One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.

My magical moment

I agree with Master Oogway, and I have experienced this a few times.  This happened to me, and not too long ago.  I tried to run from a situation to find myself face to face with it.

Last year, I was at work thinking of ways to supplement my income.  Because I know that my worth is far more than my circumstances.  I have always known this, even as a child I knew that I was destined for greatness.  Well, anyway I was at working thinking of ways to supplement my income.

I thought about getting a second job, but I didn’t want to spend any more time away from my daughter.  Since she is in high school, I recognized that our time is limited.  She will be ready to move out and begin her life before I know it.  So spending more time out of the house was not an option.  This was the discussion I had in my mind day in and day out.

So I get home, and my phone rings.  I answer the phone and my Aunt tells me that she came across this awesome business opportunity and she paid for my membership.  I didn’t know what it was, but I knew it was a way for me to make some extra cash.  And I knew she wouldn’t sign me up for anything negative.  So I was all in.

I spoke to my Aunt’s sponsor, and she told me what the business was about.  I was selling travel packages, and coffee, and shopping sites.  I knew that  I was going to rich.  I made a decision at that moment that I was going to succeed.  So I told everyone.  My lawn guy, my insurance and real estate agent, my friends, and coworkers.  I was a mad women…in a good way of course.

The deal was if I recruited three people, and I would get a 500.00 power team bonus.  I got on all of the conference calls, and purchased all of the books.  After work, I would drop my daughter off at home, and wander up and down Walmart gathering phone numbers.  On my lunch break, I even wandered up and down the street getting numbers from strangers.  I was determined to win.

So this was my first breakthrough, I always thought I could never be good at selling, but I made up my mind to succeed.  This was completely out of character for me.  My magic moment was that I could actually  talked to strangers about my business, and got them so intrigued that the would give me their phone number.  And even sometimes answer the call.

Since I am techy, I decided to direct my attention to the Internet.  My sponsor was an awesome sales person, but not very techy.  So I decided to find someone who was.  I found my Empower Network sponsors.  I joined their primary company at the time, and they eventually set up a private facebook  group for the Empower Network Launch.

Again, I didn’t quite understand what the Empower Network was, and my sponsors weren’t clear either, but they told me to get all in.  And I trusted them, after all they went from struggling to succeeding on the internet, so I figured they had something to teach me.

My Second Magical Moment

Because of the first opportunity, I knew that I could recruit my warm market, if I just got out there and spoke to them, but I didn’t know how to recruit anyone online, or outside of my friends and family.  So I decided to make a decision.  I got all in and decided to learn the skills.  I eventually did a JV with Bob Beckett.  I found him while surfing on the web.  I came across Daegan Smith’s Maximum Leverage site.  There was an interview on the site and he was explaining how he had such a huge list, and he could make large sums of money by sending emails to his list.  So I sought out his website, and sent him an email.

I wasn’t sure if he would respond to me, but he did.  I paid him 500.00 to send an email to his list marketing my Empower Network link.  and Guess What?  I got over 300 leads in a day, and a few sales too. And  to top it off, I made the leader board.  I never, ever, ever imagined I would make the Leader board.

A little later my sponsors joined another business opportunity, and focused on their new business.  So I jumped from thing to thing looking for a leader to Mentor me.  I forgot that I was the leader, but I jumped from opportunity to opportunity looking for a leader to show me the WAY.

Third Magical Moment

I never left the Empower Network, because the training and product was just so real.  As I  wandered around the internet, I learned a lot.  I learned that I love marketing, I also learned that I have what it takes to make millions working for myself.  This was the best of all my magical moments because it empowered me that I can be wealthy.

Through this call I’ve been introduced to Think and Grow Rich, The Science of Getting Rich, and so many other power books that have stretched my mind that we all are capable of living life beyond our wildest imaginations.

While chasing my shiny objects, each time I marketed the Empower Network, I got results, whether it was leads, signups or wisdom.  So my final break through moment was when I made a decision.  I made a decision to take my Empower Network business opportunity seriously, and I  know that I made  a good decision.

If it wasn’t for my Aunt sponsoring me into that first opportunity, I may not be posting this blog right now.  So you see, all of these magical moments have brought me here today.  I hope you got a good message from reading this post.  Remember you are the leader!
