If you are thinking about starting an Internet business it is important to look at your mindset. Do you have the correct mindset to start online business? What skills do you already possess and what are some skills that you can develop that have a direct impact on succeeding with your online business or failing.
How To Get The Correct Mindset To Start An Internet Business
The first is by listening to audio. One of the best places to get great audios is in the Empower Network Inner Circles. The other is by reading. This is should be done everyday for at least 15 minutes if not longer. Two books I highly recommend reading are Think and Grow Rich! by Napoleon Hill, and The Greatest Salesman In The World by Og Mandino. Much of the skill that I cover in this blog post is straight from The Greatest Salesman In The World by going through a short summary of the ten scrolls.

As you can tell some of the scrolls are to build self-confidence and positive thinking. Other scrolls go over helping grow or develop areas of mindset that people need who are starting an internet business.
Even if you are not trying to start an internet business, this book can make a huge impact on your life. Matthew McConaughey credits this book for turning his life around. Even still gives this book to people he thinks that could use it. (Read His Story)

The scrolls are about 2-3 pages, but if you follow the way you are supposed to read the scrolls it will take you 10 months to read all the scrolls. The reason this takes so long is that you spend 30 days reading one scroll three times a day.
While all the scrolls are important there are 4 that stand out to me. The very first is habits. While all past decisions bring us to where we are today, many of those decisions are based on our habits. Some of our habits are good other not so good.
If you have tried to change your habits, you know how hard this can be. That is what the whole point of reading three times a day is to develop a good habit. The books go over some other reasons for doing this.
Starting An Internet Business Needs Persistence.
This is one of the most important parts of anything you do in life, persistence. A part of this persistence is learning from others who are doing what you want to do. Learning those skills from people who are already successful.
The one great thing about an online business is you do not fail until your quit. Anything in life that is worth something will require persistence.
This is from Scroll 3:
“Henceforth, I will consider each day’s effort as but one blow of my blade against a mighty oak. The first blow my cause not a tremor in the wood, nor the second, nor the third. Each blow, of itself, may be trifling, and seem of no consequence. Yet from childish swipes the oak will eventually tumble. So it will be with my efforts today.”
The next part is action.
With action, everything is worthless. This is one part why I think many affirmations fail. Many will do affirmations, but never act on them. They view affirmations as a wish of what they want to be like in the future, but never take action.
This is single most important part of this blog post. You must must must take action. Without action starting an online business is worthless.
I will leave you with the final scroll with the salesman prayer asking for guidance.

Bathe me in good habits that the bad ones may drown; yet grant me compassion for weakness in others. Suffer me to know that all things shall pass; yet help me to count my blessings today.
Expose me to hate so it not be a stranger; yet fill my cup with love to turn strangers into friends.
But all these things be only if thy will. I am a small and a lonely grape clutching the vine yet though hast made me different from all others. Verily, there must be a special place for me. Help me. Show me the way.
Let me become all you planned for me when my seed was planted and selected by you to sprout in the vineyard of the world.
Help this humble salesman.

If you are starting an Internet business, it is important to have the correct mindset. Without the correct mindset, you will not reach the goals.
