Start small to go Big!

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

I was in the middle of some personal stuff when I decided to change the things a little bit. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but fortunately I had a successful experience with internet marketing in the past, by using Google Adwords to promote my campaign.

But the sad part and when I really got frustrated was one day, when without any announcement they cut me off and I just didn’t get it. I was doing the promotion, selling products and making money as an affiliate, not big money, but I could experience success and I have to tell you, it is a great feeling. But one day they just gave me an ultimatum, and the underline message, at least to me, it was that they are not interested in helping the small guys anymore.

But ok… after that issue, I decided to take a different direction, because we have to move on after all, so I was compelled to create my own product, but this is a little complicated and get the product done is just the beginning. Now I am in the middle of this process, but there’s a lot of work to be done yet. That’s I know for sure.

With this other project already started up, I started looking for another opportunity to increase my income, reason why I decided to initiate this project. And I work full time from home, but not for option. I had my degree but after graduation I just lost some of the excitement that surrounded me during the years in the university. But the big reason that makes me change was a misconception that I had about my own dreams. It’s said that big changes start with small steps and this happened with me, because one day I realized that the life I wanted were not the life I was pursuing and if you are not pursuing your dreams you can burry yourself because you are dead. That was always one of my beliefs.

But based on my latest experience on the internet, I was certain about one thing: I couldn’t count on paid traffic as my main source of visitors for my website; I needed different streams of traffic to make the business work. No doubt about that. And I am always committed with my goals, reason why despite of the lack of encouragement that I faced when I decided to move on with this internet thing, I was able to make some money.

I always loved to read about internet marketing, I know who the big gurus in the market are, and in certain way you end up perceiving how they think. But what I learned in the hard way, it was that these big gurus are not ideal for who are just starting. And if you don’t have the time, you definitely don’t need this sort of information, at least not at the beginning. And another thing that I decided to do different at this time, it was to start the things on my own.

I like to work with a partner, it’s good for split the costs but sometimes you don’t have the autonomy you desire, but to make that happen I had to choose something cheap that I could afford but not free, because I wanted to feel committed. So now, I’m starting with this system, the Empower Network, and I’m really committed to turn this in another successful experience.
