Sales Positions, Traveling, Starting A Family And Being “All In”

Hello

My name is Leonard Jessie Creel Jr and I’m from a small town outside of Baltimore, MD.

I used to be a guitar builder and a musician, but making guitars didn’t work out, and neither did playing them.  So I went through a period of frustration and confusion and all this happened while I was starting a family.

I got married and had a daughter.  While my wife was pregnant I went through a couple different sales organizations.  I chose the profession because I didn’t need a formal education to work and succeed like the people who were making all the money.

But, I had no clue what I was doing.  I frustrated and angered the people I worked for, and had difficulties selling anything.

Although I didn’t completely realize it at the time, I was going through a transformation.  I still felt as if f I could just figure out things a little more that I would be able to sell more stuff. And I had to figure out how to sell more stuff so I could afford to give my wife and my family the life they deserve, no matter what happened.

So I went about the business of figuring out what I was going to do.  I tried a few more sales positions but I struggled.  Looking back on this, this is what I can tell you that might save you some of the hardships I went through.

First, no one had ever explained to me about the concept of being “all in”.

One of the positions I held was exclusively on the road.  It was a traveling job.  I would go from town to town staying in hotel rooms, and I would go to the appointments in that town set for me by the company.

I remember looking at my bank account and things were getting nearer and nearer to have no resources to even continue to drive from town to town.  Right as I was about to bottom out I made a sale.  And then I made another one.

I was about 6 thousand dollars richer because I made the decision to keep going.

I hadn’t realized it at the time, but just by continuing to do the things it takes to have success, by going “all in” in your yourself and in your business, you can have success.

Being All In is also more than just financial.  It takes the kind of will akin to that of the sun coming up in the morning.  It takes a mental an emotional and yes, even a spiritual commitment that money is a good thing and that you are living your life on purpose.
