Jennifer Lee

Getting traffic from online radio interviews and podcasts is a route almost nobody writes about, and Jennifer Lee gives it a whole post. It assumes you are willing to talk to somebody rather than only to publish, which is why most people skip it.

Her series drawing business lessons from baseball runs across several numbered parts and works better than it sounds, because the sport supplies concrete situations rather than abstractions.

Outsourcing gets two posts, and the second is the useful one, on how to make a single contractor produce like several rather than simply hiring more of them.

The blogging advice keeps returning to two things: keep the subject narrow, and keep showing up. She points out that hundreds of blogs failed for every one that worked, and that the failures were usually serious people who underestimated the work.

Read the radio post if you have run out of traffic ideas, and the consistency one if you have run out of enthusiasm.
