The journey path of your life
The journey path in life is something we must all travel. It is unique to everyone of us.Most of us cannot wait to get to the goal or the end point of the long journey path that we all take. It is always good to reach our goals, but it is always more important how we did along the way, in other words our journey path.
What can we learn?
There are many things that we can learn along the way to our goals. We can learn patience, endurance, knowledge; we can learn to budget our time, money, and decide what is more important and what is less important. The goal, itself, did not teach you all of these things, the journey path was the educator.
Your journey path may have taught you that good things may take time;they may take effort. Good things need to be evaluated and reevaluated, just like our goals need to be evaluated and reevaluated. You may find during this journey, that the goal has been modified or completely changed. It is this path that one must take that gives us the opportunity to fine tune our goals, find out more of our likes and dislikes. So people need to feel privileged and humbled to be on this path because of the many opportunities that are learned along the way.
Most people go to college because they want to get a job in a field they like. So the journey is the years of college and the end goal is the job. The value of this journey path may not be the actual educational courses you took; but the skills that were learned to succeed in classes. Those skills were time management, multitasking, working well with others in study groups or towards group projects, presenting, researching, and computer work. The college courses did not teach you these skills; these were skills you had to learn and refine along the way. These are all useful skills in the job market. So your journey path helped you to bring somethings of value to the employment world.
When you find yourself, impatient and wanting to reach your goal faster, remember all the skills you are gathering along the way. The journey path is unique to all and must be valued; your end goal will be more successful if the journey path presents many learned opportunities.
