OMG MEGALODON!!!

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

What is Megalodon?

Megalodon (“Big Tooth” in Greek) is a so thought extinct species of shark. They lived around 1.5 million years ago, they got up to around 60ft long (15-20 meters), Megalodon is said to be the largest and most powerful predators in vertebrate history!

Though they are said to be extinct, just last night, Monday August 5th 2013, on Discovery channels Shark Week, they had a section on the Megalodon and they are saying that it is not so, they had an hour long piece on T.V that to me was fairly convincing, I mean they set up an entire bait operation with 5 miles of blood and bait bits, with a fake whale and a whale distress noise ringing underwater.

If you watch the video, (I would post it on here but you unfortunately have to pay to watch it online), they had a ton of sharks on the sonar, smaller sharks, and all of a sudden they were all gone, and their boat got hit and smashed around, then the transmitter tag crew got on the boat to head to the cage and it got pulled under with them in it, but the girl managed to shoot the tagged harpoon into the shark, with a faint shadow seen on the camera.

They were checking the transmitter that shows you where the tagged shark is going, and it dove down over 6,500 ft. under water, which not many marine life can go to that depth. The transmitter was built to withstand around 5,000 feet and the depth the Megalodon went trashed the transmitter, hey who knows, that could be his hide out!

What are my thoughts on the new Megalodon arrival?

I don’t know, maybe I’m one of the gullible ones, but to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if it were fake, then again I wouldn’t be surprised if it were real either, it’s not like we can see at those kind of depths, we don’t know what goes on down there.

Here is a Video from Discovery.

There are forums explaining how it is fake, but there’s going to be those, and there will be ones that explain how it’s real, I just want to see the thing with my own eyes, I think that would just be totally awesome!

For my final decision on the Megalodon show up, I would say I think it’s real, at least I think it is, that’s just my opinion, I may be wrong, I may be right.

Here is a video that discovery posted, said to be a Megalodon attack on a boat in Cape Town, South Africa.

Well who knows, Is Megalodon out there?

Well we shall wait and see if the discovery channel can back up what they’re doing, or if anybody else, a nature or TV show, I would love to see this thing, I can tell you that. Megalodon had been around for a long time before, what’s to say they aren’t still around now? Who knows, maybe Discovery did go full retard…
