Genuine Work From Home Opportunities That Actually Work

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Genuine work from home opportunities are dead?

Have you ever tried to make some extra cash but always struggled to find a genuine work from home opportunity? Believe me when I say I’ve had my fair share over the years.

Most of the time we find biz opps that have flashy sales pages that you can read for hours and eventually give in to only to find it really wasn’t what you were looking for. My vision has actually worsened over the years of reading through these.

But how do you filter out the crappy ones from the genuine work from home businesses? For one it’s a lot of trial and error. From my experience the low budget one usually give out crappy commissions. You get what you pay for right?

Another tip to find a genuine work from home business is to read a lot of reviews in home business forums. Granted you have to take each person’s view and just place it in your consideration file because frankly there are people who are too lazy to even try to build a real business.

Which genuine work from home business is right for me?

It’s entirely on what your preferences are. For myself and a lot of people traveling is a big thing. One thing I’ve always wanted to do while building my business is to travel to as many places as I could.  It’s absolutely important that you choose a business that fits your lifestyle and/or dreams for the future. Nothing kills a business more than you losing passion for it.

Take time to write down what you want to do with your business. Do you want to give back? Pay off debts? Travel to exotic places?? Weigh your options and go all in when you do make your decision.

A nugget of wisdom for the serious entrepreneurs…

In the years I’ve made a side income, the number one obstacle was always enough cashflow to expand. There were a number of reasons for that:

  1. I wasn’t passionate about my business
  2. Commission checks were slow to get in
  3. Poor leadership
