Dating relationships are complicated!
As one graduates from college, it becomes more difficult to have dating relationships. When I was in college, it was a dream come true. Guys were everywhere; and I could pick and choose who I went out with. Post college, dating can become more difficult. Here are some of the reasons, it becomes more difficult. You are out of the environment that puts you into contact with people of your own age. College was that environment.
When you get your first job, most likely you are going to be surrounded by various age groups. The people your own age may be involved with someone else, or they may not be someone you want to date. Considering you spend 40 hours a week or more working, that cuts in to your time of meeting someone new. So where do you find someone to date?
I do not know about you, but finding someone to date at the bar scene is not very appealing. First, you do not know much about this person, who may turn out to be very scary. So where are some of the safer places to meet people?
One of the best sources to meet a person to date is through your friends. Your friends know enough information about the other person to know that he/she is a safe person to date. I believe another safe place to meet people is through your health club. Figure you attend the club three to five times a week. It is possible to get to know various people of the opposite sex during your work out times. After going to the club, several months, and talking with people, you have a good sense about the other person.
Another great place to meet people, is through online dating services. You may think this is hokey; but after you have run through your friends date suggestions, health club acquaintances, you may find that you are more responsive to this idea. Online dating may be a great way to match you up with someone who shares various interests and ideals. You may just want to stick with several coffee dates, so that you get to know more about the person, before you take it further with the dating relationships. Coffee dates are safe, not expensive, and can be fun, if you find someone who is interesting to converse with. I believe a coffee meet is less stressful than a full fledged date. You can even arrange to meet that person at the coffee shop; without having one person responsible to pick the next person up at their house, apartment, or whatever. That way, you can stay as long as want at the coffee shop. If it is not working out, then you leave earlier.
As we get older, and our years from college are behind us, it becomes more and more difficult to meet people. So consider your friends suggestions, health club meets, and online dating sites to become sources of your dating relationships.
