Do you have a Major Definite Purpose?

Unlike the butterfly above, we human’s can choose what our major definite purpose is.

The Major Definite Purpose is outlined in the book “think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.

For those of you that have never heard of this book, it was written back in 1938 and is one of the first self help books.

And most of the self help book that are on the market today has much of the same information in them.

Unfortunately it has gone through a few revisions, where some of the content was removed, due to being controversial, leaving the original manuscript extremely hard to come by.  (But no worries)

In Chapter 4, you will find a suggested outline of a visualization exercise that would be used as your Major Definite Purpose, if it were to accumulate money alone.  The author tells us to read this aloud morning and night with our eyes closed to visualize with faith that it has happened.

In Chapter 3 there is a Self-Confidence Formula that I put under the Major Definite Purpose to help in that area as well.

It took me a while of going through this book and reading my major definite purpose many times before it sunk into my thick head. Some of us tend to be a bit hard headed about a lot of things that we are comfortable with, liking our nice, safe, stagnate comfort zones!

While I was reading my my Major Definite Purpose and Self-confidence Formulas this morning a few of the words jumped out at me, as if that is what I needed to work on.  Well, it definitely is!

Talk about taking one outside their comfort zone! I underlined the words, selfishness and cynicism, and I will kick them out of my life for good!!  Realizing that they were some of my self limiting beliefs from my youth, growing up in low cost housing and how people spoke around me.

I used to think that cynicism was just part of someones personality, so I didn’t give it a second thought.  Can you relate to this?

You know by judging people, on a surface level, instead of getting to know them and not sharing what you have been blessed with.  Is a road block to success, from the Law of Attraction.

Anyway, here is the Major Definite Purpose and Self-Confidence Formulas that I use, and feel free to use it if you like:

Major Definite Purpose

It is now the 1st day of ________ 2013, and I have in my possession $_____.00 monthly residual income, which has come to me in various amounts from time to time.

 In exchange for this money I gave the most efficient service of which I am capable, rendering the fullest possible quantity and best possible quality of service in the capacity of (_Empower Network_).

 It is now awaiting transfer to me at because I see it in my back office awaiting transfer in the proportion that I desire.  I have delivered the service I needed to do for it to come to me. I have followed the plan that was given to the letter, and it worked like magic!!

 Self-Confidence Formula

First. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

 Second. I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality, therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for thirty minutes daily, upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

 Third. I know through the principle of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it, therefore, I will devote ten minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE.

Fourth. I have clearly written down a description of my DEFINITE CHIEF AIM in life, and I will never stop trying, until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

 Fifth. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.

Learning that I am becoming the best me possible, to be able to help others more, I am working on me more than worrying about making money from others.

Strangely enough, just like in the book, when you consistently visualize with feeling, what you want will show up in interesting ways in your life!
