Every month tens of thousands of people invest their hard-earned money to join a network marketing company with the hopes of earning a few extra dollars working part-time from the comfort of their home.

By the end of their third month in business, 70% or more pull the plug and quit; often in worse financial shape than when they started.

As an example, your company could hand out DVDs that contain a grand presentation which will, in itself, generate interest in your product or opportunity. If you want to give these DVDs out and do nothing else, they would be pretty much pointless because the idea is not only to give away free DVDs, but to collect information from folks who’ve seen these DVDs; and have shown an interest in your products, services, or opportunity, and want to learn more.

So, with this tool (the DVDs), you also need a reliable system in place to collect the information of those who are interested and want more details.

The biggest income producer in your company could offer the greatest webinar as a sponsoring tool, but who is going to watch it if you do not have a good system in place that will tell people about it, and also provide a way for those interested to register? This would allow you to get their contact information so that you can follow up with them.

Here is a Complete Marketing System

A system is a collection of uninterrupted steps designed to produce a desired result. A good network marketing system for lead generation, as an example, may include 6 steps, and if lead generation is being done online, these steps could be taken:

1) A target market must be identified by using specific tools to analyze that market, and those people should have a want or need for your service or opportunity. For example, “internet marketing newbies”.

2) The precise words and phrases (referred to as keywords) used within a selected niche have to be analyzed using keyword analysis tools. For example “network marketing opportunities”.

3) By using the necessary tools you can then figure out how many internet pages, articles, adverts, and blog entries are competing for these particular search phrases, and then go for a term or keyword that will give you the highest chance of success (ranking on the first page in the major search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo).

4) Articles that provide solutions to people’s issues should then be written, either by you or outsourced to a good writer.

5) Your articles should then be promoted by distributing them to article directories, blogs, and social media sites. You can also submit your articles to other services that will distribute them for you, to save time and reach a wider audience.

6) You should also promote your articles and content by pinging the url, using social bookmarking, and by securing a diverse amount of backlinks.

The above shows the steps that are contained in a complete online network marketing system, it is a series of steps designed to produce a desired result. In the above example, the steps have been designed and used to get a new webpage to rank in the popular search engines, using specific keywords that are directed at a particular and purposely chosen target market.

When the system is followed correctly and completely the result will be a tidal wave of highly targeted traffic to your website. On your website you will also want to have in place another series of steps or a system to gain the interest of your potential customers, which will encourage and guide them to opt in to receive further information about your product, service, or opportunity.
