Most of us ladies out there need a bit of help with lengthening and elongating our eye lashes. But what is the best product out there to achieve this?
I have spent a lot of money of various different brand names after witnessing TV commercials, reading magazines or listening to others and believing the hype.
A top mascara should be price efficient, it should lengthen the lashes without them appearing clumpy or too false and they should curve the eyelashes too. I seem to have the same effect with mascaras as I do with foundations in the sense that I think I’ve found the perfect one then after a period of time the effect wears off. Not sure if I have the skin/eye lashes from hell but I’m starting to doubt my body now.
I haven’t yet ventured into the false eyelash game but I have brought some recently but I’ve been too scared to try them. Friends have tried them and have told me they look great and can last all day or all night but you have to find the ones that don’t look like you have 10ft lashes as these will look too loose. No one wants to look like Katie Price hey!
There are world-wide brands out there which make up junkies across the world know about. I suppose the most reputable brand is MAC as this is available across the universe. I have tried a couple of the mascaras from MAC and to be honest not one of them have been impressive but that could mean either (a) I am doomed and my eye lashes are hopeless or (b) the product isn’t great for everyone. But is there a product out there that can suit all types?
I suppose I am quite lucky as my eye lashes are quite long anyway but there’s no natural curve to them, I have to constantly use an eye lash curler. Again I struggle with eye lash curlers because when I first buy them I think “wow” they have really curved my eye lashes well and then after a few weeks the effect wears down. I do try to replace the “thingy-me-bob” thing that needs replacing but this still doesn’t do much good. I hope I am using them right in the sense that I curl my eyelashes first, then I put on mascara, then I use the eye lash curler again, then I put on more mascara and I might repeat this again depending on what effect I want to achieve. Maybe you shouldn’t use the eye lash curler on eye lashes that have already been coated in mascara but surely you can’t curl your eye lashes the once and then put on mascara and then the job’s done.
Avon are another world-wide brand that sells a huge range of mascaras. They seem to develop another type of mascara every week! I am an Avon representative and I do value and vouch for their products 100%. Their best mascara has been the one that vibrates. You simply turn the end and it vibrates which some how gives the lashes a great length and look. The thing is, I can’t seem to source that particular mascara now and that was the only one in my opinion that worked well on my lashes.
I’ve also used Model Co False Lash Effect mascara which Dannie Minogue co designed. I can definitely vouch for that product although you do have to be careful with applying it. You first put on the mascara and wait for it to dry. You then apply the fibre lashes which are white and bitty and can get in your eye if you’re not careful but the effect is tremendous. You can then apply more mascara afterwards. After using this product, many have commented on the length of my eye lashes and it does make me feel more confident. This product is available world-wide and although priced quite high at around £35 UK pounds, it’s definitely worth it and if you keep your eye on it across online stores, you can sometimes pick up a great deal.
