The tips mentioned in this blog post will give you a little boost on how to eat less. If there is something that is difficult to deal with in most people’s lives is food control. Almost everyone eats much more than they need.

Good thing that there are a ton of things you can to do eat less. First of all, I’ll start by throwing out the notion about eating 6 small meals per day. Although this sounds great, it will not help you with your problem.

You see, deep down  your problem is that you eat too much. Most of use have this problem today. That’s one of the reasons obesity has become an epidemic. Of courese, the foods you eat has a LOT to do with that as well.

But lets go ahead and focus on practical things you can do right now to help learn how to eat less.

Tips On How To Eat Less

Tip #1

Drink sufficient water. This is one of the best things you can do right away. One of the key things that happens often is that people don’t drink sufficient water.

As a matter of fact, experts say that people are so dehydrated that they mistake hunger for thirst.

Tip #2

Eat a fruit before you eat. We all know that overeating is sometimes caused by eating when we are starving. So instead of diving right into the food, eat a fruit to calm down the hunger.

This will not only help your hunger but it will give you a great boost of vitamins that are much needed by your body.

Tip #3

When you are done eating, immediately leave the place where you ate. If you ate in the kitchen, wash your plate get out of the kitchen fast. This will help your mind avoid focusing on more foods and will help your attention turn to something other than food.

If its at work or any other place of food, simply leave the area. Trust me. In the past I learned the longer I lingered around food after I ate I tended to eat little junk food and “desert” that was laying around.

Tip #4

Take a walk after you are done eating. Again, this will help with you not focusing on food and will help you focus on other things. But more importantly, its a great way to get your digestive system going.

Your system will actually digest better if you just go for a walk after a meal. It kind of makes all the food fall into place in your stomach.

Tip #5

Never, ever go to the super market hungry. Although this may sound irrelevant, it makes perfect sense. As far as I can remember, every time I went to the super market to buy groceries when I was hungry, I always bought more than what I needed.

And I always ate more than what I wanted when I got home. So do yourself a favor and avoid doing this like you would be trying to avoid a heart attack.

You can be sure that when you learn how to eat less that you will begin to feel better every day.
