Life Of Pi Movie Review: Face Your Bengal Tiger

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Who Is Your ‘Richard Parker’?

It had to be one of the best movies I have ever watched.  In my personal top 5 for sure.

In short, the Life Of Pi Movie Review is a magical story about facing your own tiger.  I found myself sitting at the edge of the seat, watching young Pi spend days taming and becoming one with the mighty tiger named Richard Parker.

Its compelling and fascinating to me…digging deep inside my soul to find out who, what, and where my biggest fear is. (my journey still continues)   This is exactly what the Life of Pi and his journey floating across the Pacific Ocean is about.

On the outside it’s as if Pi is fighting for his life…However.  Looking deeper, and as the story unfolds.  Pi, and Richard Parker slowly being to form an incredible bond.  A mutual appreaciative frienship and respect for one another.   Richard Parker became Pi’s reason…His purpose to live. (Although…Richard Parker may have always been Pi’s purpose for that part of his life as he was raised on a zoo and  even took care of Mr. Parker)

It eludes to a very unique principal of life: What Is Purpose…. and What is Your Purpose?  Would Pi have given up without the mighty Bengal Tiger to care for?

Without giving all the juicy details away and re-writing the movie (or book)…Pi comes to a conclusion that he is the tiger and richard parker is him.   Meaning that within each and every soul, within every living animal, creature, human resides something within ourselves that is a mirror.

A reflection of the complete opposite of our regular personality, yet still within our soul.

Within you lies incredible potential.  Opening that potential can start with moving towards your greatest fear. Sometimes that fear is hidden deep inside you and other times you’ll know exactly what, where, and how to find it. Step into your fear and begin to Tame Your Tiger.

The Life of Pi Movie was incredible.
