A subscriber replied to say the whole thing was dead and he should stop promoting it, and Joe LoBalsamo published the exchange rather than deleting it. His answer is not a defence of the company. It is a point about the person, who tried something briefly, and about how much energy gets spent discouraging other people afterwards.
His most useful post argues that writing alone will not carry a blog. There are millions of them, most see almost nobody, and the common failure is quitting inside three months because effort without any return gets harder every week. His conclusion is that this is a long project and that publishing has to be paired with something that brings people in.
The rest covers capture pages, landing pages that actually convert, and building a list.
Five posts. Read the blogging one before you commit to writing daily. It will save you the disappointment of the second month.
