PERFECT START OVER
Unless your life is perfect should you start over? We all seem to subscribe to the theory that there is no such thing as “perfect” in anything, Love, Job, Home or family. If all of that were perfect would you be happy? Really? What would you strive for? We all need something to dream about “The what if’s” of life that cause you to reach for something, but not perfection, perfect is not what it’s cracked up to be.
This discussion is about the one place that “Perfect” can be achieved and that is your career goal or goals, here you can start over, again and again. Why can perfect be reached in career, because it’s a state of mind along with some physical “Stuff” unlike a relationship which is subject to criticism by friends and relatives, career not so much.
For the most part the people who love you will be happy for you because you have attained perfection in a major part of your life and they probably do not know anyone else who has achieved perfection. That’s because in your career you decide what’s perfect, no one else.
Let’s see how easy it really is to have the perfect career.
You, and only you can lay it out your perfect career but try this; 1. You get up when you feel like, perfect. 2. You start your work day when it feels right for you, perfect. 3. Your pay check is exactly what and when you wanted it to be, perfect. 4. You have full benefits, your choice, perfect. 5. You have a vacation whenever and where ever you want it to be, perfect. 6. You work with whomever you wish, perfect. 7. You work, not necessarily from home, but anywhere you like, a hill top over looking the ocean, anywhere, perfect. 8. You have a retirement plan with enough money to allow you to retire whenever it suits you, perfect.

None of this makes you perfectly happy as we have all witnessed, your relationship is one sided, we lose friends to health issues or worse yet death, your mom doesn’t
think you stop by enough, blah, blah, blah you’ve seen all of this and heard it all, unless your 10 years old, but . . . you have achieved the perfect career.
I believe that since you now have the perfect career you can make the rest of your life closer to perfection than previously thought. One more obstacle, your belief level. Most of us do not have the mind set to believe we can do this, but we know that if we can dream it we can achieve it, and that’s perfect.
Now the hard part, define your perfect all by your self, no input from mom or dad set up your goals of perfection and do not give in to anyone. For example, you want to be stay at home worker with all that was described above but Noooooo, you are Vice President of a major bank, not perfect but all of your friends and relatives think you are the luckiest person they know, you? Not so much, not perfect.
Because EVERYONE you know is envious of you, it must be right for you to be the VP of a Bank. I told you this perfect stuff is hard as hell isn’t it, you can’t really say your job is perfect if it’s not what you want to do, “Damn it” you might say, “why can’t I have my perfect career FROM HOME, that would be perfect.
