Some things about your life are not up for negotiation, and most people could not name theirs if asked. Ellen Strotz Macieiski can, and she lists them plainly: what she believes about energy and about God, what a person is responsible for, and the rule that she will not promote anything she does not believe in.
That last one turns into the most useful post here. She argues that failing to sell something is often not a skill problem at all, but the entirely reasonable outcome of trying to move people towards a thing you privately doubt.
The rest concerns children and how they are raised. She remembers walking home for lunch in the middle of a school day, and knowing it was time to head back because a television clown's programme had finished. She sets that against handing your child to somebody else for the largest part of every day, and she is not gentle about it.
There are eight posts and they run long. Read the one about promoting what you believe before you write another sales page.
