Opportunities to Make Money
All money making opportunities are not created equally. Further, even the best opportunities are not necessarily good for all people.
If you are looking to make some extra spending cash during the holiday season or if you are looking to make substantial income for years to come, you will need to acquire the skills necessary to evaluate and assess the opportunities that are presented to you.
Below is a roadmap for finding and assessing money making opportunities.
Finding Opportunities
Start with a Web Search – Now, a lot of people assume that once they have found an opportunity on the web, there work is done. The initial web search serve to get the juices flowing and the ideas in the process of working. However, this is only 2% of the work that is required and only serves as an idea initiation machine and not as the final product. This search is best for getting some initial ideas.
Find Insider Information – This is probably not what you are thinking. My definition of insider information comes from a competitive advantage that is obtained by doing something that somebody is unwilling to do. Most people are unwilling to pick up a phone and make a phone call to get the information that they desire. They assume that there success should come from doing things that are simple and easy to implement. However, the fact of the matter is that the success comes from doing things that are uncomfortable until they become somewhat comfortable.
Obtaining insider information simply means doing things that others are unwilling to do and doing it more often. They may just be working harder than other people every day.
However, keep in mind that is not required that you do a ton more. It just requires that you ado a little bit more than you competition.
Practice Basic Manners
The difference between success and failure can come down to some of the basic manners that you learned as a child.
This can mean any of the following –
1. Basic Manners Taught as a Child
2. Be Polite
3. Be On Time
4. Communicate with the Other Person’s Interests Ahead of yours – This simply means allowing others the privilege of knowing that you do care about their interests and are willing to weigh there interests ahead of your own or at least on the same level as your interests.
Identify What Works Today
This is the final key. You need to know what is working today, or, more importantly, what s not working today.
Find a reference – This can be a person that you speak to or a person whose story that you can read online (preferably somebody that you can speak to.)
It is critical that this person is a current practitioner and not somebody who was doing what you want to know many years ago. You need the lessons that you are learning to be current and applicable today.
If you can find a reference who just started with the opportunity recently, then you can get the true picture of what it is going to take for you to be successful.
