Highlights on the New Grand Theft Auto 5 Video Game
On 25 October 2011, Rockstar changed the logo of Grand Theft Auto V, in which the “V” had a style like a bank note. Below the logo, they said that a trailer will be released on 2 November 2011. On 2 November 2011, Rockstar showed the trailer for the game GTA V. The trailer showed that the action will be in Los Santos, and that the game has some new features such as golf, planes, jet, skis and others. The game will probably be a successor of the GTA San Andreas. The trailer used as song the Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces. On 3 November 2011, Rockstar announced that GTA V is in full development and it will be the most ambitious game from Rockstar.
Rockstar said that the storyline, open world freedom, online multiplayer will be improved. On 14 November 2012, Rockstar Games released another trailer for the game and said that the game will be launched in spring 2013. The second trailer shows the three playable characters, city of Los Santos and a lot of vehicles. In the trailer we can see dogs, and a Jeep that drives off a plane while two trains collide. Rockstar announced that he game will take place in a world larger than three games combined. The three games are GTA 4, San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar also showed some story spoilers about the plot and the characters.
The game will take place in Los Santos and it is based on present day Southern California. GTA V will have three characters such as Trevor, Franklin, Michael and they will have their own personality, skill set and will contribute differently to the overall story. Trevor is the character that was involved in criminal activity while being a drug addict. He was a former military pilot, a very violent person and in the past he worked a bank job with Michael. Franklin is an ambitious hustler and works for an Armenian luxury car dealership. He sells cars to people that are incapable of affording them and when they can’t pay up he will be sent as repo man. Franklin meets up with Michael while looking for a hustle. Michael is a retired bank robber and he retired in luxury because he made a deal with the FBI. He is currently in witness protection program and has different problems with his family. Michael can’t understand his two kids and he is obligated to go back into the game because soon he won’t have any money.
Rockstar announced that the game will be launched in spring 2013, and recently the company said that the game will appear after March. Rockstar released some screenshots taken from Grand Theft Auto V highlights, and we can see in those different types of transportation. In one picture we can see that there can be used bicycles, and in the background there is a pier that looks like Santa Monica Pier. In another picture we can see a car that is called “Cheeta” and it will probably be the faster car in the game. A picture shows a fighter jet because Rockstar increased the variety of airplanes and the space for flying.
