Ever had an Identity Crisis in your life?

I did, but I didn’t realize it until this past weekend in Denver.

I was at a company event that ended with a 2 day Prosperity Team Mastermind Training and part of the training was about learning how to tell your story on video.

We were given an assignment to do a quick video sharing our story and had about 2-3 minutes to do it.  After I did my video, my exercise partner told me I said something wrong in the beginning of my video.

Part of the assignment was to send this video to the instructor and it would be promoted because we completed the assignment.  I was crushed, I thought I had made a mistake….

Did you catch the moment my identity crisis happened?

I said “I used to be a retired police sergeant”. lol

Truth is, I technically still am a retired police sergeant but I’ve been going through some transformations over the last few months in my business and in my life and I no longer relate to that title.

Yes….while building an online business, I have transformed personally more than my business to be honest.  This is when I knew my success is an inside job.

This is who I used to be:

My Squad New Years Eve on the Las Vegas Strip 2007

Now, don’t get me wrong….

I loved my job and enjoyed the daily adrenaline rush (guess I’m an adrenaline junky) and really had an outstanding squad of officers.

Thing is…after leaving that career field in 2008 to care for my elderly sick mother, I was no longer part of that world.  If you are, or were,  member of Law Enforcement, you get this. I remember feeling in limbo for a couple of years and not really belonging to either side.

Freudian slip that I said “used to be”?  I don’t think so

Identity Crisis ended this weekend when I met my inner self again, discovered who I am, who I want to be, and who I will become.  It was an incredible feeling!

Honestly during a couple of self hypnosis exercises I was brought to tears because I became aware of the incredible power I have to change not only my life, but the lives of many others.

This video exercise happened afterwards.

Identity Crisis over – this is who I have become now!

This past weekend I hung out with leaders because you are who you spend your time with. Right?

Prosperity Team leaders

I have never been so happy and excited about my future as I am after leaving this event.  Sure, I learned a lot of great marketing strategies, made a LOT of great new friends, bonded with my Prosperity Team Community even more, but more importantly…..

I found ME….the real ME….the POWERFUL ME….and I like it!

If you’d like to keep up with the changes happening in my life, be sure to connect with me on Facebook or my YouTube channel as I get better at making more videos.
