blogging for beginners tips
You see it everywhere. Almost everyone has a blog now a days. I’m sure if you called your grandma SHE too might have a blog! Just kidding! Well if you are in any way involved in the internet marketing field or in any field that involves the internet chances are you have heard of the benefits of having a blog.
It may seem like it might be a lot of work to get started with a blog. Sure you have to get a domain, get web hosting, and setup wordpress. Then there’s getting themes and plugins. That may be overwhelming to some and might seem like a bunch of cash but it really isn’t all that hard. At the end of this article I will tell you a secret system that I use personally that helps me get all that done right away. And here you’ll learn a few tips on blogging for beginners.
Tip # 1 on blogging for beginners – Make your writing easy to understand
Many will say blog for quantity and others will say to blog for quality. I say both because remember the people that go to your blog are reading what you are blogging about. If it’s hard to read or understand they might not want to come back or they may not want to opt in to your list to get future updates on your blog. Your writing doesn’t have to be an award winning piece but just make it readable. I prefer to read blogs that aren’t professionally written, I like to read blogs as if the person was in front of me and just talking to me.
Tip # 2 on blogging for beginners – Update your blog frequently
Always update your blog on a daily basis. Depending on what your goals are make sure you are updating. What I mean by updating is writing fresh content to your blog. If your goal is to get as much visitors as possible then you have to write more often like at least once a day on your blog. At the same time if your goal is to just have content out weekly you can do that as well. Just as long as your updating your blog you’ll be fine plus google will see your blog as relevant since you update it.
Tip # 3 on blogging for beginners – Ask from others
Since there’s so many blogs out there you can ask for help from others. Say you visit a blog that you like and you see something that you like. You can always ask that person how they did that certain thing. Now I can’t guarantee they’ll reply back but if doesn’t hurt to ask. I know I’ve asked questions on their comments section but of course it’s after I provide a value packed comment!
Tip # 4 on blogging for beginners – Keep up with trending topics, what people like
Now you don’t have to be a news hawk and have it on at all times but when you hear something that everyone is talking about research that topic and write about it. For example the olympics just happened so writing about a blog post where you can fuse in the olympics would be a great idea cause it will cause people to read it. I know I’ve gotten some good ideas on blog post from things that have happen why I’m out and about.
Another please you can keep up with the news if usually your facebook feed. If something is going viral you will likely see it on your feeds several times. Blog about it!
Tip # 5 on blogging for beginners – Have goals in mind
Set real goals for your blog. What do you want to achieve with your blog. Is it for branding purposes. Do you want to be know as leader in your niche? Do you want to make money with your blog? Do you just want the blog for fun?
What ever your goals are set realistic ones. After that you can set an actual plan to achieve that goal. If you want to treat your blog like a business then treat it like one. If it’s just a hobby then by all means treat it like one as well.
Tip # 6 on blogging for beginners – Focus!
Blogging isn’t a 30 day thing were you will succeed right away. It’s a gradual thing. Focus on your task when you are working on your blog. Just because you wrote a blog post and people aren’t going to your blog doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. You have to continue the course and keep going.
If you are going to use blogging to make money online then you must FOCUS on blogging and maybe another thing. Because too many methods or techniques in your head will just overwhelm you and you won’t get anything done.
The key to blogging for beginners is to stick to your plan. Learn how to enjoy the process of creating blog post. Remember being recognized as a leader in your niche, making great amounts of money takes time and is an end result of hard work. Keep at it and before you know it you’ll be generating tons of traffic to your blog.
