Here is a great realization for some of you…
You are perfect the way you are.
Funny thing is, I never considered Layla Black even remotely overweight.
And so this past weekend in Chicago, at the Empower Network “Get Money” event, when she and her husband Toby Black took the stage, I was not expecting what I heard.
And I immediately, was blown away at what Layla shared.
Have you ever struggled with weight loss?
I have.
Most of my life, I have dealt with this issue.
Now imagine going on stage and admitting in front of 5,000 people that you have.
And that is what Layla did.
Talk about an overweight person’s nightmare.
But was it?
It wasn’t a nightmare at all, it was someone stepping into their power.
Layla Black, stepped into her power in front of 5,000 people in Chicago.
Layla spoke from the heart and her courage and bravery touched me.
And her message was simple…
“You are perfect the way you are.”
Coming to terms that you are perfect the way you are, is not easy, but it will bring happiness
Layla Black said that when she was one of the top income earners at a nutrition and weight loss company, she was losing weight, and in top shape.
The company would ask her to model and take the runway in small bikinis.
And she associated happiness with being in top shape.
Layla shared onstage…
…a very simple concept, but one that is not always easily obtainable…
==> YOU are perfect the way you are.
It doesn’t matter if you are a size 6 or a size 12, God knows you are perfect the way you are.
Layla’s lesson is simple but not always easy to obtain (it takes practice).
Love yourself, your perfect self.
- Know that you are in in the right place at the right time.
- YOU are beautiful.
- Stop beating yourself up.
- And be the person you were meant to be.
At least that is what I took away from it.
Most of my life I have struggled with being overweight.
I have gained and lost the same 50 pounds, for what seems like, most of my adult life.
And I am sometimes, not comfortable in my own skin.
And that is something I will continue to work on.
Layla Black’s lesson, you are perfect the way you are is simple, but not always easy.
Often times, we see our leaders as these cyborg, unstoppable, income producing terminators.
They were just dropped down on Earth, from a different universe, and took over the network marketing world.
But these leaders are human.
They bleed if you cut them.
They cry when they are happy or sad.
And they have struggles just like you and I do.
And that is good.
That is what makes them so successful.
We can relate to them.
And when you hear someone admit they are perfect just the way they are, and mean it…
…You just have to applaud that.
I love Layla Black for her courage.
It takes some major ‘lady balls’ to do what she did.
I think the reason I love Empower Network so much is everyone is welcome here.

I was listening to an audio yesterday, during my walk.
David Wood was talking about people that were afraid to be authentic on video.
And they were always trying to be someone they were not.
And he said something profound (when does he not):
“We need you, the authentic you, because that is what is missing right now in the marketplace.”
(or something like this)
YOU are the only YOU in the world.
Think about that.
No one can beat YOU at being YOU.
And if you are not sharing your unique self, the world is being robbed.
Release your inner badass and get started.
Stop robbing the world of your many talents.
