Why Blogging Alone Doesn’t Work And Can KILL Your Business

The reality is that there is around 173 million blogs and a small percentage of those blogs get under a 1000 visitors a month. Those stats along are enough to scare you off running. However, let’s first take a look at why this is before you go running for the hills and give up on blogging. One reason blogging don’t work for most and Kill there business is because they give up within there first 3 months or so. The longer a human being works on a project without reward, the harder it is to keep doing it. You have to have plenty of patience when it comes to blogs. What you have to understand is that blogging is a long term solution. Also just writing content for your blog alone will not get you traffic, customers and leads.

The truth is if you don’t have a reader base for your blog what’s the point in making content. So the question is how do you get readers? Well you can use Facebook, Twitter and every other social media outlet out there. But again that will not be enough to get exposure for your blog and get readers. In my opinion, one of the best way’s to get more traffic and readers to your blog is to convince other blog owners to send traffic and readers your way. And in order to get a blog owner to send there readers your way, you better be creating content that is valuable and stands out among the noise and not regurgitate the same old stuff everybody else writes. Next you’ll have to figure out how to get your content rank on the search engines to get traffic. That requires knowing how to do some SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Like back linking, social engagement and commenting to name a few.

This my friends takes time to learn and most people won’t stay in the game long enough to learn it. My last reason why Blogging alone can Kill your business is that many people who get into Blogging are not aware that having just one way to market your business to generate traffic, leads and sales is a BIG MISTAKE! I personally learned this the hard way when I first started out online. Here’s a quick story. I was using only video marketing by itself to generate leads and it was working great until I woke up one day and went to log into my accounts a BAMMM they were all Closed Down. In one day I lost over 155 leads easy that I was generating a month. The lesson? Never depend on once source of traffic. You want to always be testing different traffic sources and have at least 2 to 3 different streams of traffic coming to you web sites. Now you have stability in your business.
