Home Based Business Tips – Plan Your Day

One of the best home based business tips is to plan your next day before you go to sleep at night.  There reason for this is because your mind will think about these tasks during the night and be prepared to focus on completing them on schedule.

The best thing you can do is schedule the most important tasks first thing in the morning. You should be concentrating on completing money making or income producing activities. What you should not be doing is activities that cause you to lose concentration, such as checking Facebook messages, doing friend requests or even checking email… unless this directly helps in accomplishing your money making tasks.

One of the best Home Based Business tips is to ask yourself if what you are doing is going to lead to adding potential income, such as adding new people to your opt-in list or converting sales from the people on my list.

I know for example, that completing a daily blog post, producing a video, buying and submitting a solo ad are all daily activities that directly lead to increasing the advertising of my business, getting more leads and growing my business.  Therefore, these are the tasks that I need to focus on completing before I go off on another tangent.

Once you complete the daily tasks that are necessary to expand your business, then you can  spend time on secondary level activities like researching new advertising resources , updating your social media status and going through your email.

The benefit of getting done with your main or primary tasks is that they often are the most time consuming. Once completed they free up your time and lower stress level so that you  be more creative with the rest of your day.  This is important because there are often secondary tasks that still need attention, such as following up with clients and even taking the time for personal development and training.
