I found this to be very interesting when I came across this clip of Russell Brand Messiah Complex as he was discussing it on MSNBC. What made me want to share it was him making a mockery of the people at MSNBC by his surprising intellect that they couldn’t comprehend. I’m familiar with Russell Brand, and his short stint marriage to Katy Perry as well, but never would I have known how much of a sarcastic intellectual and I must say that I love it. It’s like he has a George Carlin British thing going on lol, but I like it. Russell Brand Messiah Complex is a comedy tour that he’s doing basically in different countries in the Middle East, U.S and Europe. When you see these type of acts it’s very refreshing because sometimes the hoopla isn’t needed and sometimes you just want to hear the truth. Russell Brand messiah complex in itself is an interesting title to call it and his description made it even more interesting. He said that Malcolm X, Che Gueverra, Buddha and Jesus and how these figures are significant culturally, being all people that stood for a cause and that posthumously their icons are used to desecrate meaning other than what they were intending. WOW! What a means for a comedy show that would be interesting to see, so if you can you may want to go see Russell Brand Messiah Complex. Brand says the show examines “the importance of heroes in this age of atheistic disposability.”

It was so clever at the insults he were throwing at the hosts but I don’t know if they didn’t know how to respond or wasn’t sure that they were being mocked and ridiculed, and that is a pleasure to see to those who view the world from a different type of lens with a “clearer focus”. During this tour, the 38 year old comedian will be performing in theaters but would also perform in drug rehabs, prisons, synagogues, mosques, organizations and pretty much anywhere that will have him. This tour kicks off in August in Abu Dhabi so if you see Russell Brand Messiah Complex it just may be worth checking out, if not live maybe on DVD if it makes it there. His FX show Brand X concluded last month.
