Keeping It Simple

I get a lot of emails in a day.  Some are from marketers that really do not get the whole marketing thing.  These are usually the newbies.  You can usually tell.  I also get a lot of the emails from industry leaders in both the internet marketing and MLM marketing fields.  Now you might wonder why I would want to put myself through reading all these emails.  Well there is a method to my madness.  I am basically studying copywriting styles, but that is for another post.

Anyway, as I was going through my emails today and reading some of the blogs that I go through.  Yes, I do a lot of reading.  They all seemed to have a common theme today.  See I am seeing a lot of themes in my life lately.  This is one of the reasons that I feel I am on the right path.  I always get my information in big burst.  It has always been this way for me.

Okay back to the theme for the day.  I bet you can guess what it is.  That is right keep it simple.  The fact that in that no matter what industry you fall under that everyone tries to make this much harder than it actually is.  You see it all the time.

Getting To Basics

Now I can hear you.  But I have been doing this for such and such and it is not easy.  No I did not say it was easy.  I said it was simple.  And therein lies the problem.  People confuse the two.  They think that if something is simple it is going to be easy or that it needs to be ramped up in some way because simple really never works.  WRONG.

So how do you get back to the basics?  In the beginning most of the time you have to forget everything you already know.  See you need to leave all your doubts and passed failures and even successes out of it.  Most businesses that you take on have their own system.  If you are too busy comparing and looking for flaws or ways to short cut then you are not learning.

See most systems have already been proven to work.  That is why they are the system of the company that you have taken on.  So unless you are already running with the Gurus then you do not know everything about this business.  And I will guarantee you that if you ask any of them they will tell you that they do not know everything either.  And if you study them for any amount of time they will share that with you.

So unless you are one of these hard hitters with all the experience then take the time to work the system that you have been given.  If you are not succeeding chances are you are not working the system.  It is not that these systems don’t work; it is that people don’t put the work in.

Okay, okay.  I am not in any way calling you lazy, but come on let’s get down to the hard core truth of it.  If you are not working the system the way it was intended and doing it consistently for the time that it takes. (Most companies that is 2 to 4 years, more on that in a minute)  Then you have been trying to do it your way and it is not working.

You are riding a dead horse and no amount of whipping is going to get that sucker on his feet again.  It is time to start over and take a look at what you should be doing and where you have veered off course.

So What Makes Something Simple

One of the first things you want to look for is if your system duplicates.  Meaning if you can do it can someone else.  The biggest problem when people go off on doing something other than the system taught, their team cannot follow or reproduce their results.  This leads to failure for the team and you lose out.

Next are there specific steps and instructions to follow.  Do this, go here, say this are the type of things that most newbies are going to need.  If there is not a list of things they need to do and an order to do them in, then most people feel lost.  And they feel less than confident in the fact that they can do it. That equals failure.

Are there results?  If you are joining a company has the system given proven results?  Social proof that your company’s system works is needed.  Not just for you but for your marketing and recruiting purposes as well.

So if you get a system that is proven to work and it is something you can do and train others to do, then what?  Well work it of course.  Follow the steps, do the system.  It takes time, do not expect instant gratification.  But don’t go off the rails in 30 days either and start looking for something new or you will never get to the success that you want.

Finding The Right System Brings Results Faster

So you are sitting there after this and thinking. “Great I have to work this system for two years to see if I am going to get the results that I want.  I thought this was going to happen much faster than this.  When I joined with so and so they said.”

Here are the cold hard facts that your company does not tell you.  That most of the times when they tell you to sign up say three people, they are not talking about getting just three people.  They are talking about getting three people that are as committed to finding the movers and go getters just like you are.

That is not the case with all systems and products and it really depends on the model that you are working with.  I know of two models right now that work very well.  And one of the companies I am not even in, but they are exploding right now.

So why am I not in the company you might ask?  I am allergic to the product.  It is that simple. I believe in being a product of the product and I cannot use this product.  If you are curious about it, then leave me a message on Facebook and I can hook you up with some of the best people in that company.  I am friends with a ton of them.

The other is the Empower Network.  This company has grown so fast that it is amazing.  It has had its ups and downs and weathered the storm.  And in just a little over 7 months we have 4 members that are on track to earn a million dollars or more this year.  We have over 34,000 members.  Seriously what other company has done something like that.  None that I know of have even come close.  Just check out the proof for yourself.

It is things like this that get me excited.  This was on July 4th a holiday for us here in the states guys.  I mean seriously while everyone was having fun and I was relaxing and working on blog post, I got this in my email.

I mean seriously on a holiday ya’ll I was making money and I did not have to do any extra work for it. I followed the system. Trust me.)  It was something I was already doing.  Where else can you make money in your sleep, during holidays, or even while you are out to play with family and friends.
