Are You Letting Distractions Get Between You And Your Personal Development & Personal Success?

I’ll bet you have several times in your life. I know I personally have let distraction upset the apple cart in my personal success & personal development. We are all guilty. But can you blame us – really – look at everything in our daily lives that can jump out at any moment and throw us off our game.

Ok – maybe this dog is a bit overboard, but it’s funny as hell. Imagine this crazy animal letting it’s own leg distract him from his bone? I had a beagle who loved her bones and chewies and we would tease her that we were going to take them, but she never did anything like this…

If that dog above was mine, I would take it on the road and do LIVE shows. You would make a killing with that crazy dog and would make a lot of people happy

Distractions can screw up your personal development and set you back…

I can only speak from personal experiences and what I see happen to those close to me.

Lately I have set a goal to go for a brisk walk everyday for 30 mins or more to improve my health. I was doing really good, I was doing my daily walks and feeling great about it. Then I decided to renovate my basement washroom and why I don’t know, I started skipping my walks.

As I’m writing this blog, I’m commiting to start up again tomorrow morning. I’m sure I could have fit my walks into my schedule but I got derailed some how – my personal development suffered because of it.

Distractions in personal success has reared it’s ugly head more than once in my home business as well…

Too many times I’ve let SHINY BUTTONS or Too Good to Pass Up opportunities throw me off my game. There is so much fluff, flash & trash that pops up sometimes and if you aren’t 100% focused on what you are already doing, you can get sucked in the wrong direction way to easily.

Don’t feel bad, this can happen to anyone for any reason.

It could be your diet, business, health, education or anything. Don’t beat yourself up over it because then you let IT win. Just get back on that horse and focus like a rabid chihuahua dog on a meaty bone.

NO PUN INTENDED (well yes there was, haha).

Seriously though, the other night I was listening to an Empower Network call with David Wood & David Sharp…

…and these two genuises were speaking about this very topic. Are you still with me? We are talking about personal development and personal success and the distractions that can trip us up – Just checking.

Anyways, they were talking about how they were guilty of distractions just a short time ago and that they both realized their personal success & personal development was being eluded by distractions. They were getting in their own way so to speak.

David Wood mentioned how someone who was very successful pulled him aside and asked David who he was listening to. If that person he was listening to was having any success at all.

That’s when David had a wake up call.

David Wood and David Sharpe always remind us that every resource we need to have success at Empower Network is already here…

…and they are right!

The products we have at our disposal are the best in the industry, because they are taught by people that are having huge success and every day someone new has a breakthrough.

So why listen to people that aren’t having success but promise that almighty glory land?

In my Empower Network business we have a team we call the “Prosperity Team”. We have more resources on top of what is available to us already. All we need to do is plug into our team resources as well as Empower Networks training and products and FOCUS!

Here is what I keep reminding myself to be like…

I tell myself to be like a TRAIN. Trains are on rails, they can’t turn left or right. Trains can only go straight forward in one direction.

I guess they could go backwards, but then that would be like the silly dog in the above video wouldn’t it?
