In this video Jim Rohn says that the 21st century or the New Millennium is an amazing time filled with great opportunities. Then, he goes on to present what you need to do to be successful in this century.
Rohn gives two very thought-provoking and inspiring quotes early in the presentation:
“If you work hard on your job you can make a living. If you work hard on yourself you can make a fortune.”
“Success is something you attract by becoming an attractive person. Success is not something you pursue. It’s what you attract by becoming attractive to the marketplace.”
Then, he asks what would make you attractive and he spends a large part of the video telling you what would make you attractive. Two of the things heal talks about early in the video are:
- “Multiple skills”
- “Multiple languages”
Then, he notes: “Each person’s income is determined by their philosophy, not by the economy. You only have to go to work on yourself to make yourself more valuable.” And you being valuable and providing value must be an important part of your philosophy.
Also he notes that your personal philosophy can change your mindset by improving it. For example, earlier in your life you might have never attended a seminar or learning development lecture such as this one.
However, time and rethinking have changed your mind so that you figure if you attend and take away one useful thing from such a learning opportunity, it will be well worth the time spent. Your mindset has changed from negative to positive in this case.
