My personal pet peeves!
Do not let pet peeves take over your life! Do not let those irritating things that bother you,interfere with your relationships. But this is my blog, so it is time to blow off some steam about some of my pet peeves. Writing things down is a good way to express yourself, and relieve some of the anger or steam building up over things that bother you.
So, here is my pet peeve number one! I live in a house with three males, two are my sons, and the other is my husband. I get upset when only one sheet of toilet paper is left for the next person. I am always that next person. I mean, come on! Can you not replace it with a new roll! Sometimes, I am so busy, I just get to the bathroom in the nick of time, and I do not check the toilet roll situation.
Being the only female in the house of three males, can leave me at a disadvantage. In the area of conversation, I am just not that versed in sports like the men in the house. I like to talk about a variety of things, so if it is conversation I am looking for, I need to get a hold of my friends and sisters. My sons and my husband do not like to use too many words, and if I start talking about something, they do not always contribute.
Another pet peeve I have deals with toothpaste. My sons love to leave their remnants of toothpaste on the bathroom counter or in the bathroom sink. There are always water spots on the bathroom mirror after they brush their teeth. Do they bother to clean up after themselves, they do not. Another ridiculous habit that I encounter is the toilet seat being left up. There have been countless times in the middle of the night, I have almost fallen in the toilet, when I went to sit down. Since, I am the minority in my house, I have been informed that they will not put the seat down.
Pet peeves or not, I have to get over the small things. What’s that saying…Don’t sweat the small stuff, it’s all small stuff, has become my motto. I have many more pet peeves, but unfortunately, I could go on and on. So I will let you take the time to blog or write in your journals, so you can sweat the small stuff there and let it go. I have to remember, what is more important in my life, my relationships, or my pet peeves.
