Sharks Raining Down on a Golf Fairway and Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone

A live shark falling from the sky onto a golf course provides a wonderful metaphor for stepping outside your comfort zone

When you think of a Shark on a golf fairway you probably think of Greg Norman.

Until this morning, he was the only shark I associated with golf.

His nickname is “The Shark” after all.

And usually you don’t really associate sharks with golf, unless you are speaking of Greg.

But I came across this story this morning in a Christian magazine and found it amazing.

It is a pretty old story and many of you my have heard it before.

Apparently, a live shark rained down on a golf fairway of the San Juan Hills Golf Course not too long ago.

The 2 foot shark landed on the 12th fairway and was found alive.

Is this another sign of the apocalypse?

No.

Has there ever been a more visual example of Stepping Outside Your Comfort zone then seeing a ‘fish out of water?’

I am a visual learner.

I need to see things to process them.

And when you hear the tale of a shark landing from the sky, onto a golf course, you think of the expression a ‘fish out of water.’

Literally.

And is there a more visual example of stepping outside your comfort zone than to have a shark, which belongs in the water, land on dry land?

Now the theory on how this shark got there, is that a predator bird scooped it up out of the ocean.

And perhaps the shark won the struggle or the bird grew tired and dropped it.

And the San Juan Hills golf course is several miles from the ocean.

So that fish put up a fight.

And if you have ever been caught stepping outside your comfort zone, fighting is essential.

Anytime you fight for survival it can be scary.

So what happened to our shark friend?

When the shark landed on the 12th fairway, it was alive.

It had been scratched up and was bleeding from what responders think were talons.

The maintenance crew drove the fish back to the ocean.

And after a few seconds of adjustment, the 2 foot shark recovered, and swam off.

So this is a happy story.

And again a powerful metaphor….

….7 months ago I started my online business using this system.

I was not comfortable trading time for money.

I was not comfortable not living my dreams.

I was not comfortable seeing my wife only a few hours a week.

You see friends, my old life was already outside my comfort zone.

I actually stepped into my comfort zone when I followed these 3 simple steps that generates me money whether I am working or not.

And in doing so now, I can live my life on my terms.

I can create the life that my wife and I deserve to have.

And so can you.
