days before it launched. Let's put it in perspective.
So a whole year prior, I'd been thinking about this, 100 people to an event, 100 people to an event, 100 people to an event, 100 people to an event. And I was working on building up my team to get 100 people to the event in the company that I was in at that time. And we were building up and we were building up and we were building up. But then Empower Network came alive, right? And we had our first event.
And because of the things I had learned in team building and how to build teams, that first event in June of 2012 in Atlanta, I had about 45 or 50 people there from my team. The very first event. Now, I live in Atlanta. And so the 45 or 50 people, we had come over to my house after the event. We had a mastermind at my house.
Right, we told stories, we shared advice, we gave, we did little trainings and things. And we had a chef come by. Look, this is June of 2012. Right, 45, 50 people. Then what happened?
Well, we kept building and building and building and building and hey, listen, we got another event coming up. It's gonna be in San Diego in October, right? And then what happened? What happened was that my team doubled. So at the San Diego event, we had about 100 people from my team there.
Now, ironically, this was the magic number that my mentor told me I needed to have before my life would change. Now, I'm gonna tell you this. Again, see our income disclosure. And maybe what I'll do, I'll even take a picture of this and post it on Facebook tonight once I'm done with this call. Or maybe when Angela is talking, I will do this.
But a year into Empower Network, less than a year, because you see, it got started October 31st, 2011. So 2012, October, right? But not quite the end of October yet, but almost a year, right? My income literally doubled. Now, here's where I'm going.
Here's where I'm going with this. Again, see our income disclosure. These results aren't, I'm just saying this to illustrate what's going on, okay? I think it was like 98,250 or something exact like that, right? June, 2012.
By October, 2012, our team had jerseys. We had jerseys that we had made, and we'll cover this again, right? Jersey, we had our team name on the front and on the back of our jersey, instead of having like a number, like a one or a five, what we agreed to is we would put the number that represented our total commission, right? And I still have this jersey. The number that was on the back of my jersey was $191,000.
My number was 191K. In other words, it was on the back of my jersey. 191K, I still have it hanging up in my, hanging up in my, what you call it? My closet. So June, I was at 98, and October, I was at 191.
Now, you do the math. You do the math on that. I had 150 people in Atlanta, 98K. Had 100 people in San Diego, 191K. Probably a little bit more, because the jerseys had to be, had to be turned, the numbers had to be turned in a month before so that we could have the jerseys shipped and be on time with the numbers, right?
I couldn't get the jersey the day of. So really, it was more than that, but the jersey reflected 191. Okay? So that's close to doubling, and the number of people from the team doubled. Then what happened?
Then what happened was we went to, I think it was Austin, Texas in January of 2013. I lose track of what city was what sometimes. I've been to every last one of them, so it's hard to piece them together like that. But I think we were in Austin, Texas. Now, in Austin, Texas, what happened was that the team did not double in size at the event.
The team, numerically, we were still at about 100 people. But here's what the difference was. A lot of people quit. A lot of people quit between October and the January. But the 100 that showed up in January was almost a whole new fresh batch.
So we had 100 new people. A hundred new people were with us in Austin, Texas. 90 days later, and then what happened? Then, I think it was like April or something, we go to Chicago. We go to Chicago, and what happens in Chicago?
This is where the gold began to just multiply itself. There's something else that Wallace Wattles says in The Science of Getting Rich. He says, life, by living it, multiplies itself. Life, by living it, multiplies itself. Now, if your life isn't multiplying, you're not experiencing increase, you're not seeing growth, it's probably because you're not living life.
Life is living you. You are being a victim of these so-called circumstances as opposed to you being in control of your circumstances. Life, by living it, multiplies itself. So, because I'm living in my business, and my business was living in me, it began to multiply, right, itself. 100 people in Austin, Texas, we get to Chicago, we had 300 people in Chicago, just from our team.
Just from our team. And I've got the document, I've got the picture to show that we couldn't even take a team picture like a normal group of people. We had to have people stand down on the bottom level of the hotel, while we had photographers up on a second balcony to then aim down at the team to take the picture, and everybody's looking up, right, in the picture. Because you couldn't do it like a church picture, right? You couldn't do it like the choir.
You couldn't put nobody on risers, and everybody just smile with their little robes on, all that good stuff, right? It was literally something, a sight to see. A sight to see. After Chicago, guys, my business went into overdrive. It went into overdrive.
I'm gonna do this again. It went into overdrive. By January 25th of 2014, this is just a year or so later, over a million dollars in commissions. So what is the point of all of this? The point is that the power, the power is in getting you and your team to the event.
This is the same thing this woman who wasn't in this company told me, because this company didn't even exist. And she was making 100 grand a month for 20 years. 100 was the magic number. So I focused on getting 100, and life by living, it multiplies itself. So then the number began to multiply 300 people.
Then the income began to just double and triple over time. And 27 months, by living my life, things changed. So what I want to do at this point in time is because somewhere in here, I don't remember exactly where, but somewhere in here, Angela Carter at the time, right, she's now Angela Carter Tyson, but somewhere in this arena, Angela Carter gets on board the train, the Empower Network train. Angela, are you there? Angela Carter gets on board the train.
She gets on board the Empower Network train. Angela, are you there? Yes, Tracy, can you hear me? I can hear you, girl, loud and clear. So, Angela, so at what point, like I just told you about this little journey, and hopefully people have this in their mind, like a little timeline of what was going on.
What was going on in your world, and what is it that caused you to get started with Empower, and when in this timeline was that? Okay, well, I got started in Empower in February of 13, 2013. So it was right before the Chicago event. And I got started, those of you guys who know my story real quick, my background is, I got started in Empower. Prior to getting started in Empower, I was a licensed attorney.
I had graduated from University of Texas School of Law in Austin back in 2008, and I graduated with $220,000 in student loan debt. I was in the home-based business industry, and I got started in 2010 in another company, and I got started because I wanted to get free from student loan debt. So I got started, and I struggled for two years. I only brought in maybe about five people in two years, and in those two years, I felt like I was doing everything I could to build my business. I was doing online marketing.
I was talking to family and friends. I had tried cold public lease. I had did everything that goes to any of the events in that particular company. So around 2011, I got to the point where I just said, you know what, I quit this industry. I don't think I can do this.
I don't have the personality for this. Maybe I'm just not cut out for this. So I had essentially quit, and what ended up happening is I started getting all these emails about Empower Network, and it piqued my curiosity because not only did I see David Will, the cashier, because when I went online, I kind of had known about David's story and his success in terms of blogging, and I was curious in that way. It caught my attention in that aspect, but it also caught my attention because I saw all the success stories of people who had a similar story and a similar journey like I had, people who had struggled, people who were at a point where they were going to give up, didn't feel like they could really achieve their dreams and be an entrepreneur, and then somehow, some way, And for some reason, they got plugged into Empower's training, Empower's system, and their products, and all of a sudden, they started having results, right? So that kind of caught my attention.
So I got started February 13, 2013, so that's – I just celebrated my three-year mark in Empower. That's when I got started. And I got started just to kind of be nosy, because again, I had put this in there. I was like, you know, I don't think I'm going to really do this. So I got started right before the Chicago event.
And I guess my event story, my event journey is going to be a warning, and it's going to be an example for all of you that are listening to this call. For some of you, it's going to be a warning, because what happened is, like I said, I got started before the Chicago event, did not go to the Chicago event. I would get on calls at Tracy. This is why it's so funny that me and her are on this call, because Tracy was doing a – for the team, for the Dream Team, she was doing a midday motivational call, and she would get on these calls, like, she's on this call tonight, pouring her heart out, sharing the secret, sharing the key, right, to getting results. I would get on those calls, and I would get on, I would listen, but I did not go to the Chicago event.
And I'm like, man, I'm doing everything I can. I'm blogging. I'm, you know, I'm getting on calls. I'm doing this. I'm doing that.
Why are my incomes up? I feel like I'm doing everything. And it got to the point where I had to get honest with myself, and I've heard David Wood talk about this a lot. At some point, when you feel like you're doing so much, and you're not getting the results, you've got to get honest. You can't blame a company.
You can't blame a sponsor. You've got to take a cold, hard look in the mirror and ask yourself, am I really doing everything that I can? And when I asked myself that question, one answer got revealed, and it was, Angela, you haven't gone to an event yet, and an event is one of the core commitments. So then Denver event roll around, I did not go to the Denver event, right? And so by October, November of 2013, I said, you know what?
Enough is enough. I can't keep staying stuck. I've got to do what they're telling me to do. And going through this was one of the things I had not done. So I made a decision in October, November of 2013 to go to my first entire network event.
That next month in December, and I don't know if this is a coincidence. I don't think it was. I'll never forget it. Now, obviously, you know, income disclaimer, results are not typical, right? You can see our average earnings at EmpowerNetwork.com for that income.
But I was committed, right, to not be average. I didn't want to make average income. I wanted to make a full-time income. And so that's why I made a decision to go to the event. I think something happened where when you decide to finally get serious, when you finally decide to get committed, when you finally decide to put your actions, where your words are, where your intentions are, people around you start feeling differently.
They start seeing the difference in you. They start seeing that, whoa, okay, you're taking this seriously. And guess what happens? You start attracting other people who make bigger commitments. Well, that's what happened for me.
So January comes around, I go to Miami. Now, before going to Miami, I had all the excuses in the world, right? A lot of you may have that. You may say, well, I don't have the money, right? I don't have the legacy that it's going to be expensive.
You know, I've got to take up a hotel. So I really didn't see hardly any of that money. So here I am back in the same situation. Okay, I bought this event ticket. I don't know how I'm going to get to the hotel.
I don't know how I'm going to have the money for a hotel. I don't know how I'm going to have money for food. So here's what happened. I stopped asking and stopped saying, I can't, and I started asking, how can I? So here's what happened.
With the hotel, right, the hotel was like, I think $200 a night. It was the highest. And I'm like, dang, I'm going to be down there for four days, four to five days. It's going to be $800 to $1,000. I don't have that money.
So here's what happened. I said, how can I get it? I ended up getting a roommate, right? I roomed with three other women. I shared a bed.
Now, I didn't want to do that. I'm like, I don't know. I've never really met these people. I've seen them on Facebook groups, but I don't know if I'm really going to like them. But it was like, Angela, are you serious?
Right? How bad do you want it? So I said, okay, let me room. So I ended up going to Miami, and what would have been like $200 a night, really like $800 to $1,000 for a hotel, I ended up only spending $250 for five nights. So that saved hundreds of dollars.
Some of you right now that are like, I know I need to get to an event, but I don't know if I'm going to have the money. That was the strategy right there. Get a roommate. Get some roommates. Get a few of them.
Right? And that will save you a bunch of money. So I go to Miami, not knowing what to expect. Didn't even know if I had money for food. I was like, okay, I might be able to pay for like dinner each night, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to pay for like, you know, breakfast and lunch.
So I would get on a Tower Hour call, and I would hear Aaron Raskin, who's another millionaire inside the Tower. And he would talk about how the first event he attended, when he was in his industry, he didn't have money for food, so he had to bring protein powder. I was like, oh, that's my strategy. So I literally, you guys, I brought protein powder from Michigan, right, where I was living at the time. I said, that's going to be my breakfast.
And then for lunch, I said, okay, I'm going to buy these little tuna cups from my grocery store, and that's going to be my lunch. And that's how I got to Miami. January 2014, and I had three breakthroughs. One breakthrough was I ended up meeting Tracy for the first time, right? And that was the event, and, you know, the journey, the transformation, the timeline that she gave, that was the event that she cost a million dollars more.
And I saw her at the Dream Team party, and I'm talking to her. And you know how you have, you ever talk to some people and maybe some things are on your mind, and they're talking, but you don't, you're not really listening to them? So no offense, Tracy, but I really wasn't hearing, like you were talking to me and somebody else, and I really wasn't listening, because all I was doing, I was sitting there, I was sitting there thinking, like, Angela, you're this close to a million-dollar earner. You're this close to a million dollars. Yes, Angela, you, the same girl from Saginaw, Michigan, 30 minutes from Flint, Michigan, and some of you guys know what's going on in Flint right now with the water crisis.
You're this close to a million-dollar earner, and there are people who are 30 minutes from your hometown who are dealing with craziness. And I just read an article about this woman who, her 10-year-old son, right, got diagnosed with lead poisoning, and she said, I don't know, I would want to be able to leave Flint, but I don't have the money. Angela, you're this close to a million dollars. I was checking, I was going to the front desk, right, of that hotel, and I saw Justin Berenzia checking out the hotel, and I looked at Justin, I'm like, this dude made a million dollars. And I'm like, Angela, these are normal people.
If they can do it, you can do it. I had a personal transformation where now I finally started believing that I could do it. The same person that had quit this industry. The same person who felt like I didn't have what it takes. It took me getting to an event, seeing these people face-to-face, having conversations with them to ignite a belief in me that, Angela, maybe you can do it.
Maybe it is possible for you. Other people are doing it. Maybe you can do it, because they're normal. All they did was they just followed the rules. They just did things in a certain way.
And that event helped me unleash a belief in me, right? That event also, I remember sitting in the auditorium and hearing David Wood speak. Now, I've gotten on company calls, right, done power hour calls, and I've heard Dave speak before. But there's something about what happened when I went to that event, and I heard David Wood talk. And I said, you know what?
He doesn't talk like a lot of people in this industry. You know, a lot of people in this industry talk about what they want to do for their own personal household or for themselves. I want to walk away from my job. I want to be able to, you know, get free from debt. That's what I was saying.
But when I heard Dave speak, I said, wait a second. He's not talking about what he wants for his personal lifestyle, right? He wasn't on stage saying, hey, look, I want to get this tricked out man from Costa Rica and I want to do Kung Fu, you know, take Kung Fu lessons all day and all night. That's my big vision for Empower Network, you guys, so I can get rich and go live in Costa Rica and, you know, just have, you know, Kung Fu lessons all day. He wasn't talking about himself.
But when he was talking about the vision that he shared, the way he spoke, he was talking about what he wanted to do for this industry, what he wanted to do for all of us that was in this room. And that was a breakthrough for me. I said, Angela, you've got to get a bigger vision. And that event allowed me to get a bigger vision. And when I got home from that Miami event, I started getting on camera and I started sharing my vision of what I wanted to do, how I wanted to impact people in this industry.
And because of that, people started coming to me. People started saying, you know what, I want to join you, Angela. And they started joining me just because of that vision, just because I went to an event and I heard how leaders talk. And so, therefore, I started talking like a leader. The other thing that happened, and Tracy kind of alluded to this earlier, is that I met my husband at my first Empower Network event.
At that Dream Team party that I met Tracy, he was there. And we ended up having like a 15-minute phone conversation. And after the event, we stayed in touch and now we're married. I'm not living in Michigan anymore. I was able to move, right?
And now he's sitting here in the living room or, you know, in our apartment right now. I met him at an event. I met him at an event. Now, I'm not saying that, you know, you might meet your spouse at an event. But it may be possible, right?
Because it happened for me. Like-minded people get together, right? So, you know. Hey, Angela, we have to remind everybody to see our relationship disclosure, right, at empowernetwork.com forward slash relationship. Right.
But there's so many. It was so funny that there's so many people that hooked up, so many marriages, you know, so many in-babies happening. But, yeah, I mean, it's incredible. Like, I would have never thought that would have happened. But, you know, for you, you may not meet your spouse, but you may form some relationships with people, right, that are going to be instrumental, right, people that you would on your team or people not on your team.
I've met people now at events that I consider, you know, some of my great friends, some great business partners, Desmond Soome, right, Tony Roberts, Herschel Schott, Danielle Howe, you know, Dionne and Nicole Sylvester. These are people who not only are they succeeding, not only are they rising leaders, but because I connected with them at an event, we're able to now maximize, we're able to share what we're doing, and I formed a relationship with those powerhouses as well. So you may not meet your spouse, but you may meet some powerful people that are going to be, you know, leaders as well that are going to be willing to share and pour into you what they're doing to get results. But that was, like, my Miami, you know, my first event during Empower. Then I attended the Fight the Forces of Evil event in Orlando.
But here's where things got really exciting, right. So like Tracy said, she kind of had her breakthrough with 300 people coming to Chicago, which was the fourth event, right. Ironically for me, the fourth event for me was the, after the fourth event, was the Revolution event in Lake Las Vegas in January of 2015. Now by this time, my income has gone up. Your girl was moving up in the world, right.
I went from being at the Miami event, having to share a bed, and be in a room with three other people, to now at this Lake Las Vegas event, the Revolution event in January of 2015, I only had to share a room with one other person, and I had a bed all to myself, right. So I thought I was balling, right. Had my own bed, right. I still felt like, okay, I'm stuck. I want to get to a full-time income.
What, you know, what can I do? So I went to that event, and I said, you know what, I'm going to set an intention. That's one of the things David talks about all the time, set an outcome, right. So I went in with a game plan. So, you know, we gave the average disclaimer, like, you know, the average earnings, like this is what average people make.
See, what I've learned from reading the book that Tracy read from earlier, at the outset of this call, The Science of Getting Rich, is I learned that, you know, rich people, successful people aren't necessarily more talented, right. They're not like these geniuses, but they just do things in a certain way, right. They just do things in a certain way. And people who go to events, and their incomes grow, like Tracy did, from event to event to event, they're doing things in a certain way. So here's what happened for me.
When I went to an event, I didn't just go and say, well, I hope I get a great deal. Well, I hope I learn something. I hope I end up making money out of this because I showed up. There's a hope in my strategy. I came in and I said, this is what I want.
I want to, my goal from every event is I want to double my income. I set that intention myself, right. So I said, okay, if I'm showing out, let's just save $1,000, right, to go to an event. You don't really have to because I already gave you some strategies, right, to get roommates, to save a hotel, to save cost. Let's just say you spend $1,000.
So I go and I set an outcome. And I said, okay, my goal is what skill can I learn that if I learn from going to this event will allow me to make more money from after this event. And for me, it was upsell. So I set the intention. I wrote, I had a notebook, right.
And in my notebook, I have this notebook for every event. I have a new notebook and I write my outcome. I said, I want to learn how to increase my upsell. I kid you not. And those of you who went to the late Las Vegas event, the revolution event, in January 2015, you guys know exactly that this is true.
I didn't know that the company at that time, because of the great leadership that we have, with the marketing staff, with the corporate staff, with David Wood, they already had the intention of increasing upsells because their focus is not just growing the top leader's income, it's growing everybody's income, growing Angela Carter Tyson's income, growing that new person's income. Their focus is on helping that new person have even greater success. So I didn't know at the same time that when I was setting the intention of increasing my upsell, that I had a leadership, I had a marketing team, a corporate team, that was thinking about me on my behalf as well. And what was going on is they were constructing this upsell sequence at that time called the level up sequence. And that was designed to have us have more income.
It was revealed at the revolution event. So I kid you not, third day of the event, last day of the event, last segment of the event, David Wood comes out, walks on stage. He said, how many of you guys would like to increase your upsell? Literally, he said, how many of you guys would like to increase your upsell? If y'all would have saw me, I'm sitting like in the final, like back rows of the room, like towards the back.
If y'all would have saw me, I jumped up and I was like looking around, like y'all here, like he just said what I, and so I'm perking up, I'm getting my pen and my paper, I'm like, yes, come on Dave, come on, bring it. Yes, this is what I wanted, right? And I'm looking around and see, I talk about average people. See, average people wouldn't have showed up on this call tonight. Average people will show up on this call and still won't get their ticket to the next event.
Average people will show up on this call, buy their ticket to the event, and then don't show up. Average people will buy their ticket to the event, show up, but then don't go to the room, right? There are people who go to events and then they don't go. They'll hang out in the hallway. They'll hang out in the hotel room, right?
Some of them will actually go in the room, but then they're talking while the speakers are talking and they miss their breakthrough. Some of them fall asleep, right? They're not active. They're not engaged. But see, I didn't want to be average.
I want to make my money back from this event. So when Dave said, how many of you guys would like to increase your upsell, I perked up and I began to write in my notebook that had the outcome that I wanted, which was to increase my upsell. And Dave literally gave one strategy. He said, if you guys just do this, he said there's some of you right now that's bringing in about 10 people a month, which is exactly where I was at in my business. And he said, there's some of you right now, you had 10 people a month, and if you just learn how to increase your upsell, it would double to four times increase your income.
And I said, okay, yes. Now he's talking my language. Okay, all right, Dave, let's go. So I wrote down what he shared. I wrote down the one strategy that he shared.
And all I did differently, you guys, after that revolution event is I just did that one thing. I didn't do more videos. I didn't grind harder in my business. I didn't do more pay marketing. It was the one thing that Dave said on that last day of that event.
And here's what happened. February of 2015, $2,000. April, $4,400. I was on a full-time income from that one strategy. So some of you guys right now, you're not getting a ticket to the event because you're thinking, well, I'm going to spend all this money.
I don't know. Am I going to make my money back? I just gave you the strategy right there. You go in with the outcome, with the intention, that you want to make your money back, that you want to learn what's the one skill that if you just master it in your business will allow you to increase your income, and you go in with the focus and the intention of getting that out of the event, that's how you make your money back from these events. And that's what happened for me.
That was my revolution event, right? My income and my business revolutionized after that event. Here's what happened. April 2015 was the Unleash event, which is the event that we got coming up in Nashville. After that, at that event, was the first time I spoke on stage.
So the girl went from being somebody that was from Saginaw, Michigan, $220,000 in student loan debt, only had 100 bucks to her name, got started in the power just to be nosy, didn't even believe in herself, didn't believe that she could be an entrepreneur, couldn't even afford to have a hotel room by herself, had to share with three other women, had to share a bed, to now being a speaker on stage on the Rising Star Campus. Okay, April last year at the Unleash event. And here I am thinking, dang, wow, I can't believe it, right? And here's the other thing. The next event after that was the Rise event in Las Vegas and I had a solo speaking spot on stage.
So I wasn't being on a panel on stage to having a solo speaking spot. And here's why Rise, the Rise event is so important and so powerful to me. My husband came to that event, right? At that time, he was my boyfriend. And he saw me speak on stage.
So here's what was so awesome. I had a room to myself, you know? Right? I didn't have to share, you know, a bed. I was able to get a room, afford a room.
I was able to afford a room at the host hotel. And not only that, I was able to enjoy Vegas. We were able to enjoy Vegas together. We went on a gondola ride at the Venetian. We were able to go on the link, which was like a kind of like a Ferris wheel, like you could see Vegas at night.
I was actually able to enjoy the city. I was moving up. Not only was my business increasing, but I was able to start having more money, to do more things, to have more fun, to have more freedom. I was rising. I was rising.
The leader within me was rising up. My income was rising. I had started to have some team members that went to the event with me. And I saw their personal breakthroughs. And I saw them rise up.
So that's my event story, you guys. And here's what I'm going to tell you guys. Here's what I'm going to tell you guys. If you're tired, if you're sick and tired, then you're sick and tired, right? You're at a spot in your life and in your business where you feel stuck, where your income feels stuck.
If you're tired of feeling like, you know what, there's more inside of me, but I just don't know how to unlock it. I don't know how to unleash it. If you're tired of feeling like, man, you know, I feel like I'm doing so much in my business, but I'm stuck, I just need you to ask an honest personal question to yourself. Are you doing everything? Have you made a commitment to not only go to events, but if you notice, me and Tracy both shared, we went to consecutive events, right?
This Unleash event in Nashville is going to be my eighth consecutive event. I haven't missed an event since those two that I did when I got started, and that's a warning for a lot of you guys. That was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made in my entire business is not going to every single event since I joined. Since that Miami Freedom event in January 2014, I haven't missed an event since then and I'm not going to. So once I made the decision to stick with that course and attend an event, I'm going to stick it out and I'm going to keep going.
And my business has changed. My life has changed because of it. And my last name has changed because of it. Okay? So if you want to unleash more income, more freedom in your business and in your life, I don't know if there's anything else I can tell you, but get your ticket, get your ticket to the Nashville event and I'll see you guys in Nashville.
Let's commit to not being average, but being awesome. Tracy, back to you. Oh my goodness, Angela. Girlfriend, you just, everything just got fired up over here. I'm listening intently, right?
And here's what's cool about it. I remember each of those events, right? And as you're talking and you're talking about different things that are taking place, I'm thinking about how all of our worlds converge, right? And we're doing different things and we're experiencing different times in life. And, you know, I'm at a point, you know, I was at a point where I had a room for myself, but you are at a point where you are sharing a bed, right, with someone.
And you just never, I mean, you think about how all of us come together, me, you, the entire Empower Network community. There will be people at Unleashed that will be experiencing a similar situation that you experienced when you first went to your very first event. And then eight events later, you know, will be on an Empower Hour call sharing their story, but there's no, my point is there's no coincidence, right? There's no coincidence that you were doing exactly what you were doing at the exact time that you were doing it, as was I, as was, you know, you mentioned Justin Beringia was in line doing some stuff. You mentioned, you know, David Wood, you mentioned all these different people that were part of your journey.
They're like characters in your play that you set for yourself because you already know where you want to be in your life, and these are the different people that you come across and that you experience that serve as bridges to help you get there. And because you went to the event and you're committed, because, number one, it's part of our ACORE commitment, right? That's the most important thing. Attending the next event is an ACORE commitment, right, Angela? And so you committed yourself to going, and it's not a coincidence, like you said, that you are doing things in a certain way.
So therefore you are getting the results. When I talk about the little phrase or the little segment that I read earlier, it says if individuals are poor, it is because they do not follow the certain way of doing things which makes the individual man rich. And the certain way that we are talking about is getting to the events. Every million-dollar earner in Empower Network attends events, every last one of them, and maybe not like one or two of them for odd reasons, but, you know, everybody else attends the events, right? Anybody else attends every single event.
Anybody in Empower Network who is having and experiencing increase in their life, increase in their bank account, increase in their belief, increase in their confidence, increase in their self-image, increase in all these different things, advancement in life, advancement in family, it's because they are committed to not just the ACORE commitment, but especially, especially the one that allows you to actually be in fellowship with other people of like mind, of like heart, of like intentions, of like desires, of like dreams. You see, so many people, you guys are out there and your whole day, and it's just because the world we live in, you might be working at a place where not everybody is excited for you that you started this new business. Not everybody believes that you're going to make any money doing this little internet thing. Not everybody believes that the people on those pictures, that the people on that website, that the people in that sales video, that they're real. A lot of times people think that we're all actors, and that's not our fault, and it's not their fault either.
It's other marketers that actually do have sales videos with actors in them, and so therefore they think, people think that as they move forward, all these videos have actors in them. But we're not actors. We're real people with real lives and real challenges and real trials and tribulations and real things that we have to overcome too. And everybody starts their journey at step one. Everybody starts their journey at step one.
The first mistake that you could make is to think that you come across Angela Carter today, Angela Carter Tyson today, and you compare yourself to her when she's been to eight events and she's been in the company for almost four years. Well, over four, she's been her four-year anniversary, right? So you can't compare yourself to her because she's been running on the track just a little bit longer. She ain't better than you. I'm not better than you.
Nobody here is better than you. The only difference between people that are having the results that you want and you at this moment is that you're just getting started. And I can't paint this picture any better than, you know, my son is 20 months old, right? And everybody, you know, big shout-out to Quan Yin Varengia because Quan Yin just turned two on February the 11th, as well as her father, Justin Varengia. I won't tell his age, but they share the same birthday, right?
And so Quan Yin is four months older than Josiah, right? And we have several other leaders here who have children and things like that. And I think of Quan Yin so frequently because my son Josiah and her are so close in age, right? I mean, and they hang out together at the events. They play together, right?
They do all these things. They're growing up together in this environment, right, when they see each other every 90 days. But my point is that I look at my son Josiah, right? I can look at Quan Yin from a distance as well. And what we know is that these children are brought forth, right, and in this life, in this life, in this day, in this age, they're learning all this stuff brand new.
They're learning language. They're learning how to walk. They're learning how to use their body, right, like fine motor skills and, you know, picking up stuff and, you know, being able to rub a cat softly without banging down and grabbing the cat, right, and hurting the cat or dog or any animal, right? They're learning how to use this thing, this avatar that our spirit and that our souls are in called a body, how to use it effectively, right, in the physical realm, and they're learning all this stuff new. Does that mean that I'm better than Josiah or does that mean that Dee and Justin are better than Quan Yin or vice versa?
No, it just means that as parents, we've been on this track a little bit longer, a little bit longer on this thing called life. And so those kids look to us for guidance. They look to us for approval. They look to us for assurance and reassurance. And what I want you to understand, if you're new in this environment, it's okay.
It's a wonderful thing to be at the start because when you're at the start, you've got the whole rest of the journey to look forward to, and you've got the leadership and the spokes so highly of the corporate staff and due respect of our founder, of the leadership here, of all the people that are working tirelessly to help make this company a company that you can be proud to be of, be part of, and that will be here for you 20 years from now so that you have something to lead for your families like I hope to have something to lead for my son. And it starts by you understanding that you have to be around the people that are doing the thing in a certain way, that if you desire to have something that you can put your hands on that somebody else already has, then it is to your best advantage and benefit to get yourself around that person so that you can model that person, so that you can see what it is you can act in the certain way that they are acting, you can think in the certain way that they are thinking, that you can do in the certain way that they are doing. Because if you can think, if you can act, and you can do the same as the man or the woman that has already achieved something that you are striving to reach, well, you've already overcome the biggest hurdle. You've already overcome the biggest hurdle, which is following simple directions. And so what I'm going to do is I am going to give you an instruction, and the instruction is an instruction that you have, it's not new to you, but the instruction is that you follow the ACOR commitment and that you be dedicated to them, that you be committed to them.
And why are they set forth? They are set forth for you to have something to guide yourself in as you're in this vehicle. Because this is a different world. The world of entrepreneurship is not the world of employees. It's a different way of thinking.
It's a different way of doing. It is a different way of being. And we all need structure and guidelines, and these ACOR commitments help us all make sure that we are staying on track with doing the things in a certain way, that if we follow them consistently with faith and purpose behind our intent, we are assured that we can achieve our goal. That's the rule, that's the law of the universe, that if you do the thing in a certain way, and you think in a certain way, that you can get the thing that you want, whatever that thing is. And so the instruction is for you to get your ticket to the Unleash event.
That's the instruction. I believe there should be an image on the page there for you to be able to purchase your ticket to the Unleash event. We are going to be in Nashville, Tennessee. Now, for some of you that have already purchased your ticket, there will be information shortly in reference to the hotel and getting all of that stuff together for yourself. What I want you to understand is that you don't need to worry about that right now.
What you need to worry about right now is getting your ticket. That's the very first step. Actually, it's not, that's the second step. It's that you decided to follow the eight core commitments, and once you decide to do something, what that means is that you have actually cut off all other options. When you make an incision into something, you cut into, like a surgeon would cut into a patient to perform a surgery.
Well, when you make a decision, which is like the opposite of an incision, you decide, then you cut away from. A decision is you're cutting out of, you're cutting out all other options. And so when you decided to follow the eight core commitments, it shouldn't even be a secondary decision again to get to the event. There's nothing to decide. You've already cut off all other options related to following the eight core commitments.
And so the only thing left for you to do is to click on that button. It's to get your ticket to the Unleash event. And listen, get the general admission ticket, get the VIP ticket, like whatever you need to do, wherever you feel like you need to be. If you want to get a VIP booklet and you want to have advanced access and you want to be on the red carpet and you want to get a video of the recording, a recording of the event, and you want to be able to register early and you want to have the workbooking, you want to have all these extras, then go ahead, knock yourself out. Be VIP.
I like being VIP, by the way. And if you're honest, so do you. You like being VIP too. Just like people like being in first class as opposed to coach on the airplane. You like it.
You want it. But you find ways to discourage it to make yourself feel better. Like, you know, I've heard people say, oh, well, we all going to get to the same place at the same time. Yeah, but my experience is going to be different and I'm living life for experience. I'm not living life to just get to where I'm getting to.
I'm living life for the journey. So you like first class too. But it's just you haven't tapped into your abundantly available resources so that you recognize that you deserve to be in first class if you want to be in first class. But you know the desire is there. You know, don't front.
You know the desire is there. So you like being VIP. You like having this access. So get the VIP ticket. Get it.
Now, if you don't want to do it, then okay, whatever. Get the general admission ticket. Just get the ticket. Now, here's what I'm going to tell you. Every week, this ticket price is going to increase.
So see, the world has trained you in the world of retail that you wait for things to go on sale. You know, the new line of clothing comes out in the fall, and then by the spring of the next year, what happens? That fall line is now on sale. The prices have gone down, right? The old model now is on sale, right?
You buy it, it's 2016, you want to buy yourself a car, and you go into the dealership and you buy you a 2011, well, that's on sale, right? That's a different price than the 2016 model. See, retail has trained you that way, and what we're trying to help you understand is that is not the way of entrepreneurship, of seizing opportunity. Seizing opportunity is now, not later. Prices go up later.
You pay more. My mother used to always say, listen, you're going to always pay the price, right? Either you're going to pay now or you're going to pay later. And later is usually always more expensive. My mother used to tell me that as a kid growing up.
You're going to pay now or you're going to pay later, and later is always more expensive. And I am here to tell you that will be your experience if you wait. So why would you wait to pay for a ticket when you can get the ticket now at the cheapest price it's going to be because it's going to go up every single week? So get the ticket now. Don't worry about the room.
The rooms and stuff will be made available. You will get them in enough advance notice. It will be fine. Listen, what you've got to start doing is trusting that the universe and that God is going to put things in a way to converge for your benefit. And when you start seeing the world in that way, when you start experiencing and walking in life in that way, you won't really be worried about too much at all ever because you always know it's going to work out.
Why wouldn't it work out? You've been promised it's going to work out. The question here is do you believe it's going to work out? And if you're holding back from buying your ticket, it's that question. If you don't necessarily believe that it's worth it yet, you don't understand the power of what Angela just shared with you here tonight, you don't realize some of the lessons that I shared with you from people I've met on my journey here tonight.
You don't believe it. So this is the best time for you to get to the event so that you can then prove to yourself that either you were right or that you were wrong. But if you don't get to the event, then it will always be a question in your mind. You will then be a speculator, and then guess what will happen? You will be a person who gossips about things that they do not know because they have never experienced it.
They have not attended. So if you've never been to an Empower Network event and you are skeptical as to whether this is really real and whether these people are really making this type of income and the people's lives are really changing in this way, and if David Wood was really homeless or not, and if this and that, and over here and over there, if you're really wondering about that and your arms are crossed and folded and you're feeling a little funky and you're tapping your foot on the floor, then that is your indication to buy your ticket. Because now is your chance to see for yourself and prove yourself right and or wrong. And I will tell you what. If you prove yourself right, then that's fine.
But you will have an experience that you will never, ever, ever forget, something that will stick with you. And I can almost guarantee you it will be a positive one that you will be able to turn into something in your life at some point in time. And if you prove yourself wrong, then amen, hallelujah to you. Because then it's you that's getting the message. You recognize that it's the power of events that has the power to change your life.
It is time for you to unleash. Let go. Let go of all that bull that's holding you back. Let go of the weight in your life. Let go of that heavy backpack on your back.
It's weighing you down. Let go of all that past stuff. Let go of the past failures. They were just learning lessons anyway. Let go of who hurt you.
Let go of what happened to you in your business. Let go to what your mother or your father did. Let go to what your wife or your husband did. Let go of any and everything that is not serving as your propulsion into your dreams. Let it all go.
It's time to unleash. And we are going to be in Nashville, Tennessee, April the 21st through the 26th of this year. And you deserve to be there with all of us. So go ahead, click on the button, get your ticket. And what I want to do now is I want to see if my good friend and founder of the company, David Wood, is on the line.
And if he is, I'm going to turn it over to you. Dave, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Can you hear me okay, Tracy? You sound crystal clear, bro.
The call is yours. Awesome, awesome. My phone is almost out of battery, so I don't know how long I'll have on here. So I can't do my normal thing where I talk for three hours. But first of all, I just wanted to say that was awesome.
I was actually just trapped up in your excitement, Tracy, because I could hear your passion, your excitement, your belief in what you're doing, your vision. And those things always come before something great happens. And so I'm really proud of you, really proud of what you're doing, really proud of your team. And I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being a leader.
Thank you for being here, for doing great things in your own organization, doing great things in your team. for setting an example. Thank you, Angela, appreciate you coming out and co-hosting the call. And it was just incredible listening to you. I really believe, and I wanna put this out for everybody here on the call, I really believe in what we are doing and the purpose that it serves.
And I mean that, and I'm gonna talk a little bit about what that is until maybe my phone runs out. If it runs out, then you're gonna have to come back Thursday to find out how it ends. But I really believe in the message and the mission behind what we do, and that the mission of what we do is not to get a commission, it's not to get to the top rank, it's to empower people, and to empower people to do what? To transform their lives, to step into their mission, to step into their purpose, and to do the things that are inside their heart, the vision that has been inscribed into their heart, sometimes since the day they were born by, I think, the finger of God. And I really believe that people can accomplish great things.
I believe in people. And I've seen time and time and time and time again that when people are given a key that can unlock the gateway of their own resources, and they're given the strategy to do that, that they tend to do great things, and they tend to be really good on the inside. Even when people don't do good things, I find that when you get past the hard, rusty core, and the anger, and the pain that's causing their aberrant behavior, what they're actually trying to do, and the reasons they're trying to do it, tends to be good, and that goes back into an old saying that says people always do the best they can with the resources they have available, including you. And a great thing about believing that's true is that belief implies forgiveness, and that belief implies also that if you give people more resources, and you give them access to more resources, they'll do better things. And so my purpose and my vision has been to transform people and to give them resources to accomplish the good things that are inside their heart, believing that if I do, they'll change, and the world will change, and the things that are possible for them will change.
I've seen that time and time and time and time again as people have been inspired to do great things in their life because of this movement. People have been inspired to not take their own life. People have been inspired to change other people's lives. People have been inspired to start all kinds of businesses. People have been inspired to step into the greatness that they always knew that you have inside.
And I really, really, really am proud when I listen to Tracy because I know that I did not create her greatness. I know that I, like she's a part of mine, I got to be a part of the greatness she stepped into, which is just a fraction of the greatness she's stepping into in the future, and I'm proud to be a part of that, and I'm proud to be a part of that vision. And so you're listening to this call, and you hear her say these things. The cool thing that you hear her saying is that this is really simple. You know, when you listen to somebody who's really great in this industry, when you really listen to what they teach, and when you really listen to what they're saying, what they're actually telling you to do is always very, very simple if you're just willing to follow the process.
Like Tracy just came on here, and she said you got to follow the eight core steps. You know, people are like, I felt the secret, you know? Like there's something more, but maybe the secret is actually being consistent in the pattern that we're all following together, aiming in one direction because it's more powerful to be unified than it is to be right. Maybe the secret is in speaking your world into existence like we teach in one of the audios, which you would listen to if you were just following the eight core steps and actually listen to the inner circle every day. Maybe the secret is actually something that you read in a book.
Maybe it's something that you'll actually read in the book, the secret, if you just follow the core commitment where we tell you to read every day. Maybe the secret is something that you're going to learn if you're in your chair when that special speech is given at the event that's just for you, and maybe you won't hear it if you're not there, so the secret is actually showing up to the event in the first place. Maybe the secret is actually just deciding that you will be consistent no matter what happens around you, that when there's a storm that's spinning in all directions, knocking down the homes that are surrounding you in your life, you are the eye of the storm, and then at the very center, there's a calm person sitting in a chair, smiling, reading a book if they're just deciding to be core. Maybe the secret is actually having a vision. Maybe the secret is actually following through on what it takes to achieve your vision and not second-guessing yourself all the time.
You know, this is a pattern that I see people running. You know, and you say, what's the benefit of being the owner of the company? The only thing that I have really as a benefit is I get to see really cool things, right? Like I get to see giant patterns in behavior and how they play out over time. I get to see what happens right before people's breakthroughs and things like that, you know?
And I get to watch the behavior of lots of people. Not really so much more benefit than having a really big team, but I get to see a lot of data and I get to see, you know, what happens to people right before they have a transformation. And sometimes it's really interesting. Somebody will be in a power network and they'll be in for, you know, a couple of months or a year or whatever, not really doing anything. Now, if you ask them when they're not doing anything, they would tell you they're struggling.
That they're trying to do it. They would tell you that they're taking action, but really what they're doing is they're refreshing their computer screen, maybe watching a video again and again, maybe being really nervous for long periods of time. And they're not really taking a lot of action. In fact, the only action they're taking is they're getting very good at procrastinating because procrastinating, believe it or not, is actually a form of action. So it's kind of a funny word.
You're getting really good at avoiding doing things. That's procrastination. So you're actually taking action of avoidance, right? Which is something you do. So if you learn to change that action, you learn to change that behavior, you also change the result.
So sometimes all it is, is somebody just hears something on audio listening to the inner circle, and then all of a sudden they start taking action that they could have taken months ago, but for some reason they didn't, and why didn't they? It's a question. I don't know because I'm not God and I can't look into the hearts of men. But I'll tell you something that's fascinating that people over and over and over and over and over again, when they just decide to put all their heart and soul in one direction, accomplish the vision that's in their heart and their mind, and they actually step into it. And that's what I've seen.
And so Tracy talked about a lot of stuff and I don't wanna repeat things and I'm gonna run out of batteries here on my phone. Here's what I wanna talk about here for a minute. Is I wanna talk about the event coming up and also what we're doing between now and then. And also if I were you, what I would focus on, okay? And I'm gonna tell you these things because I think they're gonna be good for you to hear from me, all right?
And I think that if you listen to it and you do it, I think it will transform you. I believe that it will. I believe that the actions that you take will transform you. Not only things that I particularly say. I believe I could be a catalyst though.
And I've been a catalyst for a lot of people who I've ran into them in their life and because of the relationship, because of the way that our energies cross paths for whatever reason, they did change and they did start doing things differently. So we're focused on making things simple here. And we're making sure that everything that we do that is simple works the way that it's supposed to work. We're focused on sales processes, on making sure that everything that we do is making you as much money as possible from every new member that you bring in Empower.org, that we keep them retained the longest, that we get them the best results, that we get the best duplication, that we maximize upsells within people's purchase ability and within their desire to get results. And we're focused on culture processes that are gonna make people stay around because we know that if people stay around for a while, it gives them a chance to step into the transformation that they need to have to actually build this and to actually make this work.
See, here's the thing, what Tracy said was simple. The actions you need to take in your business are simple. And it's not a question of whether they're simple, it's a question of whether or not you'll do them. And what I find is that it's not the process that determines whether or not people are going to do this. It's not the process that determines whether or not people are going to break through.
It's not the process that determines whether or not you're gonna succeed at the highest level. It's the culture that keeps you in long enough and gives you enough value to experience the transformation and the belief change that you need to have in order to step into the highest form of action, massive action that you could take in order to create the change in the world around you, in order to step into the results that you've always wanted to get, the results that are inside your heart, the outcome that's inside your heart and mind, the vision that's inside your heart and mind. It is your transformation that creates those results. It's not a tactic, it's not a strategy, and it's not a process. So all of the processes, therefore, that we're focused on are focused on how can we get people to take the actions that are gonna lead to the highest level of transformation.
When I got started in this industry, hold on, I'm gonna plug my phone in. Tell me if I can, can you still hear me? Hello? I think you can hear me. Yeah, we still hear you, Dave.
Okay, cool, cool, cool. I've got slightly limited mobility next. My phone's plugged in. So in any case, when we focus on processes that get people involved in a community that gives them a chance to experience their transformation, all of that leads back to eight simple things that are there when you start in Power Network, the eight core steps. And if you're on this call, basically, if you shortchange that process, you need to tonight go through that process and make sure that you get started in your business right, even if it's your fourth year, right?
So the question is, when do you get started in Power? You get started, really, when you start doing it right, right, when you start doing it right. When you start taking the right kind of actions here, you'll immediately start getting the right kind of results. When you're taking the wrong actions, you're not gonna get the right results. When you're taking the right actions with the wrong energy, you're not gonna get the right results.
We were talking to Justin Brangy the other week, who's getting great results through Facebook PPC, and I did a call with him today. And we asked him, and we said, I bet you could take this exact same process, these exact same words, you could take this exact same layout in the video, the exact same background, and if we replace your energy with incongruent energy, with somebody that didn't have the belief that you have, and he said, absolutely, it doesn't work the same, I've tested it, and people that aren't congruent in their beliefs, they still get results, but the results are not nearly as optimal and not nearly as high. And the biggest thing about this kind of a business is that if you really want to attract people, if you really want people to flock to you with their credit card in hand, hungry and drooling, just excited to buy, if you really want to help people to get a result, you've got to get your energy right, and you've got to be in the right belief space, and you've got to be in the right spirit space, and all of that comes from your personal transformation. So therefore, in order to create a financial transformation, we must therefore go back to the root. And there's this old saying that says, take the fruit to the root, right?
If the root of the tree is rotten, the fruit will be rotten too. If the root of the tree is put in soil that doesn't have the right minerals, the fruit of the tree will not taste as good as it's in highly mineralized soil. So you want to go back to the root, the root of your behavior, the root of why it is that you're getting the results that you're getting or not getting the results that you're not getting. You want to go back to the source of it, which is deep down inside yourself, and that is the beliefs that you have about yourself, your state that you're in, personal, inside your spirit, and is that belief state congruent with the actions that you're taking? See, a lot of people will go out and they go through the motions, and going through the motions will produce a certain result, but if going through the motions is incongruent with who you are, you need to change who you are, and that's not talking about changing your personality, it's not talking about taking anything away from you, it's talking about giving you new resources to step into new beliefs that are more empowering about what you can actually do, and I actually don't think any belief ever, ever that you could have can really describe adequately the significance of who you are.
I really don't believe, right? I believe that there are not words, that there are not words, that there can't be poems written, that songs cannot be written, that you can't actually use any word in any language to describe how great people are. I don't think so, right? So every belief change that you have is just moving you closer towards the source, it's not actually getting there, because we're human beings, we have limited cognitive ability, we can't comprehend the whole universe at the same time, we don't even know how our brains work, we don't know what consciousness is, right? We're human beings, we're limited in all sorts of ways, but one of the limitations that we have is, we have a difficult time seeing how unlimited we can be, and I really believe that everything that you can do to change your belief, to moving you towards a more powerful, more humble, more receiving, more loving state, is gonna be a change that's powerful, and therefore, all of our core steps are focused on transforming your business while transforming your heart and mind.
See, I talked about this the other week when I was on a hangout, it was a highly effective hangout, it really taught the team how to sell event tickets, and by the way, the ticket prices are increasing this week, I would log in if I spontaneously decided to change them, just for random, maybe this is the lowest price you'll ever get. Log into your back office and click the event tab right now, and buy your event tickets. Go ahead and lock in your tickets now, and make sure that you are going to Nashville, and that you've locked in your registration before we sell out and you lose your chance, because we may just sell out and not have any tickets available, and not have any space, because maybe the fire marshal will stop us from selling tickets, they'll say, this is too many, I don't know, right? But here's the thing, why events, and why are events important? Events are important because they produce belief transformation, and belief transformation is important because belief transformation transfers to the actions you're taking, and makes the actions that you're taking produce a different result, it makes the words that you're speaking have a different emotional impact, it makes the vision that you have seem tangible and real, it makes it so you get into a state to where you understand what the products are, you understand how the compensation plan works, you understand the hearts of the leaders, you understand the struggles they've been through, you get a chance to hang out with them, and ask them questions, and to hang out in groups, and to make videos with them, and you get into a space where you understand, more importantly than anything, that you are not better or worse than any other human being, and that you can do this, if you so desire.
And it helps you tap in to the resources you have to get the results that you want, and so events have always been the core of our culture. In fact, when we started this company, one of the eight core steps was go to all the events, and we didn't have an event plan, we couldn't do one until June, which was seven months after we started, right? So we do an event in June, and what happened? Well, this is what happened, let me describe it to you. The next month we did 1.5 million, the next month we did 2.5 million, the next month we did 3.5 million.
By the end of the next year, we were at 7 million in sales. And you say, Dave, when is it that all started, and when is it that started to get root, take the fruit back to the root? It all started in Atlanta, Georgia, the very first event that we did. Because that was actually the day that the Empower Network was born. And those of you who attended the live stream at the Miami event, you know that was the day Empower Network was reborn in something now.
And the reality is, is that's happening right now, that same pattern. And in the process, there were people that got in at the beginning. There were people that were in the room, the very first room of people we had was 30 people when we launched. There was people that were there that quit with the first obstacle. There were people there that would quit with the second obstacle.
There were people there that quit with the third and then the fourth and the fifth. And only a handful of them remained six months later. Because they just stayed the course. And the reality is, when you have a vision that impacts people spiritually on the inside, when you have a vision that impacts their heart, when you have a vision that impacts who they are, what happens is you get attacked right before something good happens. It's a really fascinating phenomenon I've noticed over the years.
And I've seen it actually happen again and again. And I don't actually know how this generates, to be honest, because I don't know how the universe works. But to be a human being, to really understand all the things that are going on in my environment around me, I don't have 360 degree sights that can see into all dimensions of space, time, and the universe. But I find the universe fascinating. And I know that when I got started in this vision, that this vision just kind of came to me when I was walking the mountains in Costa Rica.
And it came to me all at once, comp plan products. I've talked about that a lot, and I think there's not a lot of people that really realize that's exactly how it happens. But those of you who are close to me, those of you who are my friends, you know that's exactly how I operate. I sit there thinking about something, and I'm inspired with something, and it all comes to me at once, and I start working on it whenever I do that work. Those of you who are my friends, you know that.
And so this company all came to my mind in one moment, and I started working on it. And just before it launched, it was the attacks came from everywhere. Then right after it launched, the attacks came from everywhere. We had merchant issues, and this issue, and that issue, and this issue, and that issue, and then our site got destroyed, and then there's all sorts of stuff like that. That's four years ago, right?
But I persevered through the struggles. I persevered through the attacks. I persevered through the darkness, and I just kept moving forward. I climbed over it. I walked around it.
I built a door and walked through it. I got people to help me up onto a ladder, and I climbed over it, right? But I got through the struggles because I never quit. And you know, the secret is that Tracy's success is because she never quit. There was a time early in the company when we couldn't process payments, when the merchant processor said, shut us down, because the truth is that we didn't know what we were doing, and we didn't know how to explain it to the merchants, because we were new.
And we just thought they understood it, and they didn't understand it, and we had to learn how to operate a business to empower them. The core team had to look, right? And when we learned how to operate a business, it was easy to get merchant accounts, and we solved that problem. But we had a problem because we were processing so much volume so fast, they shut us down. And Tracy Walker, guess what she did?
In vision, in faith, in belief, that she stood up and she said, in this team, in the dream team, it doesn't matter if we're paid or not, we will follow the eight core steps. And her whole team kept blogging with no ability to be paid during that whole time. And she actually had, at that time, her own merchant account she could have used. And you know what she said? I won't use my own merchant account because I won't do anything my people can't do.
See, that's somebody who perseveres through darkness, who gets attacked and just walks right through the wall that's in front of her. That is somebody who's destined to be great. And I remember I was backstage when we were on in Miami, Florida, giving some million dollar rings away to people in the palace. And Tracy Walker, She was $5,000 away, I believe, and I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm sure she could tell the story, from her million-dollar ring. And she was sitting there back there, and she was with some friends.
They were on the phone. They were calling their downline, and her team all unified around her to help her cross over that threshold, to help her step into that space. And while we were on stage doing the million-dollar ring ceremony, she stepped out a new million-dollar earner. That is somebody that persevered through the dark, right? See, the reason why people don't step into their greatness is not because God didn't make them great.
It's because they're not willing to go through the pain. They're not willing to endure the attack. They're not willing to just continue on in faith, knowing something good is about to happen. See, this is what I actually was talking about. I was talking to my brother, and he was like, you know, dude, this is all this stuff.
He says, it's really fascinating. And he's like, what do you think that means? And I said, I think it means, Will, the same thing that you think that it means, because we know what it means. It means something great is about to happen. It means that we're on the right track.
And that's what I've come to learn. See, when you really learn the way the universe works, you'll learn that even when you're in your darkest points, and even when things attack you, that something great is about to happen, because you know that all things work together to put you at the right place at the right time, just for what you need to do in your own life, with your own mission and purpose, to do what you're supposed to do in this world. And even when bad things are happening to you, and even when you're attacked, it's a good thing. And you smile, and receive it, and look for the blessing in it. And that might give you a different attitude about things, and it might be a different philosophy, but you know what, it tends to work.
And I'm fascinated all the time by things that don't really make logical sense to me. But for some reason, they tend to produce a result. You know what I mean? Like when I was recruiting, and I first started, you know, in my business, I was using scripts and overcoming objections the way my uplines taught me, and the way that I learned in audios over the years had taught me. And then one day, I just decided to defy all rules, and just say whatever I wanted with the right energy, and see what happens.
And I could tell people the most ludicrous things in the world in response to their questions, or not answer them at all, and it didn't matter. It still produced the exact same result, because it was not the words that mattered. It was the intention behind the words. But some people would never get to that point. Why?
Because they quit. The first time somebody says no. They get an email, and the person doesn't join, and they say, oh no. But the reality is that most people on my list said no. All the prospecting calls that I did prior before I started my business in 2009 on the internet, almost all of them said no, but some of them did say yes.
But I persevered, because I believed in what I was doing. And through the darkness, through the struggle, came the victory. And then Power Network was fascinating when we launched, and now is today. I was talking to Lawrence the other day, and he said, we need more stories like this. And we were talking about this story of this guy in Kenya who hit my brother up a few years ago, asking him for $100.
And it wasn't the normal thing that you get from South Africa, where somebody sends you a message and says, mister, I'm going to wire $10 million from you from this dead heir to your family throne, or whatever the email is. You know what I'm talking about, those scam emails, right? It was somebody asking for $100. So my brother says, that's interesting. I won't give you $100, but I can give you some advice.
Can I ask what you're trying to do? And the guy said, yeah. I need $100 to buy a watermelon field. And my brother was like, wow, this guy actually, like, you know what I mean? It's like, oh, OK, this guy's resourceful enough to get on Facebook and ask people for money and say, why can't you just work for the money?
And the guy said, it would take me more than my whole life to come up with $100. And my brother gave him one exercise, an exercise that is in the inner circle, that has been on our conference calls, that exists in the next level breakthrough group that we're doing right now, the coaching group that we're doing, that exists in the old 15K formula product. He gave him one exercise and gets an email from him three years later. He says, I want to thank my mentor because of you, because of you, I now work $6 million and I'm starting a new, like, interstate highway company or something like that in the country of Kenya, right? I'm misquoting the story slightly.
You can ask my brother about it. That's a guy who's hungry and who's willing to follow advice and willing to learn and willing to persevere. But is that really any different than a homeless man in 2009 starting a company that does $184 million in sales on the internet with nothing? A company that was started over a broken internet connection from a wooden table in an old house in Costa Rica up in the mountains that I lived in for a couple of years while I was making money online. Is that really any different than Tracy Walker doing millions and millions and millions of dollars in sales in her organization through her team over the years and earning over a million dollars?
Is that really any different than an engineer who one day decides that he's going to do what he was taught and 45 days later he makes over $40,000? Is that really any different than Justin the hippie Jedi? Is that really any different than him? Is that really any different? See, all victory stories are the same.
They're ludicrous. They're absurd. They're out there. They're extravagant. They're not typical CR income disclosures.
But I don't want to be a typical person. I want to be a person that produces miracles. And what Empower Network wants, what we did and what we're doing now, is we're making those stories happen bigger, better and faster. We're making them happen more frequently. We're making them happen with more people is what we're doing.
Empower Network is here fundamentally to spread a message of hope and victory so that you can step into a new kind of life. And that's how we started and that's who we are and that's who we're going to be and we're focused, extremely focused. And so here's what I know. I know that we are on the right track and I'm smiling through it all because knowing that we're on the right track, I know where it's going because I know the path. And if you're on the call, you're in Empower Network and you're in a space where you say, I don't know what to do.
Here's what I'm going to tell you, man. Number one, register and get your event ticket to Nashville. Just decide and say, I will be there. Just get your ticket and say, I'm going to come. Hit me up on Facebook and say, I'm coming to Nashville.
Tell me you're coming. Answer the blog post and say, I'm coming to Nashville. Go and buy your event ticket and register for Nashville. That's number one. Number two, you're in Empower Network but are you all in?
Have you gotten all in yet? Have you really decided that this is what you're going to do? Being all in is not a financial commitment. It's a decision. And this is the thing that I want you to understand is that financial decisions, they fall, financial commitments, excuse me, they follow the actual decision.
You decide to go to college, right? That's the decision. The financial commitment is paying for it. Getting all in is a decision, right? And then you find a way to do it.
But you first must decide. And to decide, what do you do? You cut off other options. You say, this is the path that I will walk down. And it goes straight ahead towards my goal, towards my outcome, towards my vision.
That's what you do. That's what a decision is. And so the decision is that you're going to build this. The commitment is the eight core things. That's the order they fall in.
And if the decision is, I'm not going to do this, then okay. But don't kid yourself and say that you tried because you can't try to do something. You decide to do it or not. I got started in the network marketing industry 21 years old in the year 2002. Offline, Amway, and home meetings, right?
My brother was my sponsor at the time. My brother Will, he got me in. And I can't remember what he talked about in that presentation, but I had seen it before and kind of was fantasizing about five getting five getting five. But it didn't quite work out that way. It never does, right?
But seven years later, seven years of frustration and failure in the home business industry, quitting a few companies, but then immediately doing it again and re-engaging and say, how can I do it? Hopeless optimism. People used to say that to me. You're hopelessly optimistic. But it seems that optimism is about having hope, isn't it?
So there is no hopeless optimism. There's just hope and optimism. Hopeless, they'd call me. When are you ever going to quit? Never.
Say, Dave, what's your exit strategy for Empower Network? A tombstone. I'll avoid that as long as I can. Why? I made a decision to build this company one time, and I want to remind you all.
I've been here. I said I'd be here, and I'm here. And I will be here no matter what happens. Because I already made a decision. I made a decision that I was going to do it.
And all I've done since then is follow through. And I will accomplish the outcome of this company, no matter what obstacles I face, with or without you. And I like it for people to understand that. And that's not to say that you're not important. It's to say that you are important, but if you don't do it, God will give me someone else who will.
Period. That's what I believe. That if you're supposed to do it, and you're not the one who does, that mantle will be given to someone else. I'll never leave you. I'll never quit on you.
I'll never give up on you. I'll never stop no matter what personal obstacles I have. I'll just keep fighting. Because I believe in what we're doing. And you say, Dave, why do you believe so much?
Why is it that you believe in this in particular? Well, this is my purpose. Doing this. Because I know how it transforms people. And I know the transformation that happened in my own life from this.
I went from years and years and years of desperate action to finally getting it. And finally breaking through. And I stepped into a new kind of space in my life. A space in my life where I learned to create things. A space in my life where I learned to exert creation energy on the universe around me.
Creation energy. What's that? That's vision. That's unbreakable. Faith that's unstoppable.
Action that can't be discouraged. And a humble heart that's willing to change things when things don't work. And a mindset where your vocabulary doesn't have the word quit in it. Those are for those other people that do things a different way than you. It doesn't matter what happens with your health.
What happens in your personal life. You are going to accomplish your mission. Right? Unbreakable. That's creation energy.
Vision. Faith. Undyable work ethic. You know, I was in a room a long time ago and a guy named Dave, Dave Shores, he was my old amway up one. He said, I will work my ass off to be able to be lazy whenever I want to.
But I won't be lazy so I'll have to work my ass off whenever someone else tells me to. Wise words. Wise words. There are people on the call right now. You know you're supposed to go to Nashville.
It's calling on you. And I'm not talking to everybody. I'm not talking to the people who are like, this isn't for me. I'm talking to you, the one that has it in your heart. And you know you're supposed to go buy your ticket and you've been avoiding it.
And you know that feeling that you have inside, that kind of like, uncomfortableness you have is because you are procrastinating the action that you should be taking because you lack belief in yourself. But I'm in here to tell you that you need to go to Nashville because you need to get the belief in yourself. You need to get the belief in the people around you. You need to get the belief in the thing that you're doing because you are supposed to do this. I'm talking to you.
I'm not talking to everyone. Because I actually believe that not everyone is supposed to do this. I believe the right people are. I believe that there are people that are placed in my life for certain reasons. And I've seen this play out again and again.
And sometimes the people that are placed there, they don't follow through on their reasons. And what happens is they're replaced by somebody new. And I don't particularly like that because I take everything personally. And I love people. So it breaks my heart when I see people who don't do what they're supposed to do.
But you know what? It's fine. Because the vision will be accomplished. No matter what obstacles we face. No matter what's thrown at us.
Doesn't matter. And that's why we're going into Nashville and we will have 2,000 bodies in that room in Momentum headed towards $100 million a year with a new group of people that are going to hit gold in the planet. With a new group of leaders. With a new team of people that have never been to an event before. With new people.
With a new vision. With a new hope for a new future. Who believe that they are here to do something greater. Who have the tools. Who have the resources.
Who have the heart to do something amazing. Who have the heart to empower others before they take for themselves. Who have a heart to put people first and take profits. Who have a heart to follow through on what they say they're going to do. Who have a heart who have a heart a heart for the people.
And Power Network fundamentally is a company that has a heart for the people. Has a heart for you. Whether or not you're here and ready to receive it at this moment. But if you're on this call here's what I believe. I believe that you are ready to receive it.
I believe that you are sitting here on the phone and you feel like I'm staring at you. Talking just to you. Maybe I am. Maybe because there's a part of my spirit that's staring into the future. And I know there's someone on this call right now you've never ever made it before.
Your life has been full of pain and despair. But something good is happening now. And everything's about to change. And you're buying your tickets you're going to Nashville you're getting all in tonight. I believe there's somebody on this call that's been in Power Network maybe even for four years three years I don't know.
And you're not where you want to be you're not where you hoped you'd be. But now you're doing something different. You're just hoping you know that it's your time. I believe there's somebody on this call who's not in Power Network right now and they're saying this is off. And you're going to your email right now and you're deciding to join.
I believe there's somebody on this call right now sitting in front of your computer watching us on the page clicking the button and joining because you've been looking at this and wondering is this for real? And you just found out, it is. These calls are unscripted, no actors I'm just pacing around my house talking from my heart sharing what's inside. I'm looking out over the city of Iskazoo, Costa Rica standing in my living room the wind's blowing, it's been windy this time of year for some reason normally it's actually really hot this time of year and I see lights flickering in the distance the lights of the houses because the sun has gone down and as I look out there you know what I see? I see human beings people, hearts and minds people struggling people believing, people praying for something different, hoping for something different people having victories in their lives, there's someone who just got married there's someone who just had a baby there's probably a lot of them that just had a baby somebody just fell in love and somebody else's heart was broke people going through life and they're wondering when is it going to be my time just like you they speak a different language, they live in a different country but they're just like you and you know what they're waiting for?
they're waiting for a visionary who believes big enough to fill stadiums upon stadiums of people, shouting in victory they're believing for a leader who cares to never give up on their people no matter what happens they're believing for a future where new doorways open in time and they step through that doorway and the blessing begins, the universe works like that sometimes you're walking through struggle in all the settings, like you come and there's a door and you put your hand on the door and you open it and there's light shining on the other side as you step through into the light you realize that you've been in it all the time only right now you realize it's my time to shine to unleash to be core and I will see you and yes, I'm talking to you in Nashville love ya
